In July 2017, I thought I had it all figured out.
I was going to build a successful business and retire to Cape Coast, Ghana.
I believed I had everything covered.
How to Use Phone Calls to Increase Sales in your ecom bizness

In 2019, I took my skin care company from making N100k/month to making N750k per month
I made one simple change.
I used WhatsApp to confirm and close every order I received
I\u2019ll do a thread on it at 8:00PM tonight!
I built a website to showcase my products and process the orders received.
I played around with Instagram and Facebook ads to get more people to view my products and possibly make orders.
And yes, I was also running my content structure on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
After about 3 months of hitting a brick wall and a little over 4 fulfilled orders, I decided to take a second look at my marketing playbook. I included a few marketing strategies that brought my sales to an average of N100,000 per month in revenue but I was making zero profit.
In 2018, I came in contact with an e-commerce thread by @ronaldnzimora, worked on my sales process and watched as orders rolled in. My profit improved but I was getting a lot of cancelled orders.
This is when I learnt my first lesson;
1. An order does not mean the sale is been closed.
2. An order simply indicates interest.
From my years of sales and marketing, I know a great way to separate serious orders from the unserious ones is to ask question, make observation and re-present your offer.
Not so much!
Not since Calgary police began enforcing the public health edict for masks and for gatherings.
Been waiting for this.. \U0001f644

CPS took action against anti-maskers today, and this is what it turned into.
I got some things to say...

Pair this violent Calgary protest with this opinion piece.
Is it any wonder that ālibertyā ideologues are rebelling against Public Health Measures after the premier gave them every indication their freedom was superior to everyone elseās right to
We have evidence that Kenney is instigating STOCHASTIC TERRORISM.
This is what Trump is currently using to effect a coup in the US.
Maybe a journalist can ask Kenney why he stoked the ire of far right immediately prior to ordering a lockdown?

As Albertans, we are unfamiliar with the tactics used by fascists. Albertans are naive to subterfuge and sedition.
Stochastic terrorism is common in eastern European nations. Russia & Al Qaida use these tactics all the time, but with much more regularity, brutality & deaths.
Hereās an article from 2011. Spelling out the process of creating a āmissileā or ālone wolfā by appealing to those individuals who are mentally unstable. Experts have known how stochastic terrorism works for well over a decade.

As @JonathanMalloy and I argue in this @ConversationCA article, Ph.D. students can't wait for programs and universities to meet their professional development needs. While some offer great options, availability is uneven.

In #WorkYourCareer, we provide students with clear guidance on how to prepare for both academic & non-academic careers at every stage of their program. We outline our approach in the first chapter (available free online).

In Chapter 2 of #WorkYourCareer, we walk you through questions to consider when applying to PhD programs - including whether to apply and if so, to which ones (free excerpt linked below).

Chapter 2 of #WorkYourCareer also includes our somewhat-controversial 'should I do a PhD?' flowchart. A PhD can be a great choice for many people - but it is a big life decision.

Thinking of applying for a PhD? @JonathanMalloy and I created a flowchart to help you think through the decision (from our @utpress book, Work Your Career, which devotes a chapter to how to apply for PhD programs).@AcademicChatter #AcademicTwitter #gradschool https://t.co/nvTpqLjq0v
