I've been trying to put this into words for a while now:

I truly think Biden understands the presidency more than perhaps any President since JFK. He is very aware of this moment and his role.

At some point you should stop underestimating him.

Conservatives pretend Biden is senile while others categorize him as just a "Joe from Scranton". Both are very wrong.

Yes, he's got a regular guy persona. But he also lapses into quoting Irish poets, Lincoln, and St. Augustine at the drop of a hat. He's not shy about it.
He's incredibly in-tune with the American Ethos: he knows the role of the Presidency, in both a practical and inspirational role. His idea of the presidency is fundamentally as a transformative role. I've seen nothing to suggest the contrary.

He gets it. He freakin' gets it.
The bar is so low after Trump that a half-assed attempt would clear it easily and look miraculous in comparison.

Nah. Joe's gunning for the record. At some point you have to stop complaining he's complacent when he puts a 1.9T package as priority #1 and signs 30 EOs in 3 days.
I don't think enough has been written about the transformative impact a successful Biden term could actually bring. We're going from an administration who honestly didn't even try to one staffed by experts and experienced veterans.

People will notice the effects.
"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help."

This has been a predominant mindset in America for 40 years.

But Biden is about to challenge that in one of the most profound ways possible. People will notice.
You will notice if teachers start having the equipment they need. You will notice vaccination centers on every corner. You will notice the check in your pocket and the effects of it. You will notice that flying sounds less dangerous because of a mask mandate. You will notice.
Going from the single most dysfunctional federal administration to a well-oiled machine during these unique moments of synchronized crises _will_ make a long-term impact on how Americans view government, and it _will_ be a historical moment.

And Joe Biden freakin' GETS IT.
Biden is well aware of the mythology of this moment. He recognizes the perfect storm that has been created. He knows what needs to be done and what doing it will mean.

Joe gets the quintessential strength of America. He's determined to wield it. Don't underestimate him.
They haven't budged on one single dollar. Psaki had a knife ready yesterday when the NYT reporter suggested that it wasn't "unity" to put forth a big aid package.

She gave you a preview: if Republicans want to be the party against helping Americans, we'll help them message it.
Go ahead, treat him like a senile old idiot.

The smartest people don't announce it like Cruz. The smartest people know the value of appearing unremarkable.

I don't normally do threads like this but I did want to provide some deeper thoughts on the below and why having a video game based on a real world war crime from the same people that received CIA funding isn't the best idea.

This will go pretty in depth FYI.


The core reason why I'm doing this thread is because:

1. It's clear the developers are marketing the game a certain way.

2. This is based on something that actually happened, a war crime no less. I don't have issues with shooter games in general ofc.

Firstly, It's important to acknowledge that the Iraq war was an illegal war, based on lies, a desire for regime change and control of resources in the region.

These were lies that people believed and still believe to this day.

It's also important to mention that the action taken by these aggressors is the reason there was a battle in Fallujah in the first place. People became resistance fighters because they were left with nothing but death and destruction all around them after the illegal invasion.

This is where one of the first red flags comes up.

The game is very much from an American point of view, as shown in the description.

When it mentions Iraqi civilians, it doesn't talk about them as victims, but mentions them as being pro US, fighting alongside them.
