In puja the preferred flower is of malti.
The flowers of Tamaal provide bhog and moksha. Malika flower destroys all your sins. Juhi flower takes you to Vishnu lok. Karvir flower takes you to Vaikunth. Mogra and lodhra also take you to Vaikunth lok. Japa pushp gives you punya. Pavanti, Kubjak and Tagar take you to Vishnu
lok. Kaner takes you to Vishnu lok. Kurunt or yellow kutsaraiya destroys your sins. Lotus, kuunt and Ketaki give you Paramgati. Baan pushp, Barbar pushp and Krishna tulsi leaves give you paramgati. Ashok, Tilak and Adusa flower provide you moksha.
Bilva and Shami leaves provide you param gati. Tamaal dal and Bhringraj flowers provide moksha.Krishna tulsi, Shukla tulsi, Kalhar Utpal and Padma give you moksha.
Shri Hari is more pleased with garland made of Neep, Arjun, Bakul, Palash, Muni, Gokarn, Nagkarn, Chameli,
Sandhya pushpi, Ketaki, Kushmand, Kus, Kaas etc.
It is always better to take flowers from your garden.Also never pick up fallen flowers for making offerings. Also never take crushed or stale flowers. Similarly flowers to be avoided are Shirish, Kutaj, Dhatur, kachnaar & Shalmali
