50 years ago, USA threatened India to stop the 1971 war. India, in the midst of the war, had to send an SOS to the Soviet Union.

A story of #1971War that has been erased from our #History books.

When 🇵🇰's defeat in the #1971War seemed imminent, Kissinger (NSA) spurred Nixon to send the US 7th Fleet’s Task Force, led by the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, to the Bay of Bengal.
The USS Enterprise, at 75,000 ton, was the world's largest nuclear-powered aircraft carrier in the 1970s with more than 70 fighter aircraft, a MONSTER.

The Indian Navy’s fleet was led by the 20,000-ton aircraft carrier, Vikrant, with 20 light fighter aircraft.
The USS Enterprise was being dispatched to secure American citizens in 🇧🇩 was the 'official' American statement.

Unofficially it was to threaten the Indian forces and prevent the liberation of East Pakistan.

🇮🇳 soon got an another bad news.
Soviet intelligence reported to 🇮🇳 that a powerful British naval group led by the aircraft carrier HMS Eagle with commando carrier HMS Albion, several destroyers and other ships were approaching India's territorial waters from the west, towards the Arabian Sea.
The British & the Americans planned a coordinated pincer attack to intimidate 🇮🇳: the British ships in the Arabian Sea will target India's western coast, while the Americans would make a dash to Chittagong.

Caught between the British & the American ships was the Indian Navy.
It was December #1971 , & the world’s two leading democracies were now threatening the world’s largest democracy. An SOS from Delhi was sent to Moscow. The Red Navy soon dispatched 16 Soviet naval units and six nuclear submarines from Vladivostok to block USS Enterprise.
Admiral N. Krishnan, the chief of the Eastern Command of the Indian Navy, wrote in his book, 'No Way But Surrender' that he was afraid that the Americans will reach Chittagong. He mentions how they even thought of attacking Enterprise, in a do or die move, to slow it down.
On December 2nd week 1971, the US 7th Fleet’s Task Force, led by the monstrous USS Enterprise arrived in the Bay of Bengal. The British fleet was arriving in the Arabian Sea.

The world held its breath.
But, unknown to the Americans, the submerged Soviet submarines had overtaken them.

As USS Enterprise moved towards East Pakistan, the Soviet submarines surfaced without any warning. The Soviet subs were now standing between 🇮🇳 and the 🇺🇸 naval force.
The Americans were shocked.

Admiral Gordon told the 7th American Fleet Commander: "Sir, we are too late. The Soviets are here!"

Both the 🇺🇸 and 🇬🇧 fleets backed off.
Today, most Indians have forgotten about this colossal naval chess battle between the two superpowers in the Bay of Bengal.

Pravritti and Nivritti #Thread

Pravritti is worldly interaction i.e from inside to outside whereas Nivritti is inner contemplation i.e from outside to inside.

Let's understand both with examples

Pravritti:

It naturally flows out of us and is there from the time we are born till we die. And we are naturally inclined towards action.

A baby crawls, turns, twists , pulls, pushes, walks, runs without any formal training. Because it's the pravritti of the baby.

Outward interaction is essential for the continuity of life, for organising the Society, and concluding with Karma Yoga.

Right Karmas (action) can bring prosperity, happiness and contentment.

Nivritti

This needs training unlike Pravritti so that we can understand ourselves better, understand our nature, find how we react, how we feel and why do we feel so.

Meditation is that training.

Nivritti leads to the answers of the questions:

Who am I? What am I here for?

It stabilizes our physical body and purifies our thoughts. It also helps us to answer the question: Why should we do this?

Both Pravritti and Nivritti are interconnected.
Today on the Birth Anniversary of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, I wish to narrate how our hero was treated by the Government then.

One of the several reasons, Sam Manekshaw was treated badly, is mentioned in the tweet below 👇🏽

#sammanekshaw

When Dr.Abdul Kalam was the President, he visited Coonoor. On reaching, he came to know that Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw was in the Military Hospital there. Dr.Kalam wanted to visit Sam, which was unscheduled. Arrangements were made.

#sammanekshaw

At the bedside, Kalam spent abt 15 minutes talking to Sam & enquiring abt his health.

Just before leaving Kalam asked Sam "Are you comfortable? Is there anything I could do? Do you have any Grievance ? or any requirement that would make you more comfortable?"

#sammanekshaw

Sam said "Yes Your Excellency, I have one grievance". Shocked with concern & anguish , APJ asked him what it was .

Sam replied "Sir, my grievance is that I am not able to get up & salute the most respected President of my beloved country".

#sammanekshaw

Dr. Kalam held Sam's hand as both were in tears.

But the remaining part of the tale with regards to this meeting is the most essential part.

It seems this tweet of mine has triggered all the so called "liberal" feminists.

A thread by .@AskAnshul clearly explains several vulnerabilities of leaked pics on Telegram.

Almost daily CH sessions on abusing Hindu/Santani women are floated on Twitter.

Here are the advises given to us on this tweet:

1. Wear Burkha - Did I even say that? Posting pics on SM has nothing to do with what you wear.

2. "Aurat ki izzat chali jayegi" is filthy thinking. Santanis should fight & not get scared.

Great ideological advise.

Fight when?

It's like saying - learn to cope with an accident. Safe driving/following traffic rules are unnecessary.

RIP logic👏🏽👏🏽

Now they have started targeting/harassing me and my friend .@pahadanladki . Look at the SS of DMs we are getting.

The only man who had courage to continuously fight for us was .@Tushar_KN . And for that he was been called a Muzzie, and what not.

When .@OlhyanViir ji intervened, he was ridiculed badly.

Why were these men targeted? And look at the threats.

Look at the audacity of these so called Sanatanis, who are mocking and demeaning physical features of @Tushar_KN .

Is this what Sanatanis do? Ridicule someone's physical looks?

And all this after several having gained followers from his weekly #FF .👏🏽👏🏽

And this continues.....
