Again, I can't overstate the importance of this case. The US is attempting to extra-territorialize its draconian espionage act, trash its own 1st amendment, and bully a journalist who is not American or broken a law in the US, because he exposed their crimes against humanity.
Also worth noting how one-sided and unbalanced the UK/US extradition treaty is, heavily favouring the US. From my interview with Gary McKinnon who the US also tried to extradite relentlessly.

The UK/US Extradition Treaty prohibits extradition for political trials (this being one). That part is mysteriously missing in its UK implementation: the Extradition Act 2003.
§91b, barring extradition on health grounds, IS included. This must be considered given Julian's health.
These are just a few among a plethora of concerns and violations regarding this case. Not to mention the fact that Julian was spied on, his personal affects confiscated... This violates any right to due process be it under US law, British common law.. the list goes on.
Court begins: #Assange is asked to stand and give his full name and date of birth. He is locked inside a glass box, wearing a face mask with a guard sitting behind him.
Judge Baraitser says she will touch on a few of the arguments before giving the verdict.
She is addressing Art. 4 of the Extradition Treaty, regarding political offences.

She's basically referring to my point from just a few minutes ago. She is basically saying "well it doesn't count, it's not in the Extradition Act 2003".

Baraitser is now addressing the conspiracy hacking charges (allegedly helping Manning to crack a password). She finds that Assange's activities went beyond those of just a journalist.
She's bringing up conferences that Assange has attended, and comments he allegedly made, that he encouraged people to join the CIA and leak documents.

(Again, is that a crime? Journalists hound sources to leak them classified docs everyday).
Judge is parroting US indictment saying that Assange and @wikileaks disclosures endangered people (this is completely false, according to DoD themselves).

She asserts that free speech doesn't give anyone the "unfettered discretion" to publish whatever they want.
Audio is atrocious btw. Hard to make out everything judge is saying.
Judge finds "insufficient evidence" that Trump admin singled out Assange for a witch-hunt. She thinks there was a "healthy debate" about the charges. She is essentially saying she does not believe the indictment is political.
Judge is now addressing the UC Global spying on Assange in the Ecuadorian embassy on behalf of US intelligence. She's not taking it into consideration since trial and investigation into UC Global and its founder David Morales still on-going in Spain.
The Judge actually just tried to pass off SPYING on UK soil as legitimate, because the US may have had "legitimate" reasons to spy on Assange for their nat security. Unbelievable. That happened in London! It violates diplomatic accords and Ecuadorian sovereignty.
Technically Ecuadorian soil, since it was inside the Embassy:) But nonetheless, host country has a duty to protect embassies and diplomatic corps.

Judge does not find that the US is trying to punish Assange as hard as possible or any ill-intent on their behalf.

"No foundation by the defence submission, that evidence given by Manning" was due to torture.
She believes that constitutional protections will be afforded to Assange and thinks he will receive a fair trial (therefore no violation of Art. 6 of ECHR: right to a fair trial).

Did she miss the part where US Sec of State Pompeo said "Assange has no first amendment rights"?
Above is from when Pompeo was CIA director, in 2017. He also describes WikiLeaks as a "non-state hostile intelligence service"

Judge Baraitser: 1st amendment protects freedom of speech, similar to article 10. I reject any suggestion that as a foreign national Assange will be denied these protections.

"This court trusts that a US court will properly consider Assange's right to free speech"

Yeah, right.
On health matters, she accepts Dr. Kopelman's assessment that Assange suffers from depression

She accepts that he also suffered from high-functioning autism and ASD

She finds that without support from his friends and his family, he has remained moderately or severely depressed.
She accepts that he has been at risk of suicide since his arrival at HMP Belmarsh.

Judge: "However, the overall impression is of a depressed man .. who is fearful about his future"
She accepts there is a real risk that he will be subjected to Special Administrative Measures (SAM's) given that the US intelligence community views Assange as a threat. She refers my link to Pompeo's comments above:

On the possibility of Assange being held at federal super-max ADX Florence, she accepts that he will likely be held there and under SAMs post trial.

