Morarji Desai(MD) #Thread

Our late Prime Minister Morarji Desai blew India’s most critical covert operation, fully compromised our secret services, & helped Pak make the “Islamic bomb”.

MD a staunch follower of Gandhian philosophies, was a morally corrupt man.

2/8

India’s Pokhran test in 1974 triggered the arms race between India & Pak. Being very wary of India’s fledging nuclear capabilities, Pak sought any help needed to build nuclear weapons for itself.
3/8

Operation Kahuta, one of the deadliest missions of RAW was launched in 1974 with the motive to locate and confirm the existence of the Pak’s secret weapons program.

It took around a decade for RAW to build a network within Pak under the leadership of RN Kao.
4/8

Priority of RAW was to pin point the location of the missile production facility. It is important to remember that Pak kept this so close under wraps that even with the extensive network, RAW got only rumours.

RAW established a good network inside Pakistan by late 1970’s.
5/8

RAW heard rumours about Kahuta plant.

A stunning intelligence operation was carried out by RAW in which they stole the hair samples from the barber shops in Kahuta where the nuclear scientists would come for hair cut.

The samples were analysed for radiation traces.
6/8

India now confirmed that Pak was indeed making nuclear weapons. Israel straightaway wanted to bomb the Kahuta plant. But there was a big screw up on the Indian side.

This was the political betrayal from PM MD.

RAW’s budget was reduced by as much as 30% by MD.
7/8

This led to quitting of Kao, the RAW founder.

In an informal conversation with Zia-ul-Haq, MD revealed details of the RAW network in Pakistan and also confirmed that India was aware of the enrichment happening at the Kahuta facility.
8/8

Pak hunted the brave men across its land, killing many of them with such brutality which is beyond our imagination. The entire network was neutralised. Kaoboys were killed. Thanks to MD.

In short India helped Pak become a nuclear power.

Pravritti and Nivritti #Thread

Pravritti is worldly interaction i.e from inside to outside whereas Nivritti is inner contemplation i.e from outside to inside.

Let's understand both with examples

Pravritti:

It naturally flows out of us and is there from the time we are born till we die. And we are naturally inclined towards action.

A baby crawls, turns, twists , pulls, pushes, walks, runs without any formal training. Because it's the pravritti of the baby.

Outward interaction is essential for the continuity of life, for organising the Society, and concluding with Karma Yoga.

Right Karmas (action) can bring prosperity, happiness and contentment.

Nivritti

This needs training unlike Pravritti so that we can understand ourselves better, understand our nature, find how we react, how we feel and why do we feel so.

Meditation is that training.

Nivritti leads to the answers of the questions:

Who am I? What am I here for?

It stabilizes our physical body and purifies our thoughts. It also helps us to answer the question: Why should we do this?

Both Pravritti and Nivritti are interconnected.
