Once Maha Periyava undertook his divya darshana yatra with His entourage to Sri Saila kshetra which is known as the 'Dakshina Kailash'. When they reached Kurnool, Acharyal was given a grand reception at the borders of the

city. Sri Maha Periyava was accommodated in a bhajan mandapa where He gave a discourse on Sanatana Dharma in Telugu to the large gathering of devotees. At the end of the lecture, He gave the devotees His blessings and prasadam and continued on His yatra. After they passed a

distance of seven or eight miles, a fertile Zamin village was sighted. All the people in the village with their family and children came to the boundary of the village and welcomed Maha Periyava with purna kumbham. Thereafter, the Zamindar of the village prayed to Sri Maha

Periyava with humility: "Our village should become holy, sanctified by the holy feet of Maha Swamigal. You should stay here for a few days. There is a large choultry here with facilities for your stay and puja punaskarya. A clean puskarani is also nearby." The entire village

prostrated to Maha Periyava and prayed. Acharyal was moved by their Atmarta bhakti. He gave them His anugraha and announced to their immense happiness that He would stay with them for twenty one days. The village wore a festive look on the next morning. Arrangements for the

கொள்ளாமல் யாசகம் எடுத்து ஜீவித்து வந்தவர் #வேதாந்ததேசிகர் பெரியவர்களாக யார் இருந்தாலும் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதிகள் இருப்பார்கள். அந்தப் பெரியவரை அவமானப்படுத்திப் பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்று சூழ்ச்சி செய்கிறவர்களும் இருப்பார்கள். ஸ்ரீவேதாந்த தேசிகருக்கும் இப்படிப்பட்ட விரோதிகள் இருந்தார்கள்

“ஸர்வதந்திர ஸ்வதந்திரர்” என்று போற்றப்படுபவர் தேசிகர், அதாவது வெளி உதவி எதுவும் இல்லாமலே தாமே எதையும் சாதிக்கக்கூடியவராக இருப்பவருக்கு இந்தப் பட்டம் அருளப்படும். அவருக்கு இது பொருந்தாது என உலகுக்குக் காட்டி அவரை அவமானப்படுத்து வேண்டும் என அவர் விரோதிகள் நினைத்து சூழ்ச்சி செய்தனர்

பரம ஏழையான ஓர் அந்தணன் பணம் இல்லாததால் திருமணமே ஆகாமல் சிரமப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தான். தேசிகரின் விரோதிகள் அவனிடம் தேசிகரிடம் சென்று திருமணம் நடக்க பண உதவி கேட்க சொன்னார்கள். ‘ஸர்வதந்திர ஸ்வதந்திர’ என்பதால் இவனுக்காக அவர் பிறரிடம் யாசிக்க முடியாது. இவரால் பணம் கொடுக்க முடியாமல்

#know_our_good_souls A young man in his thirties used to stand on the footpath opposite the famous Tata Cancer Hospital at Mumbai and stare at the crowd in front- fear plainly written upon the faces of the patients standing at death's door, their relatives with equally grim

faces running around. These sights disturbed him greatly. Most of the patients were poor people from distant towns. They had no idea whom to meet, or what to do. They had no money for medicines, not even food. The young man, heavily depressed, would return home. Something should

be done for these people, he would. think. He was haunted by the thought day and night. At last he found a way. He rented out his own hotel that was doing good business and raised some money. From these funds he started a charitable activity right opposite Tata Cancer Hospital,

on the pavement next to Kondaji Building. He himself had no idea that the activity would continue to flourish even after the passage of 27 years. The activity consisted of providing free meals for cancer patients and their relatives. Many people in the vicinity approved of this

activity. Beginning with fifty, the number of beneficiaries soon rose to hundred, two hundred, three hundred. As the numbers of patients increased, so did the number of helping hands. As years rolled by, the activity continued; undeterred by the change of seasons, come winter,

1. சோட்டானிக்கரை பகவதி அம்மன் ஒரு நாளுக்கு மூன்று வித ஆடைகள் அணிந்து மூன்று வடிவங்களில் காட்சி தருகிறாள். காலையில் வெண்ணிற ஆடையுடன் சரஸ்வதி தேவியாக, உச்சி வேளையில் செந்நிற ஆடையுடன் லட்சுமி தேவியாக, மாலையில்

2. மதுரை மீனாட்சியம்மன் கோயிலின் கீழ் கோபுரத்தின் நடுவிலிருந்து மேல் கோபுரத்தை நோக்கி ஒரு கோடு போட்டால், அது சிவலிங்கப் பெருமான் வழியாகச் செல்லும். அது போல் வடக்கு -

தெற்கு கோபுரங்களுக்கிடையே கோடிட்டுப் பார்த்தால், அது சுந்தரேசர் சன்னதியை இரண்டாகப் பகிர்ந்து செல்லும். இந்த அமைப்பு அக்கால சிற்பிகளின் அபரிமிதமான திறனை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது.

3. திருவண்ணாமலையிலிருந்து 16 கிலோமீட்டர் தூரத்தில் உள்ளது தேவிகாபுரம். இங்குள்ள பொன்மலைநாதர் கோயிலில் அருள்

பாலிக்கும் கனககிரீஸ்வரருக்கு தினமும் வெந்நீரில் அபிஷேகம் செய்கிறார்கள். காலையில் இரண்டு மணி நேரம் மட்டுமே பூஜை செய்வார்கள். சிவராத்திரியன்று விசேஷ பூஜைகள் உண்டு.

4. 108 திவ்யதேசங்களில் முதன்மை ஆலயமான ஸ்ரீரங்கத்தில் பள்ளி கொண்டுள்ள ஸ்ரீரங்கநாதப் பெருமாளுக்கு அமாவாசை, ஏகாதசி,

மாதப்பிறப்பு ஆகிய நாட்களில் வெந்நீரால் அபிஷேகம் செய்வார்கள். வேறு எந்த திவ்ய தேசத்திலும் இதுபோல் செய்வதில்லை.

5. கும்பகோணம் நல்லம் தலத்திலுள்ள ஆலயத்தில் நடராசர் சுயம்பு வடிவில் காட்சி தருகிறார். இவர் கையில் ரேகையும், காலில் பச்சை நரம்பும் நன்கு தெரியும். இவரை சற்று தொலைவில்
