भारतीय ज्योतिष शास्त्र में ग्रहों को अपने अनुकूल बनाने के लिए ‘वनस्पति’ की विशेष भूमिका रही है। उसके अनुसार पेड़-पौधों लगाने और इनके हवन-पूजन से ग्रहों संबंधी कई समस्याएं दूर होती हैं।

ज्योतिष शास्त्र में ग्रहों की संख्या 9 बतायी गई है

सूय्र्यचन्द्रो मंगलश्च बुधश्चापि बृहस्पति:।
शुक्र: शनेश्चरो राहु: केतुश्चेति नव ग्रहा:।।

ऐसी मान्यता है कि इन ग्रहों की विभिन्न नक्षत्रों में स्थिति के अनुसार प्रत्येक मनुष्य पर इनके अलग-अलग प्रभाव पड़ते हैं,

ये प्रभाव अनुकूल और प्रतिकूल दोनों होते हैं। ग्रहों के प्रतिकूल प्रभावों को शांत करने के लिए शास्त्रों में अनेक उपाय बताये गये हैं जिनमें एक उपाय ‘यज्ञ’ भी है।

यज्ञ द्वारा हर ग्रह शांति के लिए अलग अलग विशिष्ट वनस्पति की समिधा (हवन प्रकाष्ठ) प्रयोग की जाती है,

जैसा श्लोक में वर्णित है

“अर्क: पलाश: खदिरश्चापामार्गोऽथ पिप्पल:
औडम्बर: शमी दूव्र्वा कुशश्च समिध: क्रमात्”(गरुण पुराण)

अर्थात्

1-‘सूर्य ग्रह’ की शान्ति हेतू ‘अर्क (मदार)’ की समिधा का प्रयोग होता है मदार की लकड़ी में उसके पत्तों व गाय का घी मिलाकर हवन करने से रोग नाश होते हैं

2- चंद्र के लिए

पलाश के पेड़ में ब्रह्मा, विष्णु व महेश का निवास माना जाता है। पलाश के सूखे हुए फूल देवी देवताओं को कार्तिक माह में चढ़ाने से ग्रह बाधा दूर हो जाती है।

इसके वृक्ष को घर से दक्षिण-पूर्व (southeast) दिशा में लगाना चाहिए

Importance of Nritya Ganapati..

Nritiya Ganapati is the dancing form of Ganesha and is one of the 32 forms of Ganapathi. Ganapati is a connoisseur of fine arts. A devotee of Nritya Ganapati attains proficiency in 64 types of fine arts and achieves excellence in them.

In this form the Ganesha appears in golden hue complexion in dancing posture on one leg under Kalpavriksha with four hands. On his main right hand holds the tusk and the upper hand with elephant goad, on the left hand hold a battle-axe and noose.

On his fingers with rings and the trunk curled holding his favourite sweet Modaka.
Magha nakshatra is associated with this form of Ganapati.

His worship is believed to bestow the devotees with an aptitude for learning fine arts, proficiency in them, also success in that field.

In ancient India, 12 different kinds of offspring were regarded as the father's legitimate heirs. They don't all have to be their legal father's biological offspring.

Aurasa : biological son through a woman in a typical marriage, with the Y chromosome belonging to the father.

Putrikaputra : When there isn't a son, the female is treated as one, and her son inherits the estate legally (ex : Babruvahana, born to Arjuna and Chitrangada, but became legal heir of his maternal-grandfather.)

Kshetraja : although husband is not the biological father, wife's womb. (For instance, Kunti and Madri give birth to Pandavas.) The children may be born even after the husband passes away, and they will still be considered the deceased father's heir.

Dattaka : legal adoption or vedic ritual adoption.

Kritima : A youngster is fed and raised as a son, but there are no formal adoption procedures followed. The child grows up and views you as their parent

WHY IS SHRI HANUMAN CALLED SANKAT MOCHAN

Sankat Mochan means remover of all sorrows or difficulties. There is no other devotee greater than Shri Hanuman, Who will be always ready to clear every difficulties. There are many instances in Srimad Ramayana which is the reason why Hanuman is also called as Sankat Mochan.

Shri Ram sends Hanuman towards to find Ma Sita. When Hanuman reaches Lanka & he witnessed difficulties faced by Ma, when ma decided to give up her life, Hanuman instills confidence & told her Ram will arrive at Lanka to rescue & defeat Ravan Thus Hanuman removes Sankat of Ma Sita

During Ramayana war, Lakshmana was seriously injured because of Indrajit. Shri Rama was very much worried as Lakshmana was unconscious. Rama sends Hanuman to fetch Sanjeevani Herb, who lifts the whole mountain when the herb couldn't be identified.

Lakshmana regained consciousness & sorrow of Shri Rama was thus relieved. Hanuman is the remover of Sankat ( sorrow) of all, who prays with utmost faith & thus called Sankat Mochan.

2. Advandvam (non-duality): not being subject to the opposites of heat and cold, pain and pleasure, bitter perspiration, and good and bad

4. Agni arka ambu viṣa ādīnām pratiṣṭambhaḥ: controlling fire, sun, water, and poison and preventing their effects

5. Aparājayah: becoming unconquerable

7. Dūra-śravaṇa: hearing distant events or things happening
Dūra-darśanam: seeing far-off activities or occurrences

9. kāma-rūpam: acquiring or taking on the desired form

10. Para-kāya praveśanam (vikranabhav): Taking over another person's body (spirits are thought to take over a person's body if their astral body is weak, but the ability described here is different and superior)

Sushruta—Father of Surgery

By the sixth century BC, Sushruta, a surgeon, and Ayurvedic teacher, was thriving in the Indian city of Kashi.

In Kashi, where he worked as a surgeon, Sushruta studied medicine and discovered the causes and cures for various illnesses. He is well known for his novel approaches to rhinoplasty, cataract surgery's extracapsular lens extraction, anal surgery, and dental surgery.

However, little is known about his vivid descriptions of obesity, angina, and diabetes (madhumeha), among other conditions (medoroga).

He studied under Dhanwantari, the revered Lord god of the Indian medical system known as Ayurveda (the science of life). He was revealed to be Visvamitra, a Vedic sage.

He is credited for compiling the Vedic Sanskrit medical text Sushruta Samhita. The eight Ayurvedic medical branches are discussed in the Sushruta Samhita. Six sections and 184 chapters make up the work.

Chariot of Surya Dev is referred to as Samvatsara that is, 12 months calculated by its spokes. Rim is said to be 6 seasons. Aruna is the charioteer & chariot is driven by 7 horses. It is said in Srimad Bhagavatam that Rath od Surya Dev is about 9000 yojanas long.

As per Brahmanda Purana these 7 horses are named after Sapta Chandas, meters in Sanskrit.

Emperor Maandhata governed alongside his wife Indumathi, their three sons Purukutsa, Ambarisha, and Naabhaga, as well as fifty daughters, from their capital city of Ayodhya. The guru of the Rig Veda at that time was a famous sage by the name of Soubhari.
