Rarely does a pressure group go into a closed door meeting with the govt and come out the same. History is replete with examples; the trust deficit is justified.
The wiles of the oppressor haven't changed either.

*Brute force - already in display.
*Divide & rule - currently in play.
Money doesn't seem to be working, the PDP/APC card is dead and the last few days have shown that the religious and ethnic division is mostly inherited and sustained only by the ignorant
... and those benefitting from the resulting disunity.
Time to pit them one against the other.
The one who plants, is not necessarily the one to harvest. And e fit be say who harvest; no no go chop. Everyone has a role to play.
If the fight is truly for and about "country" it will not be sacrificed at the altar of ego. If you find yourself saying "I" too many times; re-examine your motives.
My age grade with the knowledge and experience; how far? With all the wisdom, nibo la ba de?
Barely 3 weeks ago we were all groaning under the weight of multiple increased taxation. Not a month goes by that we don't clutch our chests because another young Nigerian has been murdered in cold blood or another village massacred & razed by bandits.
In the middle of the struggle the madness is still ongoing. Ore, if the old methods were working we would not be here.
That said, we must not forget past Ebenezers. People out here in the open and some who work in the shadows...
..who have been help in times of need; alienate no one.
"This is a David movement; let Saul step aside".
It is not your vision, how do you determine how it should go?
They are not smart & experienced yet they've created & sustained a sophiaticated system...
... that has kept establishment running in circles... for days.
In that same pool of human resources, there exists socio-political/economic strategists, critical thinkers, project managers and people gifted in the art of negotiation.
You think these are uneducated urchins, lol. Amongst them are young professionals who tie up (legal) multi million dollar deals across several continents, best believe they can handle it, govt is not that sophisticated.
Let them figure it out.
Asking "what do the youth want gan"? is disingenuous. Let's not get caught up in nomenclature and semantics. They want a country that is functional, they want it all, and so do I.
.
In the last week, the youth have shown an amazing capacity morphing into whatever is needed as it arises; I have no doubt in their ability to continue to do so; showing what can be achieved.
They have chosen their battle; support or get out of the way.

Patriotism is an interesting concept in that it’s excepted to mean something positive to all of us and certainly seen as a morally marketable trait that can fit into any definition you want for it.+

Tolstoy, found it both stupid and immoral. It is stupid because every patriot holds his own country to be the best, which obviously negates all other countries.+

It is immoral because it enjoins us to promote our country’s interests at the expense of all other countries, employing any means, including war. It is thus at odds with the most basic rule of morality, which tells us not to do to others what we would not want them to do to us+

My sincere belief is that patriotism of a personal nature, which does not impede on personal and physical liberties of any other, is not only welcome but perhaps somewhat needed.

But isn’t adherence to a more humane code of life much better than nationalistic patriotism?+

Göring said, “people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”+
