Bajiprabhu Deshpande was a great Maratha warrior who lead an Army of just 300 maratha warriors against an army of 10,000 plus Adil Shahi forces in the narrow Ghod Kind pass which was later renamed as Paavan Kind by Shivaji Maharaj.

This is his story.

Bajiprabhu Deshpande, born in a Marathi Chandrasainya Kayastha Prabhu family on 1615 CE.The Great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was deeply impressed by him and appointed him as the military commander of south Maharashtra around the Kohlapur region.

Maratha infantry soldiers were trained to fight with their traditional sword known as Dandpatta, also know as Gauntlet sword in English. The patta has a long straight blade ranging in length from 10 to 44 inches with the gauntlet integrated in the sword as the hand gun.

Both Sivaji Maharaj & Bajiprabhu were master in using dandpatta.Maratha soldiers especially infantrymen used to fight with dandpatta against heavy cavalry.
After killing treacherous Afzal Khan in the battle of Pratapgarh,Marathas were able to capture Panhala fort near Kolhapur.

The marathas under Netaji Palkar then attacked Bijapur but the Bijapur forces resisted the attack.Shivaji maharaj then set their base at Panhala fort.
Under Siddhi Johar,the Adilshahi forces laid siege of the Panhala fort and were able to trap Shivaji Maharaj for almost 5 months.

At 38, David Ogilvy was unemployed and hadn't written a word of copy.

Three years later, he was the most famous copywriter in the advertising industry.

And became known as the Father of Advertising.

US Fed's balance sheet has doubled from $4.2 trn to $8.4trn since COVID began. Similarly ECB, BOJ, BOE and EM central banks have embarked on massive monetary stimulus.

This was used to finance Govt deficit. This monetization/debasement is bullish for Gold.

Negative real rates
Gold prices follow moves in interest rates. Real interest rates are the nominal level of interest rates minus the inflation rate. Negative real rates erode the value of money. Gold being a store of value benefits from this...

Real rates are the most negative that they have been. Even junk bond yields have turned negative adjusted for inflation.
Gold moves inline with moves in real rates. With inflation still above normal trend and central banks likely to keep rates low, Gold is likely to benefit.

Next time you eat a favorite dessert, remember the story of Hindus who extracted sugar & refined it from sugarcane plants before 4000 BCE. The word sugar comes from Sanskrit शर्करा (śarkarā), meaning "ground  substance”.  It is mentioned as far back as the Valmiki Ramayana.

Indian sailors, who ate Ghee & sugar on long trips also introduced sugar to many other countries through numerous naval trade routes. By the 6th C. CE, Indians took sugar cultivation and processing to Persia, and from there it was taken to the Mediterranean by Arab expansion.

Basics of the moving average:

It takes average of the price for the duration we want.

So 10 days moving average means an average price of 10 days closing price.

Common types of Moving Average:
Simple, Exponential, Weighted.

Use only one type in your trading setup.

1⃣ Moving Average Crossovers:

Common strategy used by positional traders and investor in finding multibagger or good returns stocks.

Common crossover used is for 50 & 200 Moving Average.

Also, this is called as "𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿"

In this buy signal is initiated when lower MA (50 EMA) crosses above higher MA (200 EMA).
And exit or sell signal is intiated when lower MA (50 EMA) crosses below higher MA (200 EMA).

Stocks that are in consolidation or on the verge of a breakout and has already given a breakout from consolidation - both category stocks should be in your watchlist.

Now the question is.. with so many stocks around, how one must filter and check? (2/12)

I mostly trade in F&O stocks in Intraday - it has 188 stocks after new addition and can be filtered as per sector rotation.
Find the sector or theme with good recent performance and keep its stocks in watchlist. I keep an alert for breakout price when I see a good chart. (3/12)

Another way to filter stocks is to keep an eye on the new additions in the F&O and the stocks that are in news.

Not every stock gives a move of 7-8%. Look for stock that move 7-8% in one go when they give a breakout (Stocks unlike ITC that moves once in a year). (4/12)

There are a few stocks that are tailor made for ORB. And those stocks should be in your watchlist.
IRCTC, Mindtree, Bajaj Twins, IEX, TataElxsi, Naukri, Coforge are some great examples. Rest you can observe and add.

Do not get stuck thinking when is the right time. Any time you have a topic in hand and the willingness to start is the right time.

For me, it started with helping my colleagues with customer documentations. Anything can be a trigger.

2. Find your NICHE

The topic IDEA is always around you. There are two possibilities,

1. You are good at something
2. You want to be good at something

These possibilities build your niche in the technical areas. Tap on what you want to learn or share. You got your topic.

3. You Need to READ To WRITE

Yes, It's hard to create value with writing without reading. Build a reading habit to write better. Start side projects to write using your first-hand experiences.

Reading and side-projects around a technical area give you ample ideas to write.

4. Your Writing Is Your Reflection.

You are unique, your style is unique, your expressions are unique, your writing will be unique too. Your writing style is a reflection of who you are.

Be AUTHENTIC. Inspiration is ok but No need to borrow the style. Your style gonna work.
