पुराण शब्द का अर्थ ही है प्राचीन कथा, पुराण विश्व साहित्य के सबसे प्राचीन ग्रँथ हैं, उन में लिखित ज्ञान और नैतिकता की बातें आज भी प्रासंगिक, अमूल्य तथा मानव सभ्यता की आधारशिला हैं..

विशेष तथ्य यह है कि पुराणों में देवी-देवताओं, राजाओं, और ऋषि-मुनियों के साथ साथ जन साधारण की कथाओं का भी उल्लेख किया गया हैं, जिस से पौराणिक काल के सभी पहलूओं का चित्रण मिलता है।

महृर्षि वेदव्यासजी ने अट्ठारह पुराणों का संस्कृत भाषा में संकलन किया है, ब्रह्मदेव, श्री हरि विष्णु भगवान् तथा भगवान् महेश्वर उन पुराणों के मुख्य देव हैं, त्रिमूर्ति के प्रत्येक भगवान स्वरूप को छः पुराण समर्पित किये गये हैं, इन अट्ठारह पुराणों के अतिरिक्त सोलह उप-पुराण भी हैं।

1. ब्रह्म पुराण

ब्रह्मपुराण सब से प्राचीन है, इस पुराण में दो सौ छियालीस अध्याय तथा चौदह हजार श्र्लोक हैं, इस ग्रंथ में ब्रह्माजी की महानता के अतिरिक्त सृष्टि की उत्पत्ति, गंगा अवतरण तथा रामायण और कृष्णावतार की कथायें भी संकलित हैं,..

For a very long time we had heard that Mahmud Ghazni attacked India from 1001 AD- 1027 AD but DO YOU KNOW ?

It was Maharaja Jayapala of Hindu Shahi Dynasty who decided to invade Ghazni twice.

During the period of 870 CE the Hindu Shahi lost Kabul and were forced to retreat. This temporary loss of the great Hindu Shahi kingdom was the beginning of another chapter in the medieval history of the Indian Sub-continent.

The introduction of the Turk warlords completely changed the mentality and the conduct of war. The establishment of this new Muslim Turk authority in Ghazni completely changed the policy of the Muslims.

Under the Turks,the raids on the Hindu Shahi’s and later on northern India became even more aggressive and lethal. The first Hindu king who faced this wave of the Turks was Jayapala, who fought till his last breath in order to protect his kingdom of people.

The Hindu Shahi after 870 CE transferred their capital to Udabhandapura as they had suffered heavy losses from the war against the Arabs and also from the defeat they suffered from a Turkish leader Yaqub ibn Layth.

🌺Bhagwan Vishwakarma: The Architect of the Gods.🌺

Vishwakarma or Vishvakarman (Sanskrit: विश्वकर्मा, means 'all maker').He is a craftsman deity and the divine architect of the gods. In the early texts, the craftsman deity was known as 'Tvastar'.

The word 'Vishwakarma' was originally used as an epithet for any powerful deity.
However, in many later traditions, Vishwakarma became the name of the craftsman god.
He is also the presiding god of all engineers, architects, builders, carpenters, and craftsmen.

He is often stated to be the son of Brahma, but it differs in many other texts. In the Nirukta and Brahmanas he is stated to be the son of Bhuvana. In the Mahabharata and Harivansha, he is the son of Vasu Prabhasa and Yoga-siddha. In the Puranas, he is the son of Vastu.

Vishwakarma is the father of three daughters named Barhishmati, Samjna and Chitrangada. In other texts Vishvakarma is presented as the husband of Gritachi. When identified with Tvastar, Vishvakarma is also described to be the father of a son named Vishvarupa.

The term Visvakarman was originally used as an epithet for any supreme god and as an attribute of Indra and the Sun. The name Visvakarman occurs five times in the tenth book of the Rigveda.

