What they don’t say at these rallies is for them, 'America First' means white dominance. They want to end immigration to preserve a white demographic majority for future generations in America. A small non-white minority can remain, as long as white birthrates stay up.
Like many before him Nick takes great pains to say he's not a white nationalist but it's all there. “Why can’t we wake up and acknowledge,” he said in summer 2020, as the Black Lives Matter uprising grew across the country, “that we as a people- white people- are under attack?”
Nick’s antisemitism misogyny anti-black racism & xenophobia is well-documented. He marched at Unite the Right & is heavily networked with the alt-right. Why does his star continue to rise while most other alt-right leaders have fallen from prominence? https://t.co/XUdSKMVbEd
Despite early enthusiasm for the Trump campaign, most white nationalists had lost faith in Trump by 2018, seeing him as too beholden to the ‘globalist’ establishment agenda of free trade, liberal cosmopolitanism and slavish support for Israel. https://t.co/d5Z6G6tZDp
Many gave up trying to influence mainstream politics entirely, and instead developed inward-facing institutions, went off the grid, & embraced accelerationist terror. Fuentes & co, however, remained committed to transforming mainstream conservatism.

The problem facing Fuentes’ ‘groyper’ movement is that on the mainstream Right it’s still toxic to explicitly advocate for white nationalism. After the fallout from 2017’s Unite the Right rally, nobody wanted to be associated with these ideas. How to overcome this barrier?
In an April 2019 private members-only broadcast Fuentes outlined his strategy. He explained to his groypers that “we need to break away” from the old alt-right and “create a new periphery”, to move white nationalist ideas closer into the mainstream GOP.
“Bit by bit, we start to break down these walls and get back in...what’s going to be critical is, we have to put on the American flag, change the look, change the rhetoric” and create a “new category” of America First patriots, who support explicit white nationalism.

Other white nationalists have tried this mainstreaming strategy. In 1991 former KKK leader David Duke won 55% white vote in Louisiana governor race, impressing conservative leaders like Pat Buchanan, who brought Duke's careful race-baiting further into GOP https://t.co/lKWg2ASljc
Yesterday & today, the white nationalist threat doesn't just look like tiki torches & acts of terror. Mainstreaming efforts like the groypers can radicalize white constituencies, cast dangerous ideas deeper into the political field & pull the conservative consensus further Right.

Charles Walker, Vice Chair of the 1922 Tory backbench committee in the Commons tells TWTW that he thinks the government knew it intended to “cancel” Christmas on Wednesday or Thursday but waited for Parliament to rise to do it. Says many of his colleagues find this “egregious.”

When put to Walker that Matt Hancock said this morning that wasn’t the case, it was the briefing on Friday which prompted the decision, Walker says: “Hmm yeah...well I’d have to disagree with the SoS on that.” So he’s either saying Hancock isn’t being truthful or is misinformed.

Walker: “Surely at some stage a senior government minister has say I’ve offered my resignation to the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister has to say- very early I’ve had to accept this.”

Reminder- Charles Walker is Vice Chair of the Tory backbench committee.

Walker heavily implies it’s Matt Hancock he wants to see resign: “I’m not asking for the government to collapse. I’m asking for a Secretary of State to take some responsibility.”

The Charles Walker interview is extraordinary in what he is inferring. A senior Conservative MP is essentially accusing his govt and ministers of deceit about what they knew about the new strain and when and by implication the timing of the new lockdown.

Last week, @CleCityCouncil started reviewing Mayor Frank Jackson’s proposed city budget for 2021. There was robust discussion, and Documenters were there to cover it. Here’s a thread of what we learned last week about the #CLEBudget

First, it helps to know where we are in the budget process. From today through Feb. 24, the council will meet about the General Fund budget. The council will then agree on a budget with their changes (if any); 15 days after doing so, they can vote to make the budget official.


In other words, there’s still time to use your voice! The #refundcleveland tool can help. Create the #CLEBudget you want and send it to your council member. Click “Change the Budget” on the homepage and follow the on-screen instructions from there.

to fight the demon Suran and hence this place was called as 'Vel kadu' and became as Verkadu. As per legend Devi Karumariamman once disguised as a soothsayer visited Bhagwan Surya, the Sun God, to predict His future. 2/n


Not realising that the soothsayer is none other than Sakthi Matha, Surya ignored Her. Angered by his indifference, Devi Karumariamman immediately retreated. Bhagwan Surya lost His glory and the earth plunged into darkness. 3/n


Bhagwan Surya then realised His folly and pleaded forgiveness from Devi Karumariamman. In order to pacify mother Karumariamman, Suryadev said that His rays would fall on Her directly twice in a year and touch her feet. (in the month of Panguni (March- April) & during (Sep - Oct)
