THE TRUE HELPER

It's a horrible thing to remain defenseless in this wicked world, and that's why we all need Jesus.

There are places your millions will not be able to defend or help you.

Places where the high and mighty you know are not only helpless,

but, unable to defend you.

There are times the best doctors you know are helpless when you are rushed to the hospital.

Places where your security measures even run into hiding and unable to defend you.

The name of Jesus, that name alone is the ultimate defense. The ultimate

name everything and everyone bows down to.

A ready help and helper in time of need.

Others may want to help, but are unavailable or unable.

Others may initially want to help, but, suddenly change their minds in your time of need.

Others may have the capacity to help, but,

choose not to help or offer you help at a cost you are unable to afford.

Jesus is different. He is the real deal.

Always ready
Always available.
Always willing to help.

WHY SHOOT OUR WOUNDED? - Ps. 109:21-31

A Detroit newspaper reportd that a patient in a local hospital was shot and killed as he lay in his bed recovering from a previous gunshot wound. The victim had been listed in fair condition prior to the shooting and was looking forward to

going home. Hospital patients and employees were stunned. A spokesperson said that nothing like this had happened in the 50yrs of the hospital's existence.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could say the same for our churches?

Wouldn't it be encouraging if we were able to say

that in 50yrs of meeting together for worship, fellowship and spiritual healing, we had not had a single instance of a wounded member being cut down by the unkindness of a fellow Christian?

Many among us have experienced the pain that David expressed in Psalm 109.

When he was hurt and vulnerable, insensitive people took advantage of him. Certainly, if he had sinned, he needed their loving correction. what he didn't need was their scorn, gossip, and selfish neglect. Who shoots his foot after stubbing his toe? No one in his right mind,

neither should anyone with the mind of Christ act unmercifully toward a wounded brother or sister in the body of Christ. Rather, we must "show mercy" (v.16).

Give me, Lord, a lot of mercy

I sat my husband down one day and asked him; 'what do you really need from me? How can I keep making you happy and satisfied?' Oga said; 'good food and sex'. From a logical standpoint, you might be easily fooled to think that this is all he needs but the truth is that, this

is actually what he feels he is not getting enough of or these might just be his priorities. I had to sit down and think about it, if I satisfy him with good food and sex, his needs might either change to another area I am not covering or he might just be contented. I have seen

so many gender wars and lots of takes from the female folks but most times, those same people make outrageous demands compared to what they are willing to offer. You want a man to pamper you, buy you gifts, be there for you, never cheat, make you the center of his world, etc, but

you have not even done the barest minimum to ask him what he needs? In this life, everything comes with a price, and ironically, we all get to choose the price we are willing to pay. Are you willing to selflessly fulfill the desires of a man that fulfills yours? Just the way you

want that diamond ring, a trip to Dubai, someone to massage your back and call you sweet names while checking up on you regularly without having eyes for another woman and you imagine it as your ideal relationship, that man is imagining a wife that will give him great sex, listen

When men speak like God

The enemy said,

You see, when some people speak this way, they forget one very vital thing

When you hear such, do not panic...you are the son/daughter of the most High, the apple of His eyes for that matter. The child of

the all powerful God. He is for you, and if He is for you, who then can successful be against you?

In my young life, I have heard stuffs like;

"Over my dead body will you get this or that"
"Over my dead body will this document be signed"
"I will ensure you don't get that

promotion" etc

What did I do? I laughed, went into my closet, dragged the matter to my altar of prayer and consequently reported the issue to my Father

Trust me, He took decisive action, and the rest they say is History.

At such moments, you don't entertain fear or start

Rending d kingdom from an individual cld mean a ship load of things

It cld mean taking away, a source of wealth, influence, affluence,

strength etc

It is never a thing of joy or something to be celebrated.

English dictionary defines
rend (plural rends) As a violent separation of parts

When God did some kingdom rending from kings in the Bible, it was because, they obviously crossed some red lines.

When Adam & Eve crossed the red line, (Garden of Eden) they experienced a rending.

Many kings too suffered the same fate.
King Saul had his kingdom rend from him. His disobedience not only cost him his kingdom, he "lost" his God.

1 Kings 11:11 KJV
Wherefore the Lord said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

You see, there is nothing more

painful than seeing what made you great being taken over or bestowed upon you considered "lowly"... That is a recipe for high blood pressure.

Rending is COSTLY.
Rending is PAINFUL
Rending is SHAMEFUL.

What God has blessed you with to glorify Him and benefit mankind, must never