Therefore, the Mahabharata says

मार्तण्डस्य मनुर्धीमानजायत सुतः प्रभुः
मनोर्वंशो मानवानां ततोऽयं प्रथितोऽभवत्

Translation..+

"To Lord Vivasvant was born a son Yama. To Lord Yama was born Mārtaṇḍa. The wise father Manu was born to Lord Mārtaṇḍa. The race [vaṃshaj] born from Manu is the Mānavas . It is this clan that became famous as the clan of mankind."

Then the Mbh says,

ब्रह्मक्षत्रादयस्तस्मान्मनोर्जातास्तु मानवाः

"Brāhmaṇas, Kṣatriyas, Vaiśyas, Shūdras - all these were descended from Manu. Therefore they are Mānavas."

In India, Manu was also the foremost divine lawgiver of mankind. In Greece, King Minos of Crete (Son of Zeus & Europa) was the divine lawgiver to mankind who received the law from Zeus.

Prahlada became the mighty king of the Asuras after Shri Narsimha killed Hiranyakashipu. Prahlada was even more powerful than his father, Hiranyakashipu ever was. He enjoyed the love and respect of his subjects.

By virtue of his good behaviour, Prahlada conquered the three worlds easily and Indra ran away from the Heavens. Indra then deceived Prahlada into giving him the power of his behaviour and Prahlada lost control of the three worlds.

Asuras grew angry at the Devas for taking advantage of their King's virtuous behaviour and invaded the heavens. The Devas, afraid of the Asuras, enlisted the help of human Kings such as Yayati, Raji and Kakutstha and defeated them.

Prahlada attacked the gods and defeated Indra in battle, forcing the King of the Gods to run for his life. Indra sought help of Lord Vishnu. Infused with his power, Indra defeated Prahlada. The latter understood that Vishnu was helping Indra in battle and he withdrew his forces.

Prahlada first gave his kingdom to Andhaka, but the latter was defeated by Shiva. So Prahlada gave it to his son Virochana and undertook a Tirtha Yatra.

श्राद्ध पक्ष में कौओं का बड़ा ही महत्व है। कहते है कौआ यम का प्रतीक है, यदि आपके हाथों दिया गया भोजन ग्रहण कर ले, तो ऐसा माना जाता है कि पितरों की कृपा आपके ऊपर है और वे आपसे ख़ुश है।

कुछ लोग कहते हैं की व्यक्ति मरकर सबसे पहले कौवे के रूप में जन्म लेता है और उसे खाना खिलाने से वह भोजन पितरों को मिलता है

शायद हम सबने अपने घर के किसी बड़े बुज़ुर्ग, किसी पंडित या ज्योतिषाचार्य से ये सुना होगा। वे अनगिनत किस्से सुनाएंगे, कहेंगे बड़े बुज़ुर्ग कह गए इसीलिए ऐसा करना

शायद ही हमें कोई इसके पीछे का वैज्ञानिक कारण बता सके।

हमारे ऋषि मुनि और पौराणिक काल में रहने वाले लोग मुर्ख नहीं थे! कभी सोचियेगा कौवों को पितृ पक्ष में खिलाई खीर हमारे पूर्वजों तक कैसे पहुंचेगी?

हमारे ऋषि मुनि विद्वान थे, वे जो बात करते या कहते थे उसके पीछे कोई न कोई वैज्ञानिक कारण छुपा होता था।

एक बहुत रोचक तथ्य है पितृ पक्ष, भादो( भाद्रपद) प्रकृति और काक के बीच।

एक बात जो कह सकते कि हम सब ने स्वतः उग आये पीपल या बरगद का पेड़/ पौधा किसी न किसी दीवार, पुरानी

इमारत, पर्वत या अट्टालिकाओं पर ज़रूर देखा होगा। देखा है न?

