For those "worshiping" Trump, AND for those who want to jump on the "TRUMP INCITED THE SEDITIONS!!" bandwagon:

It's not about Trump. It never was. It is, always has been, and always WILL be about policy.

The most genius trick democrats have pulled is making you think they hate Trump. That they think his presence or absence in the Oval Office is what they're concerned with.
Every policy that the conservatives I follow say they want, Trump advanced. Mostly. But we've seen the hardest push for conservative policy since Regan, and the economy showed it.
To say that, because some dumbasses latched on to the "Trump train" whose values weren't in line with ours, that we should stop pushing for our values is simply brainless.
"We have to examine why racists loved Trump so much!!"

It kills me to see smart conservatives parrot this bullshit leftist talking point.
If I'm pushing a pro-life agenda, and someone who is a lunatic happens to agree with me on that ONE thing, do I now abandon my opposition to abortion?

NO, dumbasses... But that's what the left has been pushing.
If I'm pro 2A, do I abandon that fight because the redneck down the street gets drunk, and starts shooting at empty whiskey bottles with his scattergun?

NO, dumbasses.
Trump has one of the shittiest personalities I've ever seen in a politician.

But he governed in a way that was generally exactly what I voted for.
This push to turn Trump into "He who shall not be named" is not about Trump at all. It's about taking the one guy who actually spurred republicans to fight back, and having him drawn and quartered in the public square.
And the reason for that is, or SHOULD be, obvious. He is to serve as an example to YOU.

YOU'd better not do what he did. And we're not talking about the personality flaws he brought with him.
We're talking about the policy YOU voted for, which he pushed as hard as he could. We're talking about the refusal to tuck your head between your legs every time some democrat says "rayciiiissss!!!"

You KNOW this.
And yet, some of you are STILL willing to participate in the political lynching of the one guy, flaws and all, who refused to cower.
If we're REALLY going to reexamine what the republican part is, and SHOULD be going forward, it should be in THIS way:
Don't look at what democrats TELL you they hate. Look at what you know they REALLY hate. For the next push, we're going to need the spine that Trump brought to the republican party.
Instead of throwing away EVERYTHING Trump did RIGHT in order to appease those who hate YOU every bit as much as you think they hate HIM, be more careful.
Look at the good things he did, and look objectively. Find that steel spine, and leave the character defects behind. Don't throw the baby of solid conservative judges out with the bathwater of Trump's ego and stupid tweets.
The most important lesson that you will learn, if you're paying attention, is that no matter how soft spoken, humble, and well articulated our next candidate is, the left will demonize that one as well. And maybe even worse than they did with Trump.
Most of all, remember:

No politician is going to save us.

WE must do that for ourselves.

More from Trump

This is mostly right but strikes me as it needing said that I don't think the left or the intelligentsia have the slightest idea how low institutional trust in anything coming from a left mouthpiece is now. Except in-network, the best heuristic is "the opposite of what they said"

If you look at the situation from a predictive models perspective instead of the more rigorous and appropriate (under normal circumstances) "prove your case or gtfo" perspective, trusting the opposite of whatever the left side says has an AMAZING track record, as we know it.

Literally, the best heuristic most people have right now, in terms of how often it gets things right versus *completely* wrong, is "whatever CNN, the NYT, public health officials, and the Democrats said... yeah, the opposite." That is, they're wrong WAY outside of statistics.

They're also not just wrong. They're *completely* wrong, backwards, often transparently covering something up that they don't want known or refuse to believe. This isn't just a legitimation crisis because there's a heuristic: whatever the official left narrative is, is wrong.

There are a few reasons why such a heuristic would be more predictive than not. One of those is conspiracy, and another is mass hysteria with ideological capture. We know at least one of those is happening and have rather strong evidence both are. That makes conspiracy reasonable
