Wow, so here we are, 36 hours after the destruction wrought…

As you might imagine, these people weren’t the brightest bulbs in the box or one of them would have built an electric car that you actually wanted to drive. Or just simply proclaimed that the earth was not flat and revolved around the sun. 3/

Any student of history will tell you that it repeats itself. We call what happened in DC “domestic terrorism”, but when I was a kid, this would have been called “felony vandalism”.

If you’re like me, you’re pretty pissed off at having wasted 12 years with modern-day Vandals destroying the change we could believe in and almost destroying the entire American experiment. If it weren’t for COVID, most still wouldn’t notice. But here we are. 5/

If you are superstitious at all, you might think everything happens for a reason. Let’s go with that for a bit. Why would this be happening? If gods exist, why would they be doing this to us? 6/

If you have read even this far, don’t underestimate your possession of an intelligence that Vandals do not have. It’s not because what I am writing is interesting, rather it’s your curiosity of my promise to have something and some small amount of trust got you here. 7/

Not everyone has these aspects. And when they don’t, they tend to resort to violence when they don’t get what they want. It’s not a genetic flaw, infants do this too.

We’ve all done it. What did our parents do for us when we did? 8/

Empathy and compassion are the root of what we must find after we wash away our indignation at these stupid Vandals. The 1% brainwashed them into believing their pride was inexorably linked to eschewing socialism, but now they are hurting and can’t figure out why. 9/

Have you ever been tricked in a manner that cost tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars? Tricked in a way that your life outcome measurably changed as a result. Can you say you love that group or person today, even though they did that? Can you even imagine it? 10/

Like the small child who is simply hungry for the umami of chicken tenders but does not have the language to express the nuance and starts screaming, MAGA are hurting. They are destroying the temple because they see the temple as destroying them. HOW COULD THEY TRUST US? 12/

Worse, they have been elaborately programmed by Faux Nooze to believe that their dignity depends on not accepting social welfare. Talk about a coup! The 1% have convinced the Vandals that they do not need food or shelter and took their homes and lives! 13/

To put a finer point on this, it’s like if healthcare was a right, but instead of caring for people, hospitals convinced the sick that it was all in their heads.

In a sense, we are all guilty of this. I’m an atheist, but I know we *are* our brother’s keeper. Some things are obvious. The party is quickly ending, and we are repeating the end times of Rome. We are repeating the same mistakes and we will find the same outcome. 15/

So we have to ask ourselves the “cost of getting our pound of flesh”. Is the solution to incarcerate the Vandals, teaching them all the skills they’ll get in in prison? Or is it to more gently re-educate them in colleges and let them spread the gospel? 16/

So yes, I am talking about mandatory college classes for these folks as a path toward resolution. This is tone deaf to those struggling with enormous student debt, and we need to cancel those debts as a part of this process, a much larger thread on macroeconomic theory. 17/

You’re a MAGA, in court for DC and have three sentencing choices: Two years in federal pen, one year in a reeducation camp, or probation requiring you to complete whatever your next degree is at a free college. Is this a trick question? 😂😂 18/

Of course most people are going to take the free classes, which happen to have civics classes and opportunities for internships and a real career. It’s not going to be easy, but it coincidentally solves the “socialism” problem as well. 19/

Also worth noting, the last option is probation – you are REQUIRED to complete it or violate probation. The civics classes are subjective in nature and require people to understand what this country was built on. Everyone wins. 20/

So are we willing to try this path? Or should we keep encouraging MAGA parents to train their children (they like to fvck a lot and produce more MAGAs) to become better Vandals? If we take the hands off approach, we already know what we are going to get. More Vandals! 21/

Coincidentally, this is what Europe already does. We might do it “better”, whatever. They fact is until we do it, we are going to keep banging our heads against the wall with these people. Wasting 12 years at a time to come to THIS. Is it worth it? 22/22