The European Court acknowledges that the purpose of this regime is to prevent all physical contact between inmates and others.
I am satisfied that Assange has the intellect to circumvent suicide preventative measures. She accepts Kopelman's assessment that Assange will find a way to kill himself.
BREAKING: Judge Baraitser has ordered Julian Assange's discharge under Section 91b citing health reasons. The US has 14 days to appeal !!
Defence is asking Judge Baraitser for her to grant Assange bail. She's wondering if they can really manage to submit an application today.
As I said last night and many times before: he most likely won't be let out just yet (probably since he absconded bail previously, his only crime committed in the UK). However this is still good news.

Still waiting for a decision on bail, after court recess. They've let Al Qaeda figures out of Belmarsh so I don't see why a journalist can't be afforded the same luxury.

While Baraitser's decision is good, this extradition should NOT have to hinge on Assange being (understandably) ill and at risk of suicide. He did nothing wrong. He exposed US crimes against humanity. US leadership should be the ones in a glass box on trial.

Defence to judge: there are the strongest grounds to granting bail. But we wish to put all the information before you, dealing with Belmarsh conditions and conditions to reassure you of any concerns (re absconding).

Defence will make the bail application on Wednesday, Jan 6th.
Court is adjourned until Wednesday, Jan 6 to discuss bail. #Assange remains in custody.

Of all the stupidest things I read this week, none was more stupid than the Ekiti State Police Command standing behind their dismissal of a pregnant policewoman because according to Mr. Babatunde Mobayo, the command’s commissioner,

“Section 126 of the regulation (states) that married woman police (sic) who is pregnant may be granted maternity leave, while Section 127 (states that) unmarried woman police (sic) who becomes pregnant shall be discharged from the Force" & needs IGP's approval to be enlisted

So if Sis had been married, she would not have been punished. And if the man who got her pregnant had been a police officer one is to assume he wouldn’t have lost his job. It wouldn’t have mattered then whether he was married or not.

It is frustrating that in this 21st century, our women are still being treated like second class citizens with single women at the bottom of the ladder. In some cities, young women can’t rent because foolish landlords refuse to rent to unmarried women.

Some hotels won’t let them in because no man. What’s next? Single women can’t drive? Shop? Eat? Women need to show proof of marriage to teach? Enter cabs? Travel? The ridiculousness knows no end. Na who do us this thing?

In court on the Aloha Coffee case, in which owner has refused to abide by mask rules, distancing rules. He’s telling the judge his rights are being violated and so is the Constitution.

“I have the right, the constitutional right, and a constitutional right can’t be converted to a crime. I do not consent to these hearings. I’m not going to be steamrolled.” Says he’s going to file a criminal case against the judge and DA.

He’s going to file, he says, with everyone from local DA and sheriff and the US Attorney. Judge Lydia Villarreal is being remarkably patient with him.

The point of today’s hearing is to decide whether a restraining order will become a preliminary injunction. He’s been operating without a health certificate since it was pulled in December.

“There’s no evidence of any wrongdoing on my part,” he says. Did I mention the part about the judge being patient? She’s being waaaay patient with him. He tried to disqualify her but doesn’t have an attorney and doesn’t know how to do it lawfully.

The solution to knife crime is not a quick fix and it isn't something that is going to come cheaply, I have been involved in local task forces discussions with MP's and been on countless marches but the problem is no one listens to the people on the ground;

millions of pounds get wasted producing white papers;
that never get anything done. 

