I spoke to some youths today.

I was shadowing at a farm incubator. An animal ethics class from the college had come to do a tour, and it became clear about 10 minutes in that they didn’t want to talk about composting, no-till, or cover crops.

They wanted to talk about death.

To be clear, this is not a productive farm.

It’s a market garden/commons. It’s a place where city folks learn how to build raised beds.

So when a freshman philosophy student raised her hand and asked how much pigs suffer when they’re killed, no one could answer but me.

Immigration is inherently a biological question, whether you like it or not.

At that point, there will be no more diversity. Diversity can only be maintained through segregation.

And if the endpoint is thorough intermixing, that naturally will result in visibly altered nations.

Especially when the native stock portion of a country may scarcely be 30% by century's end, as in the UK.

In other contexts, such outcomes might be labeled genocide.

1/ Market moves in waves:

• A stock/index / underlying usually follows two phases; viz. Contraction & Expansion in a cyclical manner.

2/ Logic to find explosive stocks:

• After a quite/contraction phase the expansion phase follows, this is where most of the money is made for a trend follower.

• Like a lion which patiently waits to for its prey to make less movement before making a kill.

• A trader too has to wait for the sideways /consolidation period to end before striking the hammer for the explosive move.

• Wait patiently for market to make a narrow range such that movement should be almost dead or within a very small range.

• A volatility contraction is often followed by a volatility expansion.

• After a range formation the range will be broken either oon upside which is called as Breakout (BO) or would be broken on the downside which is called as Breakdown (BD).

One of the reasons young people struggle so much with mental health nowadays is because there is a crisis of authority in society - no one actually tells them how to live well, with any suggestion of a normative or “right” way of doing things being deemed problematic

Instead they have nothing to guide them except deceptive inner monologues and colourful infographics made by San Francisco designers with no life experience telling them “you do you”, “it’s okay to be lazy”, “it’s okay to be selfish” on their instagram feeds

And so people end up making mistakes and suffering consequences that could have been prevented had they been given actual advice acquired over centuries of culture and tradition (Scruton’s “answers that have been discovered to enduring questions”)

But tradition alone is not enough - it needs to be embodied. We need teachers, counsellors, priests, etc. who are personally invested in our self-betterment and can tell us when we are doing things wrong from a place of love

Insisting that people will be happy if they just do whatever they feel like is not loving. It’s also a sentiment that has so obviously been exploited by capitalism since the 60s: a society that promotes unrestrained self-actualisation is the ideal consumer society

Every day, there is far too much noise in the first few minutes. Positional traders should avoid some time in order to avoid being butchered right away.

Beware of wicks. They are buyer/seller traps. Rather wait for a good candle to close above your support/resistance to open/close a trade.
