मृत्यु जीवन का अंतिम सत्य है जिसे कोई टाल नहीं सकता। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने गीता में कहा है कि जिसने जन्म लिया है उसकी मृत्यु निश्चित है और जिसकी मृत्यु हो गई है उसका जन्म भी निश्चित है।

इस कथन से ज्ञात होता है कि जीवन और मृत्यु एक चक्र है जिससे होकर सभी देहधारियों को गुजरना होता है। मृत्यु से जीवन का नया आरंभ होता है इसलिए जीवात्मा का सफर सुखद हो और उसे अगले जन्म में उत्तम शरीर मिले इस कामना से अंतिम संस्कार नियम का पालन जरूरी बताया गया है।

हिन्दू धर्म में गर्भधारण से लेकर मृत्यु के बाद तक कुल सोलह संस्कार बताए गए हैं। सोलहवें संस्कार को अंतिम संस्कार और दाह संस्कार के नाम से जाना जाता है।

इसमें मृत व्यक्ति के शरीर को स्नान कराकर शुद्ध किया जाता है। इसके बाद वैदिक मंत्रों से साथ शव की पूजा की जाती है

फिर बाद में मृतक व्यक्ति का ज्येष्ठ पुत्र अथवा कोई निकट संबंधी मुखाग्नि देता है।

शास्त्रों के अनुसार परिवार के सदस्यों के हाथों से मुखाग्नि मिलने से मृत व्यक्ति की आत्मा का मोह अपने परिवार के सदस्यों से खत्म होता है। और वह कर्म के अनुसार बंधन से मुक्त होकर

अगले शरीर को पाने के लिए बढ़ जाता है

दाह संस्कार इसलिए जरूरी होता है शास्त्रों में बताया गया है शरीर की रचना पंच तत्व से होती है ये पंच तत्व हैं पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु और आकाश।

शव का दाह करने से शरीर जल कर पुन: पंचतत्व में विलीन हो जाता है।

भारतीय ज्योतिष शास्त्र में ग्रहों को अपने अनुकूल बनाने के लिए ‘वनस्पति’ की विशेष भूमिका रही है। उसके अनुसार पेड़-पौधों लगाने और इनके हवन-पूजन से ग्रहों संबंधी कई समस्याएं दूर होती हैं।

ज्योतिष शास्त्र में ग्रहों की संख्या 9 बतायी गई है

सूय्र्यचन्द्रो मंगलश्च बुधश्चापि बृहस्पति:।
शुक्र: शनेश्चरो राहु: केतुश्चेति नव ग्रहा:।।

ऐसी मान्यता है कि इन ग्रहों की विभिन्न नक्षत्रों में स्थिति के अनुसार प्रत्येक मनुष्य पर इनके अलग-अलग प्रभाव पड़ते हैं,

ये प्रभाव अनुकूल और प्रतिकूल दोनों होते हैं। ग्रहों के प्रतिकूल प्रभावों को शांत करने के लिए शास्त्रों में अनेक उपाय बताये गये हैं जिनमें एक उपाय ‘यज्ञ’ भी है।

यज्ञ द्वारा हर ग्रह शांति के लिए अलग अलग विशिष्ट वनस्पति की समिधा (हवन प्रकाष्ठ) प्रयोग की जाती है,

जैसा श्लोक में वर्णित है

“अर्क: पलाश: खदिरश्चापामार्गोऽथ पिप्पल:
औडम्बर: शमी दूव्र्वा कुशश्च समिध: क्रमात्”(गरुण पुराण)

अर्थात्

1-‘सूर्य ग्रह’ की शान्ति हेतू ‘अर्क (मदार)’ की समिधा का प्रयोग होता है मदार की लकड़ी में उसके पत्तों व गाय का घी मिलाकर हवन करने से रोग नाश होते हैं

2- चंद्र के लिए

पलाश के पेड़ में ब्रह्मा, विष्णु व महेश का निवास माना जाता है। पलाश के सूखे हुए फूल देवी देवताओं को कार्तिक माह में चढ़ाने से ग्रह बाधा दूर हो जाती है।

इसके वृक्ष को घर से दक्षिण-पूर्व (southeast) दिशा में लगाना चाहिए

27 नक्षत्रों के 27 वृक्ष (नक्षत्र राशि तथा ग्रह के लिए निर्धारित पेड़ पौधे)

जिस प्रकार प्रत्येक ग्रह और राशियों के अपने-अपने वृक्ष होते हैं ठीक बैसे ही प्रत्येक नक्षत्र के भी अपने वृक्ष होते हैं। अपने वृक्ष होने का अर्थ है जो उस ग्रह या नक्षत्रों के प्रतिनिधि हों।

