LW & RW Part 2

Time to replace the terms Right Wing & Left Wing with 'Rational & Irrational Sides'?

The terms LW & RW, originated during French Revolution, has completely lost its significance & are not relevant anymore, atleast in #IndianPolitics.

It is time to use more broader words "Rational & Irrational" instead of "RW & LW".

Let's understand how..
#RSS

RSS which is a Right Wing Org,

But at the same time it is "Anti FDI", "Anti Capitalist" & a wing of RSS, "the Labour Organization" has raised its voice many times in favour of "Pro Labour Rights" which are basic features of LW.

So will you say that RSS is a LW Org?
#Congress

Congress which is traditionally a Left to the centre party, in 1991 it introduced the most revolutionary economic reform, the LPG reforms (Liberalisation, Privatization & Globalisation), which are related to free market economy.

So, has Congress become a RW party??
#BJP

BJP is traditionally a Centre Right party.

But it follows all "Socialist Policies of Welfare State" like Manrega.
Did BJP ever try to stop these policies..?

No, actually BJP promotes these.

So should we say that BJP is a LW party??
A unique feature of Indian politics is the formation of "Coalition Government"

So let's see some instances of it..
1. #Bihar

Till 2013, #JDU which claims to be a "Left Socialist Party" was in coalition with #BJP which is a "Center Right Party".

So what will you say to this coalition government.. LW or RW??

2. #Maharastra

Currently, #ShivSena which is (was) traditionally assumed to be a "Far Right Wing" is in Coalition with Congress "A Centre Left".

And you see the sudden Radical Shift in Shivsena's policy... that's what Rajat ji pointed out, am I right?
Now let's see some regional parties..
SP, BSP, JD(U), RJD,... these all follow Socialism (समाजवाद), Liberalism & principles of 'Lohiya'.. but when they come in power then promote "Industries", "Capitalism" & try to bring "FDI"

What it means is they are LW when not in power & become RW when come in power??
Indian politics is too diverse and the terms LW & RW are not so broad that these can fit here.

But #Media likes these labeling & uses it accordingly.

Hence it's a demand of time to introduce new terms which can fit in current political spectrum!

In previous thread I missed "Centre Wing"

1. Which always searches "Middle Ground"

2. Whose some policies are LW & some are RW, hence sometimes called "Moderate" too.

3. Their politics is generally "Issue Based", which may be left or right.
This thread is completely based on my understanding of politics as little as I have.

If you think that I missed any point or made any mistake then please let me know in replies.

The secret is *balance* (3/12)

Starting with a masked autoencoder over frames from these video clips, make a choice:

1) Condition on language and improve our ability to reconstruct the scene.

2) Generate language given the visual representation and improve our ability to describe what's happening. (4/12)

By trading off *conditioning* and *generation* we show that we can learn 1) better representations than prior methods, and 2) explicitly shape the balance of low and high-level features captured.

I just finished Eric Adler's The Battle of the Classics, and wanted to say something about Joel Christiansen's review linked below. I am not sure what motivates the review (I speculate a bit below), but it gives a very misleading impression of the book. 1/x


The meat of the criticism is that the history Adler gives is insufficiently critical. Adler describes a few figures who had a great influence on how the modern US university was formed. It's certainly critical: it focuses on the social Darwinism of these figures. 2/x

Other insinuations and suggestions in the review seem wildly off the mark, distorted, or inappropriate-- for example, that the book is clickbaity (it is scholarly) or conservative (hardly) or connected to the events at the Capitol (give me a break). 3/x

The core question: in what sense is classics inherently racist? Classics is old. On Adler's account, it begins in ancient Rome and is revived in the Renaissance. Slavery (Christiansen's primary concern) is also very old. Let's say classics is an education for slaveowners. 4/x

It's worth remembering that literacy itself is elite throughout most of this history. Literacy is, then, also the education of slaveowners. We can honor oral and musical traditions without denying that literacy is, generally, good. 5/x

और देवर्षि नारद वहीं बैठकर तपस्या में लीन हो गए।इन्द्र नारद की तपस्या से घबरा गए।उन्हें हमेशा की तरह अपना सिंहासन व स्वर्ग खोने का डर सताने लगा।इसलिए इन्द्र ने नारद की तपस्या भंग करने के लिए कामदेव को उनके पास भेज दिया।वहां पहुंच कामदेव ने अपनी माया से वसंतऋतु को उत्पन्न कर दिया।


पेड़ और पौधों पर रंग बिरंगे फूल खिल गए और कोयलें कूकने लगी,पक्षी चहकने लगे।शीतल,मंद,सुगंधित और सुहावनी हवा चलने लगी।रंभा आदि अप्सराएं नाचने लगीं ।किन्तु कामदेव की किसी भी माया का नारद पे कोई प्रभाव नहीं पड़ा।तब कामदेव को डर सताने लगा कि कहीं नारद क्रोध में आकर मुझे श्राप न देदें।

जैसे ही नारद ने अपनी आंखें खोली, उसी क्षण कामदेव ने उनसे क्षमा मांगी।नारद मुनि को तनिक भी क्रोध नहीं आया और उन्होने शीघ्र ही कामदेव को क्षमा कर दिया।कामदेव प्रसन्न होकर वहां से चले गए।कामदेव के चले जाने पर देवर्षि के मन में अहंकार आ गया कि मैने कामदेव को हरा दिया।

नारद फिर कैलाश जा पहुंचे और शिवजी को अपनी विजयगाथा सुनाई।शिव समझ गए कि नारद अहंकारी हो गए हैं और अगर ये बात विष्णु जी जान गए तो नारद के लिए अच्छा नहीं होगा।ये सोचकर शिवजी ने नारद को भगवन विष्णु को ये बात बताने के लीए मना किया। परंतु नारद जी को ये बात उचित नहीं लगी।