 The current Government rhetoric about being tough on crime ; is all well and good but being tough is not a deterrent,

nowhere in the world is there any evidence that supports the theory that harsher sentences reduce crime,
giving a bigger sentence for using, only deals with problem after the event;
what needs to happen is much early intervention and a deeper look at the
problems in society

It is no secret that crime and poverty are linked if you have more poverty you have more crime, if the environment that people live in is run down and uncared for, then you have more crime

There is also a link between crime, care, and school exclusions.  The current figures show that  you are  12 times more likely to end up in prison if you are excluded;  and in UK prisons it shows that around 63% of prisoners had some form of school exclusion

On this day in history three years ago, ICE detained immigrant rights leader #RaviRagbir, and police arrested community members protesting this injustice. A reminder that when people stand up for immigrant rights, they are not treated with kid gloves. 1/

Ravi Ragbir, Jean Montrevil, and @NewSanctuaryNYC stood up against cruel and inhumane deportation policies. For that, they were surveilled, arrested, detained, and transferred to an immigration prison in FL in January 2018. 2/

Jean, co-founder of @NewSanctuaryNYC and congregant of @judsonchurchnyc was deported to Haiti on Jan.16, 2018, after coming to the U.S. as lawful permanent resident more than 30 years ago. ICE's actions separated him from his four U.S. citizen children. 3/

ICE continues to pursue Ravi's deportation (as recently as this Friday the government filed papers to try to get rid of the federal lawsuit staying Ravi's deportation). Ravi continues to fight for his freedom and stand up for immigrant rights. 4/

Ravi and Jean were not the only ones targeted for speaking out. 18 community members, including NYC elected leaders @JumaaneWilliams and @ydanis, were arrested during the protest against ICE's actions that occurred 3 years ago today. 5/

Here goes with updates from FBI:
•160 cases files have been opened
•100,000 digital media tips have been received
•they FBI admits they had intelligence warning of an attack

•FBI says an arrest the night before the Capitol attack indicates they took action
•@AndyTriay has previously reported: FBI “disrupted” a number of individuals from traveling to DC. Which means they were urged not to come – or somehow stopped.

•FBI says there will be hundreds of criminal cases against suspects at the Capitol and prosecuting them could take months
•the acting D.C. U.S. attorney says most investigations were opened on misdemeanor charges but now the feds will indict those people on federal felonies

BREAKING: The acting U.S. Attorney in Washington D.C. says he’s ordered prosecutors to build cases to charge Americans who stormed the Capitol with sedition & conspiracy, if the evidence warrants charges against them depending on how they were involved.

NOW: Acting U.S. Attorney in D.C. says charges will also be brought against people who attacked members of the media.

Unconventional approach of 60-40 RSI and range shift concept.

According to him,
whenever the market is bearish,
it won’t be able to cross 60,
and whenever in a bullish trend,
it won’t be able to cross 40.

Like & Retweet for Maximum Reach.

So, instead of the 70-30 Relative Strength Index,
we will use the 60-40 range for the RSI indicator for this strategy.

When the
Monthly and Weekly RSI>60,
& when the RSI takes support at 40 in the daily chart,
it may bounce back and most probably it will not go below 40.

If a bullish candle is formed at the 40 RSI level,
the prices may bounce back, and one can enter the stock.

The stoploss can be placed at the low of that bullish candlestick,
and the target can be the 60 RSI level.

When the
Monthly and Weekly RSI<40,
& when the RSI takes resistance at 60 in the daily chart,
it may bounce back and most probably it will not go above 60

If a bearish candle is formed at the 60 RSI level,
the prices may bounce back from there, & 1 can enter the stock 4 shorting

The stoploss can be placed at the high of that bearish candlestick, and the target can be the 40 RSI levels.

Planning for Overlord and Neptune had a serious snag, how to get troops from LSTs onto the beach as simply ramming them onto the beaches and dropping the ramp was known to damage the exceptionally vulnerable LSTs and felt to be unsustainable in the mid to long term. /2


LSTs were essential in sustaining Overlord's progress and were a subject of major headaches in the planning phase, and a real subject of friction when it came to launching additional amphibious operations such as Dragoon.

A single LSTs loss represented a capability nick. /3


So, logic dictated, we don't really want these remarkable but rare and highly valuable vessels constantly doing beach landings, we want something to act as a medium between ship to shore, and in came the (mostly) American designed Rhino. /4
