THREAD #Cascadia thinks green. We think we're they climate leader that we Can, Should and Must be. But despite promises + initiatives, #GHG emissions from #BritishColumbia, #Washington & #Oregon just keep rising. 1/9

Today @INVW launched a year-long reporting project about #Cascadia's capacity to gear-up on climate action, get off fossil fuels, and slash carbon emissions... A deep dive on how 1 region can DECARBONIZE. 2/9

@INVW's series Getting to Zero: Decarbonizing Cascadia opens with #BritishColumbia, #Washington & #Oregon's Lost Decade - How #Cascadia set some of North America's first and boldest #GHG targets, and failed to deliver. 3/9

Yes, #Cascadia's economies expanded 26 percent after the Great Recession. But so did #California. It had policies to guide economic growth - particularly to temper growing emissions from cars and trucks. #BC #WA & #OR did not. 4/9

All year we'll be exploring the people, policies and firms working to finally start transforming #Cascadia into the climate fighter its residents expect and need. It's an ambitious reporting project, nearly unique in its cross-border US-Canadian focus. 5/9

New to the concept of #Cascadia? It's a still-evolving moniker with multiple meanings: Bioregion... Eco-social liberation movement... Culture zone that spans the US-Canada border, as captured in #YVR band @saidthewhale's 2019 title track. 8/9 https://t.co/4kIex1wv6i
But for @INVW's #GtZ project, #Cascadia = #BritishColumbia #WashingtonState & #Oregon. All have big extractive industries + high-tech cities + fast-diversifying populations, use a lot of renewable hydropower, and face common challenges in the transition from fossil fuels. 9/9

I’ll address every nonsense argument and lie used to defend the suicidal gender ideology Thats in vogue today:

3:45 - “So what if you don’t have gametes?”

It’s called a birth defect. You’re still male or female.

~5:00 *nonsense trying to say the sexes of seahorses could be swapped coz male carry the eggs*

male doesn’t produce eggs, he produces the sperm. He’s still the male. If I impregnated a chick then carried the amniotic sac in a backpack ‘til the baby was done I’ll still be male🤦‍♂️

5:10 - we could say there’s 4 sexes of fruit fly cause there’s 3 producers of different sized sperm

No. They’re still producing sperm. They’re males. This is idiotic. Is this whole video like this? (Probably. 99% likely. Abandon hope.)

~6:10 - hermaphroditism and sequential hermaphroditism exists therefore....

No. Some animals being hermaphrodites, which is meaningless w/o the existence of binary sex to contrast it to, still doesn’t make gender ideology or transgenderism valid.

Intersex ≠ transgenderism 🙄

6:20 - bilateral gynandromorphism is a disorder in some species (not in humans). Has nothing to do w/ “gender” or transgenderism.

Ova-testes in humans are also a disorder, usually found in those w/ the karyotype disorders that you ppl also try to appropriate (extra X’s/Y’s).

The chorus of this song uses the shlokas taken from Sundarkand of Ramayana.

It is a series of Sanskrit shlokas recited by Jambavant to Hanuman to remind Him of his true potential.

1. धीवर प्रसार शौर्य भरा: The brave persevering one, your bravery is taking you forward.

2. उतसारा स्थिरा घम्भीरा: The one who is leaping higher and higher, who is firm and stable and seriously determined.

3. ुग्रामा असामा शौर्या भावा: He is strong, and without an equal in the ability/mentality to fight

4. रौद्रमा नवा भीतिर्मा: His anger will cause new fears in his foes.

5.विजिटरीपुरु धीरधारा, कलोथरा शिखरा कठोरा: This is a complex expression seen only in Indic language poetry. The poet is stating that Shivudu is experiencing the intensity of climbing a tough peak, and likening

it to the feeling in a hard battle, when you see your enemy defeated, and blood flowing like a rivulet. This is classical Veera rasa.

6.कुलकु थारथिलीथा गम्भीरा, जाया विराट वीरा: His rough body itself is like a sharp weapon (because he is determined to win). Hail this complete

hero of the world.

7.विलयगागनथाला भिकारा, गरज्जद्धरा गारा: The hero is destructive in the air/sky as well (because he can leap at an enemy from a great height). He can defeat the enemy (simply) with his fearsome roar of war.

3/ On evaluating where someone’s head is at regarding a topic they are being wishy-washy about or delaying.

“Fast forward 6 months after your sabbatical--how would you decide: what criteria is most important to you?”

4/ Other Q’s re: decisions:

“Putting aside a list of pros/cons, what’s the *one* reason you’re doing this?” “Why is that the most important reason?”

“What’s end-game here?”

“What does success look like in a world where you pick that path?”

5/ When listening, after empathizing, and wanting to help them make their own decisions without imposing your world view:

“What would the best version of yourself do”?
