12 WEALTH GENERATING LESSONS FROM THE JEWISH COMMUNITY
I have been privileged to work closely with amazing people from different cultural backgrounds. Let's discuss what we can learn from the Jewish community. This is not about a racial divide but for learning purposes. S/o Alux

 1.JUDAISM & WEALTH: They believe every person must work hard to avoid poverty, they also believe in the principle of giving. They don’t believe in relying on charity to lift themselves up Or to become a burden to your community. Most grow up believing success as the only option.
2.SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY: They believe in sharing their wealth to benefit their community. Judaic law instructs "the poor must be respected &protected." Perhaps it also comes from a long history of being marginalized, But the Jews have pride in supporting each other's businesses.
3. THE VALUE OF MONEY: in many of our households discussing finances is still taboo. Many Jewish parents use the 5 jars techniq to teach their children; separating Tithe/Giving/Savings/Investing &Spending. As kids, they learn consequences early that most of us are learning now
4. DIVERSIFICATION: they manage wealth with spiritual motivation & diversification. Their investments are widespread, not allocated as a single asset or exposed to a single risk, the way most of us just have a single job. "Don’t put all your eggs in one basket “ principle
5. STUDYING PATTERNS: History repeats itself, the Jews are well aware & take advantage of this. All these circumstances now are not new, Jews study &understand that market patterns repeat themselves so that they can take action. They look at the past to plan the future
6. INTERESTS: In the middle ages, Christian laws prevented lending for profit, but the Jews became prominent in money lending bcoz they shared a different view. Lending to Christians, Emperors. Rescuing national banks. Brokering for kings. AND you know the POWER of DEBT.
7. BUILDING THEIR OWN BANKS: As Merchants who initially weren't permitted to get into real-estate in Europe, they pushed their money lending far as establishing banks all over. Imagine, the likes of Rothschild's acted as a central bank for Europe. This led to serious hatred. 😔
8. NETWORKING: It's an ancient Jewish practice used to build their businesses, build and spread ideas, Some built their networks by lending at low rates to politically important lords and princes. Many used their connections to create family fortunes. They are stronger together
9. MOST EDUCATED GROUP: More credentials lead to a higher financial starting salary. They also believe in training children with skills while young. They train kids to be more specialized. Jews are a relatively small population but in skilled &economically profitable occupations.
10. RELIGOUS TEACHINGS ON BUSINESS PRACTICES: The Torah & many of their teachings are against dishonest practices. E.g. Deception/ Price fixing/ Cheating a customer are considered as "Ona'ah" (Oppression of their freedom). So to many the Jews are attractive business partners
11. RESILIENCE WITH PURPOSE: Despite the extreme forces against them, the Jews are known for perseverance. Amazing how they keep rising. They still choose purpose in spite of difficulties or obstacles they have been through. This is spirit groomed from home, whilst still young.
12. FINANCIAL EDUCATION taught over generations: most of our successful people die together with their riches (wisdom) leaving the families to fight for what's left or having to start from scratch. The Jews are good at passing on successful principles to the next generations.

I think the UK trans debate has teased out the sticking points for feminists, and it might be useful to lay them out given that the battle in the US, with a very different legislative environment, is just starting.

The GRA of 2004 gave trans people the ability to change legal sex via a GRC, but only if they had a psychiatric diagnosis of dysphoria and only after having lived in role for 2 years. The spousal veto gave spouses a chance to annul or obtain a favourable divorce.

While this ultimately created the loophole in women's rights that we've been fighting against in the last few years, it catered for a tiny number of dysphoric transsexuals and so did not have an enormous impact.

Discussions with trans friends and allies make it clear that, although surgery wasn't a requirement for a GRC, the diagnostic procedures were expected to trap and exclude males who did not want surgery, thereby preventing fetishists and opportunists from exploiting a GRC.

The Equality Act of 2010 defined the various protected characteristics, including both sex and 'gender reassignment', and provided for sex-based exemptions, under the auspices of which it is legal to exclude trans people from some single-sex spaces and services.

2/ Before this very publication, virologists were neither treated like superstars, nor were they considered icons or half-gods. In 2009, Drosten almost succeeded in installing the false premise virology could supersede holistic medical sciences as discussed in this thread.

