There is a new "non-partisan" analysis of Michigan voting data conducted by multiple unpaid citizens and volunteer experts.

First they looked at the shift in voting patterns that occurred between the 2016 and 2020 elections to identify suspicious counties. The two with the largest shifts were Oakland and Wayne.

After plotting each county they examined the correlations between Election Day votes and absentee votes. Trump's results correlate while Biden's votes skew overwhelmingly for absentee ballots. They call this a "serious statistical aberration."

Looking at Wayne county again they find that since the 2016 election the county has allegedly shifted 15 points in favor of the democrats.

They identified several townships in Wayne county that are anomalous. In one township, Biden gained "151% of the new registered voters and 97% of the new votes above 2016."

What we found is that apart from the room eligibility there is no other significant difference between the plans.

This may have called for a lower “per lakh” premium, but it does not justify a discount of 37% for a 400% higher cover

So we dug deeper :)

We checked, rechecked, spoke to experts and the answer came down to simple market mathematics 🧮

Something you need to understand well.

Say you have a mobile plan with a quota of 3GB of data a day.

The average usage is say 2 GB a day.

Now if you apply for an upgrade to 10GB a day - the telco knowing this will rarely be utilised, can upgrade the plan at an extremely low cost, and not at the per GB rate.

Similarly, when you today buy a cover of 25 Lakhs. Since the average claims are say 3 Lakhs today, there are very tiny chances you will use the cover over 10 Lakhs in the short term.

So whatever amount the insurer charges today over 10 Lakhs is a bonus.

The most reviled man in early 19th century America (because he wrote The Age of Reason) died a pauper in the worst kind of squalor, his body covered in cankers. Denied burial at the Quaker burying ground, he was buried in the orchard of his home in New Rochelle, New York State.

Only six mourners showed up for his funeral. No eulogies were offered. Marguerite Bonneville, a woman he had rescued from France, who became his caretaker in his final years, recalled his interment in this manner:

I, placing myself at the east end of the grave said to my son Benjamin, “stand you there, at the other end, as a witness for a grateful America.” Looking around me and beholding the small group of spectators, I exclaimed as the earth was tumbled into the grave:

“Oh! Mr. Paine! My son stands here as the testimony for the gratitude of America, and I, for France!”

So far this year, we’ve taken three closed churches into our care. They were no longer needed for worship. Two would have been demolished.

Our places of worship are the spiritual investment of generations, and they should survive.

St Helen's, Barmby-on-the-Marsh, Yorkshire closed in 2007. The earliest record of a chapel here dates to 1388. In 1489, the parishioners petitioned at Rome for a grander church. This was granted. Only the nave survives from this date.

The medieval tower with timber spire was ruinous by 1773, and was dismantled, rebuilt in red brick and crowned with a copper cupola. The chancel seems to have been added only in the 19th century, when the church was restored in 1854 by Thomas Clarke.

Like St Helen’s, St Lawrence’s, Hutton Bonville, NR of Yorkshire also closed in 2007. It has lain empty since then. St Lawrence’s is a small medieval church that was much altered in the 18th and 19th centuries.
