SHIVA CHANTS SERIES-DAY 3:

𝕄𝔸ℍ𝔸𝕂𝔸𝕃𝔸 𝕊𝕋𝕌𝕋𝕀

Author:Brahma Ji(Brahma Khand, Skanda Mahapurana)

Mahakaleshwara at Ujjain is one of the Dwadasha Jyotirlinga, which is associated with Libra(Tula) Rashi. It is he who causes the exaltation of Saturn (Shani-Deva).

A prayer at this Jyotirlinga is bound to bless one with health & life as Shiva in the form of Mahakala is pacified. Saturn is the Dharmaraja of a chart & its deity is Yama who never fails in upholding Dharma.

So this Saturday, I present this stuti with pictures of Hanuman Shringar of Mahakala so that the combined blessings of Mahakala & Hanuman bestow kripa of Shani-deva upon you all.

Hindi translation from Sanskrit documents.

Every time i see a reference to The Glorious Qur'an, i remember Abdullahi Yusuf Ali whose life didn't end the way i believe it was supposed to (this is my opinion) but Allah knows best. A Thread:

Abdullahi Yusuf Ali wrote probably the most wildly used translation of the Qur'an titled, The Glorious Qur'an: Translations and commentary. The morning of 10th December 1953, a policeman found a half-conscious old man slumped on a street bench in the Westminster area of London.

The man died a day later and you guessed right, the delirious old man was Abdullahi Yusuf Ali. Although he wrote the most famous translation of the Qur'an, was one of the most senior muslim civil servants in India, inaugurated the first mosque in Canada...

...represented India at the Paris Peace Talks in 1919, was a trustee of London’s oldest mosque, was a known educationist and a prolific writer on Islam; He died alone, homeless, and with no one by his side.

Yusuf Ali lived at a time when the British were pillaging, ransacking and colonizing the world. During world war I, the british had nearly half a million muslim soldiers (indian/pakistani/bangladeshi) and Some refused to fight the Turkish Ottoman soldiers who had joined the war..

superbly interesting observations.

since the thread spirals into a blackpill, let's see if we can shift it back to normal track

2/
background: progressivism is the official religion of the west.
USA is exporting it heavily to other countries.

two subject to investigate:
- what are the differences between USA and target countries
- how to get the society back on track

3/
>It just creates a selection pressure for religions to shed the spandrels named "church" and "god."

key words: "selection pressure".

we want a counter-pressure for

4/
also sometimes expressed as, "there is a god-shaped hole in human

5/
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." (new king james version)
@SadhguruJV, I have taken Inner Engineering courses, visited Isha Ashram, subscribed to your videos. I will be stopping this because you seem intent on converting Hindus to Xianity

Bible says horrific things about non-Christians. Jesus endorsed all this. Let me show you...

1/9

Here's what New Testament says about non-believing Heathen eg Hindus:

Matthew13:41-42 “Son of man shall send forth his angels and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend…and cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth"

2/9

Jude5 “The Lord destroyed them that believed not”

Acts3:23 “Every soul which will not hear that prophet (Jesus) shall be destroyed from among the people”

Revelation21:8 “The unbelieving and idolaters…shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone”

3/9

Thessalonians 1:8-9 “Lord Jesus…in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ shall be punished with everlasting destruction”

John15:6 “If a man abide not in me…cast them into the fire and they are burned”

4/9

Luke13:3-5, repeating Jesus' words “Except ye repent shall all likewise perish”

Mark16:15-16, repeating Jesus' words “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved but he that believed not shall be damned”

Friends. Some months ago I had shared the idea that acclaimed writer & translator Musharraf Ali Farooqi & I had to excavate, annotate & print in high quality a classic of world literature – Tilism-e-Hoshruba. I had also shared why this magical piece of work has tremendous 1/

literary, cultural & civilizational significance for us & why it needs to be made available in a much more authentic, approachable & attractive form. Together we, therefore, put together Project Hoshruba to take this forward. Project Hoshruba website now up. 2/

And here's the link:
https://t.co/7eIXCrCI59

Out 1st target was to raise Rs. 3 Million through a group of select Friends of Hoshruba whom we approached based on our perception that they would not just be supportive of such a cause but that the cause 3/

would gain from support of such people not merely financially but in multifarious ways, given their acumen & achievements, public mindedness, the value they attach to literature, culture & the arts, & their commitment in general to noble causes.

I must confess that despite 4/

being confident we were simply overwhelmed by their positivity & generosity. All it took was just 1 short conversation. We're delighted & proud they have put their trust in this endeavor & will further guide & facilitate us to take Project Hoshruba to successful completion 5/
Excellent thread by Rabbi Reuvane about the level (or lack thereof) of Jewish literacy amongst Progressive American Jews. It speaks directly to a conversation I was having yesterday with a congregant in his 20s. He recently started attending Chabad shiurim, and loves them. 1/10

He was baffled by his Jewish education topping out at the Babylonian and Roman exiles. He was enthralled with the lives of the early Rabbis, and how Jewish intellectual culture developed over the centuries. There was more than a little bit of anger at what he'd been deprived. 2/

I had the same experience when I did my MA in Hebrew Bible at JTS. I grew up very involved in my synagogue through high school, and went on the Alexander Muss program in Israel. I came out of all that not even knowing what the Mishna or the Talmud were, and I'm a good student. 3/

My honest appraisal is that most of our Progressive synagogues were created to be institutions that helped new Jewish immigrant families integrate into American culture, and we haven't shifted from that. My one quibble with @RabbiReuvane is with the de-assimilation piece. 4/

It's not about de-assimilation, but re-integration. Our institutions broadly accomplished the goal of helping folks like my Ashki great grandparents and their descendants gain access to mainstream acceptance just like other white European immigrant groups in America. 5/
