@MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 Mathis here belongs to a sliver of Jews in our tormented history who succumbed to the millennial war of attrition waged upon Jews and decided that resistance is futile and better join the persecuters and maligners than be their targets. /1

@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 It's not enough that they were "liberated" from their Jewish shackles but they have to prove, convert-style, that whatever the antisemites do or say, they will out-do and out-slander Jews and thus gain some love for their wretched person. Examples: /2
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 Pablo Christiani, a converted rabbi from 12th century Spain, who took his children from his wife after he converted, tried to ban the Talmud, and, with the Pope's dispensation, compelled Jews to listen to his speeches and answer his questions in their synagogues. /3
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 A more recent example is Irene Nemirovsky, a talented author whose novels contained vicious portraits of Jews. She and her husband would die in Auschwitz, despite their pleading to Vichy for leniency on account of her sharing their distaste for Jews./3
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 I can find it in my heart to somewhat forgive Nemirovsky who lived in viciously unforgiving times. Maimonedes wd have mitigated for her sin of not loving Israel (Jewish people) in such circumstances, had he been her contemporary, I speculate. /4
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 But how to account for the viciousness of an American Jew who has no fear and is under no moral obligation to slander Jews in order to save himself or his family? Trotsky, the father of righteous socialists, himself chose to promote socialism but never -ever- waged war on Jews /5
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 who chose Zionism as their path to liberation. He wrote in July 1940:
"The attempt to solve the Jewish question through the migration of Jews to Palestine can now be seen for what it is, a tragic mockery of the Jewish people. /6
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 Interested in winning the sympathies of the Arabs who are more numerous than the Jews, the British government has sharply altered its policy toward the Jews, and has actually renounced its promise to help them found their “own home” in a foreign land. /7
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 The future development of military events may well transform Palestine into a bloody trap for several hundred thousand Jews."
Trotsky undertood the perfidy of Brits but was still heavily biased against the possibility that Jews could actually defend themselves and prevail. /8
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 The thought that the 100Ks Palestinian Jews would have the motivation, perseverance, stamina and passion to transform that "bloody trap" into a winning strategy never seems to have crossed his mind. /9
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 Despite his own ability to overcome Jewish predisposition to unworldliness, he failed to imagine other Jews cd overcome dependence andpowerlessness. He thought Zionism was a doomed project, to be defeated as Jews were always defeated in history. /10
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 To sum, one cd choose to discard his or her Jewishness or Jewish affiliations without turning into a Pablo Christiani, into a slanderer of other Jews, with the intent to rob them of the tiny plot of land that is their ancestral homeland. /11
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 THere's something truly repulsive about such people, who, proclaiming themselves to be speaking "As Jews" go out of their way to demonize Israeli Jews and defend their enemies.

There are 6.5M Jews in the Middle East, and 450M Arabs. /12
@Zuasibel @MouthFactory @Lawrenc04048984 In 1922 there were ~14.4 M Jews in a world of 1.8B
In 2020 there are ~14.7M Jews in a world of 7.8B

For some Jews, it assems that 6.5M Jews in Israel are 6.5M Jews too many.
I have yet to hear one rational explanation as why any Jew wd feel this is an acceptable position. /13

Hi @officestudents @EHRC @EHRCChair @KishwerFalkner @RJHilsenrath @trussliz @GEOgovuk

The Equality and Diversity section of your job application has 'gender' in what appears to be a list of the protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010.

However...

1/15

However, 'gender' is not a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010 and is not defined in the Act.

Sex is the protected characteristic under the Act, but that is not on your list.

2/15

You then ask for the 'gender' of the applicant with options:

Male
Female.

Again, 'gender' is not a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010 and is not defined in the Act.

Sex is the protected characteristic and the only two possible options for sex are 'Female' and 'Male' as defined in the Act and consistent with biology, but you don't ask for that.

'Gender' is not a synonym for sex.

A brief analysis and comparison of the CSS for Twitter's PWA vs Twitter's legacy desktop website. The difference is dramatic and I'll touch on some reasons why.

Legacy site *downloads* ~630 KB CSS per theme and writing direction.

6,769 rules
9,252 selectors
16.7k declarations
3,370 unique declarations
44 media queries
36 unique colors
50 unique background colors
46 unique font sizes
39 unique z-indices

https://t.co/qyl4Bt1i5x

PWA *incrementally generates* ~30 KB CSS that handles all themes and writing directions.

735 rules
740 selectors
757 declarations
730 unique declarations
0 media queries
11 unique colors
32 unique background colors
15 unique font sizes
7 unique z-indices

The legacy site's CSS is what happens when hundreds of people directly write CSS over many years. Specificity wars, redundancy, a house of cards that can't be fixed. The result is extremely inefficient and error-prone styling that punishes users and developers.

The PWA's CSS is generated on-demand by a JS framework that manages styles and outputs "atomic CSS". The framework can enforce strict constraints and perform optimisations, which is why the CSS is so much smaller and safer. Style conflicts and unbounded CSS growth are avoided.
