Manu is a term found with various meanings in Hinduism. In early texts, it refers to the archetypal man, or to the first man (progenitor of humanity). The Sanskrit term for 'human', means 'of Manu' or 'children of Manu'.

In later texts, Manu is the title or name of fourteen Kshatriya rulers of earth, or alternatively as the head of dynasties that begin with each cyclic kalpa when the universe is born anew.

The title of the text Manusmriti uses this term as a prefix, but refers to the first Manu – Svayambhuva, the spiritual son of Brahma.

In the earliest mention of Manu, in the Rigveda, Manu is only the ancestor of the "Five Peoples", or "Páñca Jánāḥ"

(the five tribes being the Anus, Druhyus, Yadus, Turvashas, and Purus). The Indo-Aryans considered all other peoples to be a-manuṣa. Later, in the Hindu cosmology, each kalpa consists of fourteen Manvantaras, and each Manvantara is headed by a different Manu.

The current universe is asserted to be ruled by the 7th Manu named Vaivasvata. Vaivasvat was the king of Dravida before the great flood. He was warned of flood by the Matsya avatar of Vishnu&built a boat that carried Vedas,Manu's family &the seven sages to safety,helped by Matsya

Astrologically, the human body is called microcosmos (Pinda) and possesses all the tatwas present in the macrocosmos known as Bramhand.

Chhath Mahaparva: Why in Bihar?

During the Vedic period, a demon called ‘Gayasur’ lived in ‘Keekat Pradesh’, a vast area spanning most of central India. He was an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu. Gayasur was massive in size too. It is said that when he lay on the ground,

his head would fall in northern India and his legs in the Andhra region. Most significantly, his heart would lie in Gaya.

The devtas were very scared of Gayasur as he would often trouble them. They were desperate to get rid of him and so they approached Lord Brahma.

But Brahma said He was helpless because Gayasur was among the greatest devotees of Lord Vishnu and nothing could be done to the demon.

The devtas then went to Lord Vishnu but He, too, was very reluctant to end the life of His most ardent devotee. The devtas suggested to Vishnu

that He could at least allow a ‘yagna’, invoking His name, to be performed on Gayasur’s heart, which lay in the Gaya region.

Lord Vishnu reluctantly agreed and approached Gayasur, who realised that the performance of the yagna – that too in Vishnu’s name – would lead to his

instant death. But he couldn't refuse the request because he was a passionate devotee of Vishnu.

Lord Vishnu, in turn, blessed Gayasur that his name would never ever be forgotten. Vishnu ordained that the place where a yagna was to be performed on Gayasur's heart – that is,

Thread: Central Pivot Range (CPR)

CPR is another popular tool. Three lines are plotted on the chart when we plot CPR.

The three lines are: CPR, TC and BC.

Let’s understand the calculation.

You may recall that I explained the calculation of Pivot levels in an earlier thread. CPR stands for Central Pivot Range. It is always a center line of the three lines that gets plotted in the chart.

CPR is a Pivot price. Pivot is average of HLC as explained in the prev thread.

We also discussed about Mid-range of the session. Mid-range is average of High and low price of the session.

The mid-range of the bar is known as BC in the CPR calculation. BC stands for Bottom central pivot.

Pivot level captures the relationship of the closing price to the range of the session.

Pivot price above mid-price = bullish pivot
Pivot price below mid-price = bearish pivot

So, CPR line is Pivot and BC line is Mid-range.

What is the difference between both?
Mid-range is average of High and Low.

Pivot is average of High, Low and Close.
What will make the difference between the two?

Close.

Whenever you feel like having sugar, drink a glass of water and then have sugar-free chewing gum.

Water fills your stomach.

“गोवर्धन धराधार गोकुल त्राणकारक।
विष्णुबाहु कृतोच्छ्राय गवां कोटिप्रभो भव।।

देवराज इन्द्र के अभिमान को चूर करने हेतु भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने, जो स्वयं लीलाधारी श्री हरि विष्णु के अवतार हैं ने एक लीला रची।

मैया के ऐसा कहने पर श्री कृष्ण बोले मैया हम इन्द्र की पूजा क्यों करते हैं ?

मैया ने कहा वह वर्षा करते हैं जिससे अन्न की पैदावार होती है उनसे हमारी गायों को चारा मिलता है।

भगवान श्री कृष्ण बोले हमें तो गोर्वधन पर्वत की पूजा करनी चाहिए क्योंकि हमारी गाये वहीं चरती हैं, इस दृष्टि से गोर्वधन पर्वत ही पूजनीय है और इन्द्र तो कभी दर्शन भी नहीं देते व पूजा न करने पर क्रोधित भी होते हैं अत: ऐसे अहंकारी की पूजा नहीं करनी चाहिए।

लीलाधारी की लीला और माया से सभी ने इन्द्र के बदले गोवर्घन पर्वत की पूजा की।

देवराज इन्द्र ने इसे अपना अपमान समझा और मूसलाधार वर्षा शुरू कर दी। प्रलय के समान वर्षा देखकर सभी बृजवासी भगवान को लगने लगा कि ये सब श्री कृष्ण की बात मानने के फलस्वरूप हुआ
