Story of a mentally sick I$l@mist Jeh@di who killed almost 50-60% population of #Europe.

 Jani Beg Khan was the Muslim commander of the Mongol Army that invaded and besieged the #Italian town of Caffa in 1343-45.
The siege failed to succeed as Jani Beg’s army began suffering from a disease. Jani Beg ordered his troops to catapult over the corpses of his infected troops across the walls into the #Christian town. Called it “#Jihad”.
Within days, this led to a huge stench inside the town and inhabitants began suffering from diseases.

The inhabitants fled, taking with them the disease to Sicily and other parts of Europe.
What they introduced into #Europe was a #Plague known as “#Black_Death” which wiped out 30-60% of Europe’s population.

A contemporary witness de Mussis describes the entire episode:
He writes: “The Tartars (Mongols) lost interest in the siege. But they ordered corpses to be placed in catapults and lobbed into the city in the hope that the intolerable stench would kill everyone inside.
What seemed like mountains of dead were thrown into the city, and the #Christians could not hide or flee or escape from them, although they dumped as many of the bodies as they could in the sea.
And soon the rotting corpses tainted the air and poisoned the water supply, and the stench was so overwhelming that hardly one in several thousand was in a position to flee the remains of the Tartar army.
Moreover one #infected man could carry the poison to others, and infect people and places with the disease by look alone.

No one knew, or could discover, a means of defense.
“…It was as if they had brought evil spirits with them: every city, every settlement, every place was poisoned by the contagious pestilence, and their inhabitants, both men and women, died suddenly.
And when one person had contracted the illness, he #poisoned his whole family even as he fell and died, so that those preparing to bury his body were seized by death in the same way.
Thus death entered through the windows, and as cities and towns were depopulated their inhabitants mourned their dead neighbours.”

Inter-Religious (Interfaith) marriages in India.

The study suggests that 2.21% of all married women between the age of 15-49 had married outside their religion.


The proportion of inter-religious marriages in different age groups.

1. Women of the young age group 15-19 -- 2.8% (Highest)

2. In the age group 20-24 -- 2.3%

3. in the age group 25-29 -- 2%

4. Above the age of 30 -- 1.9%

Remember Gandhi asked Sardar Patel to make way for Nehru for the Prime Minister post?

Well, later on Gandhi wanted Nehru to step down because of the violence happening in Delhi, & since Sardar Patel was a peasant, wanted him as the Prime Minister for the nation's well being!


Why this sudden change?

Because Gandhi by now had realised where the INC was heading, had also seen the behavioural change in Nehru! He had also refered Nehru as 'Militant', hence wanted a leader like Patel for India.

And not alone this, Gandhi in his will said that #Congress is a Propaganda Machinery hence must be disbanded!

Part 2: Cyber Warfare

If you think we might only see wars happening on land, air or water then you're wrong, wars aren't limited to these now.

There's Cyber Space too, this is generally termed as ‘The 5th Generation Warfare’


India has already seen a sample of it recently during the Galwan Valley issue

Chinese govt backed hacker group called ‘Red Echo’ had done massive cyber attacks on India's critical infrastructure.

Due to the alertness of our ‘Cyber Response Team’ they couldn't cause much damage.

Wondering what happened?

A grid failure on 12 Oct '20 resulted in a major power outage in #Mumbai & its surrounding areas, affecting electricity supply, local trains etc.

It took hours for power supply to be gradually restored in a phase-wise

US based cyber security firm ‘Recorded Future’ released a report titled, ‘China-linked Group #RedEcho targets Indian Power Sector Amid Heightened Border Tensions’ that points to inflow of Chinese malware into India's critical infrastructure systems that manage electricity supply.

The report identifies RedEcho — a China based advanced persistent threat(APT) group — as the entity behind attempts to infiltrate India's power grids.

Recorded Future also stated that ‘Red Echo’ had targeted 10 vital nodes in India’s power distribution system & 2 seaports.

You ever thought about what's cyber fraud, theft, warfare, terr0rism?

And how good or bad is India in tackling these crimes?

First let's first see what makes India vulnerable to cyber threats.

1 India is 2nd largest consumer for smart devices and 2nd largest number of Internet users after China.

2 Widespread digital illiteracy makes Indian citizens highly susceptible to cyber fraud, theft, etc.

3 Substandard devices: Inadequate security infrastructure.

4 Rampant use of unlicensed software and underpaid licenses as well.

5 Under-reporting: People do not report cybercrime because of lack of awareness!

6 Accelerated digital adoption, over a short span of time eg. After Jio's launch, users of internet increased but digital literacy remains low.

Now read some data regarding this

• Govt data shows that in 2019 alone, India witnessed 94 lakh instances of cybersecurity breaches.