ज़रा सोचिये पीपल या बरगद की बीज कैसे पहुंचे होंगे वहाँ तक? इनके बीज इतने हल्के भी नहीं होते के हवा उन्हें उड़ाके ले जा सके।

🌺सनातन धर्म की के बारे में कुछ महत्त्वपूर्ण बातें🌺

हिन्दू धर्म का एकमात्र धर्मग्रंथ वेद हैं।
वेद के चार भाग हैं- ऋग, यजुर, साम और अथर्व।वेद के ही तत्वज्ञान को उपनिषद कहते हैं जो लगभग 108 हैं। वेद के अंग को वेदांग कहते हैं जो छह हैं; शिक्षा,कल्प,व्याकरण,छंद,ज्योतिष और नियुक्त।

मनु आदि की स्मृतियां, 18 पुराण, रामायण, महाभारत या अन्य किसी भी ऋषि के नाम के सूत्रग्रन्थ धर्मग्रंथ नहीं है। वेद, उपनिषद का सार गीता में है, इसीलिए गीता को भी धर्मग्रंथ की श्रेणी में रखा गया है जो महाभारत का एक हिस्सा है।

वेदों के अनुसार ईश्वर एक ही है और उसका नाम ब्रह्म है (ब्रह्मा नहीं)।उसे ही परमेश्वर, परमपिता, परमात्मा, परब्रह्म आदि कहते हैं। वह निराकार, निर्विकार, अजन्मा, अप्रकट, अव्यक्त, आदि और अनंत है। सभी देवी, देवता, पितृ, ऋषि-मुनि, भगवान आदि उसी का ध्यान और प्रार्थना करते हैं।

विद्वानों के अनुसार लगभग 90000 वर्षों से हिन्दू धर्म निरंतर है। नाम बदला, रूप बदला, परंपराएं बदलीं लेकिन ज्ञान नहीं बदला, देव नहीं बदले और न ही तीर्थ। हमारे पास इस बात के सबूत हैं कि 8000ई पूर्व सिंधु घाटी के लोग हिन्दू ही थे। द्रविड और आर्य एक ही थे।

हिन्दू धर्म जीवन जीने की एक शैली है।
योग, आयुर्वेद, और व्रत के नियम को अपनाकर आप हमेशा सेहतमंद बने रह सकते हैं। इसमे भोजन, पानी, निद्रा, ध्यान, कर्म, मन, बुद्धि और विचार के संबंध में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी है जिसे आज विज्ञान भी मानता है।

तदुपरांत शुक्ल पक्ष की चतुर्थी को प्रथम देव गणेशजी का जन्मदिन यानी गणेश महोत्सव के बाद भाद्र पक्ष माह की पूर्णिमा से अपने पितरों की मोक्ष प्राप्ति के लिए अपने पूर्वजों के प्रति श्रद्धा का महापर्व शुरू हो जाता है।

इसको महापर्व इसलिए बोला जाता है क्योंकि नौदुर्गा महोत्सव नौ दिन का होता है, दशहरा पर्व दस दिन का होता है, पर यह पितृ पक्ष सोलह दिनों तक चलता है।

हिंदू धर्म की के अनुसार अश्विन माह के कृष्ण पक्ष से अमावस्या तक अपने पितरों के श्राद्ध की परंपरा है।

यानी कि 12 महीनों के मध्य में छठे माह भाद्र पक्ष की पूर्णिमा से (यानी आखिरी दिन से) 7वें माह अश्विन के प्रथम पांच दिनों में यह पितृ पक्ष का महापर्व मनाया जाता है।

सूर्य भी अपनी प्रथम राशि मेष से भ्रमण करता हुआ जब छठी राशि कन्या में एक माह के लिए भ्रमण करता है...

महात्मा की खाल ओढ़े ऐक भेड़िये का सच!!