या ऐसे वृक्ष जिन पर उक्त ग्रहों का प्रभाव रहता है इसलिए वैदिक साहित्य में “वृक्ष पूजन” का स्पष्ट निर्देश दिया गया है

जब भी कोई व्यक्ति बहुत परेशानियों में घिर जाता है (चाहे उस परेशानी का कारण कुछ भी हो) तब ज्योतिषी, जन्मकुंडली के आधार पर सबसे पहले यह जानने का प्रयास करते हैं कि

किस ग्रह नक्षत्र, राशि वा राशि स्वामी के कारण वह जातक परेशान है।

पुनः उस ग्रह अथवा राशि के कारकत्व को आधार बनाकर जातक के परेशानी को दूर करता है। उन कारकतत्व में पेड़-पौधे भी आते है। जन्म कुंडली में बुरे ग्रहो के प्रभाव को कम करने के लिए तथा शुभ ग्रहो के शुभत्त्व को बढ़ाने के लिए

निर्धारित पेड़-पौधों की सेवा तथा उसके जड़ को धारण करने का विधान है।

ऊपर दिए गए चित्र में चारों तरफ 3 घेरे बने हुए हैं जो सबसे ‘पहला घेरा’ है उसमें ‘27 नक्षत्रों’ के नाम हैं और उनकी पोधो के नाम साथ में लिखे हुए हैं

‘दूसरे घेरे’ में ‘12 राशियों’ के नाम उनके पौधों के साथ लिखे हुए

और ‘तीसरे घेरे’ में ‘नौ ग्रहों’ के नाम लिखे हुए हैं और उनसे संबंधित पेड़ पौधों के नाम भी लिखे हुए हैं।

ग्रह,राशि,नक्षत्र के आसार पेड़-पौधे प्रयोग करने से अंतश्चेतना में सकारात्मक सोच का संचार होता है और वे परिस्थितियों को अनुकूल करने में सहायक सिद्ध होते हैं

Tarabai, the Maratha queen (1675-1761), is perhaps one of the most important contributors to the breakup of the M0ghul empire. She prevented the Maratha rule from disintegrating when it was at its lowest with almost all forts in M0ghul hands.(1)

Aurangzeb’s dream of a pan India dominion was destroyed in the hills and forts of western Deccan.(2)

First she survived the M0ghul onslaught, later on carrying the battle into M0ghul territory, raiding and then creating permanent outposts. Had she buckled there may not have been Maratha hegemony in the 18th century, which reduced the M0ghul control to a small area.(3)

She was the daughter of Hambir Rao Mohite, Shivaji’s cmdr in chief, and got married to Shivaji’s younger son Rajaram. She was well trained in sword fighting, archery, cavalry, military strategy, diplomacy and other subjects of statecraft.(4)

Shahjahanpur was a hub of revolution during the freedom struggle. Most of the revolutioaries in the North, were from this town. And among them, the most famous were two friends, whom destiny would bring together- Ram Prasad Bismil and Ashfaqullah Khan.

Ashfaqullah Khan was born at the turn of the 20th century on October 22, while Bismil was born 3 years earlier on June 11, in the same town. Both of them were excellent writers in Urdu and Hindi.

Both of them would come together under the Hindustan Republican Association, not to mention the fact that Ashfaq was an admirer of Bismil’s poetry, and became close friends with him on that account.

And both these men were hanged on the same date, December 19, 1927 for their involvement in the Kakori event. Two men from different religions, different backgrounds, yet destiny would bring them together.

Pyramids were built for religious purposes. The Egyptians were one of the first civilizations to believe in an afterlife. Most were built as tombs for the pharaohs and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods.

Most accepted construction hypotheses are based on the idea that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry and dragging and lifting them into place. There are three known chambers inside the Great Pyramid.

All the pyramids were built by Egyptian workers and Imhotep was the architect of the first pyramid and the Saqqara step pyramid. He also built the pyramid of Djoser’s successor, Sekhemkhet. He was later deified as the god of medicine throughout Egypt in the Late Period.

It is not known who designed the Great Pyramid, but the man responsible for supervising its complex construction was Hemiunu, Khufu’s nephew, a senior civil servant who acted as the pharaoh’s vizier.

Despite the mystery surrounding Giza, Hemiunu himself was a flesh-and-blood man, as shown by his decidedly lifelike—and fleshy—statue, found in his tomb in Giza’s west cemetery.
