#1: He starts by saying that saints should not do campaigns.

I do not know why he remained silent when open campaigns were done for DMK in churches and mosques. Perhaps because it suited their agenda?

#2: Thirumavelan goes on to try & re-emphasize the same old lie about Isha occupying forest lands.

Though he chose to not mention it, rebuttals have long been given along with the survey numbers also to show that they have not touched any forest

#3: Then there is a dumb comparison of temple vs hospital.

First of all, temples were not started by government but some hospitals were. So, temples are technically NOT the property of Govt.

By the way, you never say 'Govt property' but always refer to it as 'Public property'.

That's because there is nothing called as Government property as per law. A Government is just a body representing the public for governance. Anything the Government builds comes out of public money.

This just shows their poor knowledge of what public property is & its legality.

5/ Lincoln’s audience knew the history of slavery and many had suffered personal loss in the ongoing war. Dr. King’s audience knew the history of violent racism, segregation, and unequal economic opportunity. The Proclamation freed the slaves, “but the Negro still is not free.”

Imposter Syndrome 101

What if, I’m not good enough? What if, I try it and fail? What if, I speak up and say something dumb? Surely, I’m out of my league here.

Sound familiar? That annoying inner-voice is more common than you may think.

1/ First, what is it?

Imposter syndrome is a psychological phenomenon in which a person doubts their skills, talents, or accomplishments and has a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud.

Essentially, you attribute your success to dumb luck and/or believe it is undeserved.

2/ A pair of psychologists, Suzanna Imes & Pauline Clance, first noted this phenomenon in the 1970’s while observing 178 high-achieving women.

Inexplicably, the women had convinced themselves they were not that smart, instead they had simply fooled anyone who thought otherwise.

3/ Initially, Imes & Clance believed this ‘imposter’ feeling was exclusive to women.

They theorized that since women were (wrongly) stereotyped as less capable at the time, these high-achievers rationalized their accolades by concluding it was all fake or perceived.

4/ In the time since researchers have established imposter syndrome can affect us all.

And, as many as 7 out of 10 of us have our own internal struggles with this self-defeating belief system.

As it turns out, high performers by their very nature are prone to imposter feelings.

We get recognition that PE "is not merely an opportunity for children to engage in PA" but that's linked to its role in "the development of knowledge & skills to foster their PA engagement throughout life" - so further focus on health outcomes. A long way from @meaningfulPE 🙄

When talking about security, the weakest link in a chain will be the one an attacker will go after. There are some applications in this thread that are very secure and have great protocols. But if the device is compromised, that will simply not matter. 4/53

So, if you have something very sensitive to discuss, my strong advice is to not trust that information to a mobile device - there are simply too many ways it could be compromised. So, from that perspective, the security of the protocol is not relevant. 5/53

First, a little 'explainer' on Trump World. One of the things unique to Trump World (and this was a thing during the 2016 Campaign, too) is you want 'helpers' in the media not just in general but for the audience of one: i.e., Mr. Trump.

Trump World people, more than any other ecosystem, uses journalists (who are happy to oblige, in exchange for leaks) to put out narratives they want out there... not just in general but narratives they want TRUMP to read.

People who can be around fantasy a lot, without losing track of reality.

Counter intuitive perhaps. But people who deal with fantasy at a professional level become expert at recognising its stench.

That's a useful skill in 2021, when the world, and particularly America, is being sucked into a vortex of unreality.

Because human beings do not, as a rule, have good tools for distinguishing fantasy from reality.

This isn't a bug of humankind, it's very much a feature.