मनु बेन के आइने में गांधी:

मनु बेन महात्मा गाँधी के अंतिम वर्षों की निकट सहयोगी थीं। मनु को प्रायः गाँधीजी की पौत्री कहा जाता है। वास्तव में यह रिश्ता बहुत दूर का था। वह गाँधीजी के चाचा की प्रपौत्री थी।

लगभग अशिक्षित, सोलह-सत्रह वर्ष की लड़की, जिस के पिता जयसुखलाल गाँधी एक लाचार से साधारण व्यक्ति थे। उसी मनु को लेकर गाँधी के ‘ब्रह्मचर्य प्रयोग’ न केवल गाँधी के जीवन के अंतिम प्रयोग हैं, बल्कि सर्वाधिक विवादास्पद भी।

गाँधी की जिद और उन के परिवार व निकट सहयोगियों के विरोध का यह दौर 1946-1947 ई. के दौरान कई महीने चला। इस पर गाँधी से उन के पुत्र देवदास तथा सरदार पटेल, किशोरलाल, नरहरि, आदि सहयोगियों ने गाँधी से आंशिक/ पूर्ण संबंध-विच्छेद तक कर लिया था।

जिन लोगों ने तीखा विरोध किया उन में ठक्कर बापा, बिनोबा भावे, घनश्याम दास बिड़ला, आदि भी थे। आजादी से पहले एक बार सरदार पटेल ने सार्वजनिक रूप से कहा था कि गांधी जी के ब्रह्मचर्य के ये प्रयोग बन्द कर दिए जाने चाहिए। परन्तु नेहरू ने कभी इन प्रयोगों पर प्रश्न नही उठाया।

शायद इसी कारण सरदार पटेल को प्रधानमंत्री नही बन सके। सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल ने 25 जनवरी 1947 को गांधी जी को पत्र लिखा था, जिसमें उनके प्रयोग को भयंकर भूल बताते हुए उसे रोकने को कहा था। पटेल ने लिखा था कि ऐसे प्रयोग से उनके अनुयायियों को गहरी पीड़ा होती है।

हिंदू धर्म में मृत्यु के पश्चात क्यूँ करते हैं अंतिम संस्कार (शव-दाह) !

मृत्यु जीवन का अंतिम सत्य है जिसे कोई टाल नहीं सकता। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने गीता में कहा है कि जिसने जन्म लिया है उसकी मृत्यु निश्चित है और जिसकी मृत्यु हो गई है उसका जन्म भी निश्चित है।

इस कथन से ज्ञात होता है कि जीवन और मृत्यु एक चक्र है जिससे होकर सभी देहधारियों को गुजरना होता है। मृत्यु से जीवन का नया आरंभ होता है इसलिए जीवात्मा का सफर सुखद हो और उसे अगले जन्म में उत्तम शरीर मिले इस कामना से अंतिम संस्कार नियम का पालन जरूरी बताया गया है।

हिन्दू धर्म में गर्भधारण से लेकर मृत्यु के बाद तक कुल सोलह संस्कार बताए गए हैं। सोलहवें संस्कार को अंतिम संस्कार और दाह संस्कार के नाम से जाना जाता है।

इसमें मृत व्यक्ति के शरीर को स्नान कराकर शुद्ध किया जाता है। इसके बाद वैदिक मंत्रों से साथ शव की पूजा की जाती है

फिर बाद में मृतक व्यक्ति का ज्येष्ठ पुत्र अथवा कोई निकट संबंधी मुखाग्नि देता है।

शास्त्रों के अनुसार परिवार के सदस्यों के हाथों से मुखाग्नि मिलने से मृत व्यक्ति की आत्मा का मोह अपने परिवार के सदस्यों से खत्म होता है। और वह कर्म के अनुसार बंधन से मुक्त होकर

अगले शरीर को पाने के लिए बढ़ जाता है

दाह संस्कार इसलिए जरूरी होता है शास्त्रों में बताया गया है शरीर की रचना पंच तत्व से होती है ये पंच तत्व हैं पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु और आकाश।

शव का दाह करने से शरीर जल कर पुन: पंचतत्व में विलीन हो जाता है।