3/ Drosten is a virologist. He neither has any background in epidemiology, nor has he ever worked in the civil service. He also doesn’t have a background in public health. Yet he and his colleagues affect our daily lives to the level of whom to meet up or how to flush the toilet.


4/ Before January 2020, Drosten and Corman were common virologists at Charité Berlin, whenever they were not involved in economic implications (https://t.co/UTDwG8U7Du). Other than that, they looked at coronaviruses in dromedary calves in the Middle East or Africa. 😍 #cute


5/ Finally in Jan 2020, the published paper laid the theoretical grounds for the current pandemic, the RT-qPCR mass testing-religion, for which he was awarded his second German Federal Cross of Merit (he received the first one in 2005 for developing the SARS-CoV PCR test).

When I was 25, I worked as a legislative assistant in the Missouri General Assembly.

It was a dream job, honestly.

But that dream dissipated the day the #MoLeg decided to name Rush Limbaugh as an “honorable Missourian” and place his bust in the “Hall of Famous Missourians.”

The Hall of Famous Missourians sits in the Missouri State Capitol.

There are busts of Mark Twain, Dred Scott, Josephine Baker, Harry Truman and other legends of history.

The day I learned Rush Limbaugh would join their ranks, I thought it was a joke.

2/

We received phone calls from constituents appalled that Missouri would honor a man who had become infamous that year for calling a college student a “slut.”

And who just that week had continued spreading the racist birtherism lie about our then-President, Barack Obama.

3/

What I learned that day is that it wasn’t *despite* his racism, but because of it that he received this award.

It’s because he created a universe where it was permissible to lynch with language America’s first black President.

4/

Several State Representatives and their staffers intended to protest the vote and the selection.

By the time we made it to the doors of the House Floor, we weren’t allowed in. It was Republicans only. The doors were locked and secured by the Highway Patrol.

The PageRank algorithm gives each page a rating of its
importance, which is a recursively defined measure of importance, based on if important pages link to it.
It's recursive because the importance of a page refers back to the importance of other pages that link to it

Here's how it works in practice:
1⃣ We start with some pages and crawl them for links


2⃣ Each page has 1/N points (where N as the total number of pages)


3⃣ Add points to each page for the amount of links to it, divided by the number
of links emanating from the sources of these links

KANTESHA means Prabhu full of brightness.
Here, Sri Hanuman appears with a front face and sparkling eyes. Earlier, the village was also called KANTESHPURI on the name of Kantesha Hanuman.


Several thousands of years ago, Hanuman lived in this village. He once saw the Sun and mistaking it to be a fruit, began flying towards it. Since then, this village came to be known as Kadara Man Dalagi. (Kadar means rays, mandala is cluster of rays).


It is believed that King Janmejaya had set up the shrine to get rid of his difficulties.
There is a small pond on the right side of the kshetram where Teppotsava (Float festival) is celebrated.

Kanaka Dasa has praised Sri Kantesha in his various poetic compositions.


Kanaka Dasa was the first devotee to popularize the power of Kantesha. It is said that once Kanaka Dasa was deeply wounded in a battle. To seek blessings, he visited Tirupati but Sri Venkatesha appeared in his dream and advised him to see Kantesha first before seeing him.

1/ I am seeing more and more founder secondary in venture rounds (Secondary = founders selling some of their shares before some other shareholders are able). Series B-D. I see both as an investor and through entrepreneur circles.

2/ I like secondary for entrepreneurs. Moderation is key but in a lot of situations I think it helps accelerate the co. Lots of very smart investors disagree. Here are my thoughts.

3/ Magnitude: My basic rule of thumb from what I see is market is 4+ yrs and up to 10% of founder’s equity stake with some $ cap that makes sense given stage etc. (typically <$10m)

4/ The entrepreneurial journey is brutally hard. Giving some financial relief helps remove one piece of pressure. I don’t think that secondary in the magnitude mentioned impacts the drive/persistence of great entrepreneurs.

5/ That secondary means they will be able to just sleep knowing they can pay their kids’ tuition. Secondary will make most founders better at their jobs, thus accelerating the co.
