In 2012, my first options trade lost $9,000.

12 months later I was making $1,100 per week trading in my free time.

What changed?

I read 20 books on options and finished a master’s degree.

But what took my game to the next level was Python.

Here’s the code I still use today:

Trade options with a simple, 3-part framework:

Let's dig in:

To design our risk profile, we need the option payoff.

Let's start by defining the variables we need:

• Stock price
• Strike price
• Time to expiration
• Interest rate
• Volatility

We also define market prices for demonstrating trades.

Remember our payoff functions for calls and puts?

• call = max(S - K, 0)
• put = max(K - S, 0)

We can define them in Python in one line of code each.

And here's where it gets really interesting.

The research and related archaeological findings done on the ruins of this magnificent temple dedicated to ‘Surya’, suggest that this temple was a pinnacle of

In addition, there is another legend that states that Hastinapur's ancestors destroyed the entire clan of Gandhara. This is one of the reasons Shakuni vowed to end the Kuru line entirely.

So, you see Shakuni poisoning Duryodhana against the Pandavas to start a war and end the Kuru line by killing each other.

Shakuni's family was never given much attention because he is mostly seen in Hastinapur. However, it is true that he had two sons, Uluka and Vrikaasur.

Ulo-ok or Uluka wanted to return his father to Gandhara before the Pandavas came from Agyatvas, but Shakuni- did not go back because he wanted to sit and start the Kurukshetra war.

But it has a handicap: It shows volumes transacted from a time POV but not the price POV.

It simply shows volume from a timeframe basis. 5 mins volumes on 5 mins TF and so on.

But, is there a different way to read volumes from a price basis? Like, where did largest buying or selling by big players come in?

This is where volume profile comes in. To put it in the simplest way, volume profile shows volume from a price perspective thus enabling a trader to identify where largest trading has occurred.

But how does this help a trader?

Of course, it is volume that drives the price.

This is a clarion call to help curb or infact eradicate the sale of strong alcoholic drinks at the Asero Stadium / Trailer park

It's been over a year some of us last

went to that Asero Stadium for some Prayer Walk. We stopped because of the recklessness of the trailer drivers within the stadium. This is further exercebated by the daily consumption of Alcoholic drinks as early as 7am at different shops within the premises.

Was there again this morning for a personal Prayer Walk, hoping things would have been better after a year's absence, alas, there are even more shops selling sachet alcoholic drinks. I had to discretely take a shot of one of the shops.

I once had a drunk trailer driver

blabbing under the influence of these strong drinks, that when he is high on "DOUBLE SIM", (Indian hemp soaked in ogogoro overnight ), human being look like cockroaches, hence they don't feel anything crushing them.

It has become a menace. I do not know if there is a law

banning the sale of strong drinks at garages, if there is none, I would like to crave your Indulgence in making it happen sir.

Most people think if a stock has run up too much, then it's price is high and it will reverse.

But a trader should always be on the right side of a trend.

For eg: Asianpaints has been making new highs constantly, the major money would've been by the people who were on the right side of the trend i.e long.

Never buy it just because it has fallen too much. Instead short it and make money.

2: “Being a little late in a trade is insurance that your opinion is correct.”

It's okay to enter in a trade after you have received confirmation from the market.

Trading after confirmation will make your sacrifice your profits but it will also protect you against the loss

🌺Rajaraja Chola:The Mighty Chola King.🌺

Rajaraja Chola I was the one of the greatest ruler of the Imperial Chola dynasty who ruled in the period between 985 CE to 1014 CE. His real name was Arulmozhi Varman.

Through his extensive military campaigns, Rajaraja Chola transformed the Chola kingdom into a mighty empire that covered almost entire South India, parts of northern India, Northern parts of Srilanka, the islands of Maldives, and South East Asia.

Rajaraja was a great military general. He established a large standing army and a powerful navy. With the help of this army he waged unending campaigns against his neighbours - the Cheras and Pandyas and crushed their power.

To commemorate these victories, Rajaraja assumed the title of "Mummudi Chola" i.e the one who wears three crowns of Cholas, Pandyas and Cheras.

His most important military campaign was his invasion of modern day Srilanka.

Chola navy & army under his command crossed the ocean &destroyed ancient Singhla capital of Anuradhapura. Destruction of Anuradhapur was so great that it was turned into ruins& abandoned. City of Polanaruwa was made new capital & Shiva temple was built to commemorate the victory.

But, most people never use it in the right way – because no one ever taught them how.

Here are 10 psychological triggers to knowing Volume in a better way :

Traditional idea of Volume:

- if the price increases with an increase in volume, it is BULLISH
- If the price is increasing without volume, it is BEARISH
- if the price is falling with an increase in volume, it is BEARISH
- if the price is falling without volume, it is BULLISH

But this doesn't hold good every time!

Let's look at some examples.

Ex #1: Tata Consumer (Daily Chart)

Here the price has gone upside from 640 to 780 without any increase in the volume!

Ex #2: Axis Bank (Daily Charts)

Here the price has gone up from 420 to 580 without much increase in the volume.

1/ Longer-term short straddle:

• Helps in getting a big range: trade in biweekly, monthly, or far months.

• The only drawback with longer term straddles is the slippage.

• Also go for round levels both in NF and BNF as they have better liquidity.

2/ Weekly expiries will have short range:

• Leading to higher risk.

• Would require frequent adjustments.

3/ When to sit tight?

• As long as the underlying is between the breakeven point of the Short straddle, we do nothing.

• Don't adjust till breakeven comes, simply sit tight.

• Adjusting a short straddle typically brings in more credit, which increases the profit potential.

4/ When does a short straddle come into loss:

• The moment the underlying price moves towards one end of the breakeven point, your short straddle will be in loss.

• Adjustments would require additional funds, so don't go all in with your capital for shorting straddles.

1. Recursive deletion 🔁🗑️

This is one of the scariest commands. When you run this command, it deletes everything in the root directory forcibly and recursively. As a result, all of your directories and subdirectories will be deleted, and all of your data will be lost.

This command will move all data to a special location in Linux known as the black hole, which is located in your system at /dev/null.

Everything that is moved to this location is destroyed.