• In terms of hacking of State and Central govt websites, Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) data shows that a total of 336 websites belonging to Central Ministries, Departments, and State govts were hacked between 2017-19.

What is Yoga?

Nirukta Scripture says, युज्यते असौ योग:।

Which means, "One which connects us is YOGA."

• Now the question arises, what connects us with what?

✓ Yoga connects the Soul with the Divine.

Maharishi Panini says that we can define YOGA in three ways:

युज् समाधौ।
That means "Yoga is Samadhi"

युजिर् योगे।
That means "Yoga connects (The Soul with the Divine)"

युज् संयमने।
That means "Yoga gives Restraint"

According to Sanskrit dictionary ‘The Amarkosh’,

योग: संनहन उपाय ध्यान संगति युक्तिषु।

That means "The YOGA is used in the sense of Preparation, Remedy, Association & Tactic."

• Now the question arises that what preparation?

✓ Preparation for our physical development

✓ Preparation for our Mental Development

✓ Preparation to raise our Emotional Quotient

✓ Preparation to raise our Spiritual Quotient

A paadal Petra sthalam where Shiva took the form of Sundareswarar (the handsome one) and married Devi Parvati (Meenakshi).
Devi is also known by the name Angayarkanni (mother with the beautiful fish eyes).

Devi Meenakshi emerged from yagna fire as a 3 year old girl when Pandyan King Malayadwaja and Kanchanamalai were praying for a child.
It is said that Devi was born with three breasts and there was a prophesy that her superfluous breast would melt away when she met her husband.


Devi ruled over Madurai and captured Indralok. She went on to capture Kailasha. When she saw Shiva, her 3rd breast disappeared and she realised that Shiva would be her consort.
The divine marriage was attended by all Devas and Sri Vishnu (as her brother) gave her hand to Shiva.


It is said that Indra found a swayambhu lingam at Kadamba Vanam. He placed it in Madurai where the kshetram stands. Here, Shiva is seen on the vehicle of Indra.
The Golden Lotus Tank is said to be the place where a golden lotus blossomed for the puja performed by Indra.


The Meenakshi Thirukalyanam festival is celebrated in the Chithirai month to mark the divine marriage of Meenakshi Amman. The festival includes a procession where Meenakshi and Sundareshwara travel in a chariot and Sri Vishnu gives away his sister in marriage to Shiva.

SRI MOOKAMBIKA DEVI, KOLLUR (KAR)

There was an Asura, Kaumasura, who was doing penance to please Shiva and get a boon. To prevent him from asking for a boon, Devi Saraswati made him dumb (hence called Mookasur)
Later, Adi Parashakti slayed him and came to be called Mookambika.


It is said that Adi Shankaracharya had a vision in which Devi agreed to follow him provided he did not look back. He kept walking and was assured of her presence due to the sound of anklets. When he reached here in Kollur, he turned back as the sound of anklets had stopped.


So Devi stayed here and merged with the lingam. The place came to be called Mookambika Kshetram.
The linga has integrated on it’s left side MahaKali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswathi and on the right side- Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.


A swarna rekha (gold line) divides this linga into left and right portion. Adi Shakthi in this Udhbhavlinga form appears only here.
Devi sits in padmasana and has 4 hands.
Adi Shankaracharya installed the Sri Chakra in front of Devi and also composed the Soundarya Lahiri here.

I am reading through reams of late-1920s communist poetry and easily my favourite title so far is: "To a Lady who Rejected a Poem about Spring as a Petit-Bourgeois Deviation"

The last lines:

Maker movement is doing to startups what startups did to corporations.

Here is why 👇

Startups fixed the problem of innovation, that corporations lack.

In big, slow corporations, innovation is a RISK and distraction from the core $$$ profitable business.

Agile startups could launch, iterate fast and eventually stumble upon new growing market opportunities.

However,

When a startup reaches product-market-fit, it has to 🚀 "grow at all costs" and reach market dominance before some giant corporation can replicate their new product and distribute it to their existing giant customer base.

Startup's "growth at all costs" often means growth at the expense of charging customers $$$ money.

Hence, to be sustainable, startups have to constantly chase investor money.

Startup teams spend more time finding and pleasing investors, than finding and pleasing customers.

95% of startups die because they run out of (investor) money + no business model + crazy investor expectations.

Same way corporations die, when unable to adjust to new technology and market shifts.

Let's address the over thinkers first.

Do you have any idea why you overthink?

'Yea. Because others are judging how shy I am.'

Incorrect.

Others are thinking about themselves, not you.

But the fact that you think they are thinking about you, you fuck up the interaction.

Now you stay in your head too much & avoid the present moment.

A major no no in the social world.

Your tendency to think that others are judging you for being shy, coincidentally makes you more shy.

And that's when you start giving off a strange vibration to the social setting.

This is when you begin attracting comments like 'why are you so quiet?'
