THREAD: @DemocraticAGs Co-Chairs MA AG @Maura_Healey & NV AG @AaronDFordNV statement on Republican Attorneys General Association & Republican AGs **Involvement** in the âStop the Stealâ Rallyđđť
âThe continued peddling of conspiracy theories and pandering to President Trumpâs dangerous lies by the Republican Attorneys General Association, the Rule of Law Defense Fund, and some current and former Republican Attorneys General has gone unchecked for too long."
"Current and former Republican AGs have been directly involved with efforts to undermine the results of the 2020 presidential election..."
"...and now the party of so-called âlaw and orderâ played a role in recruiting the domestic terrorists who breached the U.S. Capitol to attack Vice President Mike Pence for doing his Constitutionally-mandated job to certify the Electoral College.â
âRAGA, RLDFâand the Republican AGs who blindly take their supportâhave no legal or moral ground on which to stand here..."

The @RepublicanAGs dark-money policy arm sent out a robocall urging "patriots" to attend yesterday's protests to "continue to fight to protect the integrity of our elections." https://t.co/dMq3OWqvEg

should probably identify some things that I feel are plausible risks right now
i dont have any idea how large these risks are
going to focus on first order risks because most of them have tons of knock-on effects
1. per a now-deleted thread, anything happening to supreme court justices
2. right wingers doing something really stupid
3. democrats massively overreaching and causing a hostile rupture with establishment republicans
4. Congressional Republicans doing something really stupid as a body. I specifically mean House republicans, I think it is unlikely the Senators will be stupid

I mean... all my friends who prepared for a global pandemic and were stockpiling masks in February are freaking out about this Trump ban thing so it seems safe to ignore them since they are never right about anything.

LIVE: UK judge Vanessa Baraitser set to rule on Julian Assange's extradition shortly. Live updates to follow below:
#Assange
Connected to video platform with other journos, just getting things setup. Keep your fingers crossed for Julian.
Again, I can't overstate the importance of this case. The US is attempting to extra-territorialize its draconian espionage act, trash its own 1st amendment, and bully a journalist who is not American or broken a law in the US, because he exposed their crimes against humanity.
Also worth noting how one-sided and unbalanced the UK/US extradition treaty is, heavily favouring the US. From my interview with Gary McKinnon who the US also tried to extradite
The UK/US Extradition Treaty prohibits extradition for political trials (this being one). That part is mysteriously missing in its UK implementation: the Extradition Act 2003.
§91b, barring extradition on health grounds, IS included. This must be considered given Julian's health.

"The treaty says that the US can have any UK citizen extradited without a burden of proof, just reasonable suspicion, whereas the UK can\u2019t do the same to a US citizen since they are protected by their constitution." pic.twitter.com/p5o1J7SIda
