Born in the glorious line of Sisodiya Rajputs. He ascended the throne in 1433 and immediately started military operations.

In 1437 he defeated Sultan of Malwa and routed his entire army.
This was the most disgraceful defeat of khilji.

For a brief period of time he had some conflicts with Rao Jodha and captured Marwar. Completely placing it under his control.

However 7 yrs later Rao Jodha recovered from the loss of Marwar and made peace with Maharana.

ascended the throne in 1508.
Little did anyone knew that not only he was going to expand Mewar's influence but he was destined to be acknowledged as leader of Hindu India.

Very soon he started recovering lost territories of Mewar.

Maharana Sanga's kingdom was surrounded by 3 muzzie kingdoms .
Delhi , Malwa and Gujarat.
The only way left here was to wage wars and conquer new territories.

He was pretty much successful in all battles he fought against them.
He extended his kingdom and established new boundaries which were not dared for a long time.

He also asked biramdev to hand over Ajmer to him but after getting refusal , He took over Merta and biram had to retire to Ajmer.

Thirugnana Sambandar & Appar(Thirunavukkarasar) travelled together to various Shiva Alayam to spread shivam & bhakti among people.They both reached Thirumaraikadu.

Appar & Sambandar were asked to enter the temple through side entrance.The main door was locked by Vedas many years ago.Appar&Sambandar sang devotional hymns praising Shiva, after which the gates opened & closed.After which main door opened for all.

After darshan of Bhagwan Shiva at Thirumaraikkadu,Sambandar received a message to travel to Madurai.
During that time, Samanam was on the rise in the Pandya Kingdom.The Pandya King converted to Samanam.The Queen Mangaiyarkkarasi was a staunch Shiva devotee and was upset.

Kularchirai Nayanar ,Chief Minister of Pandya kingdom was in agony by the turn of events.Queen requested Kulachirai Nayanar to escort Thiru gnana Sambandar to Madurai.Kularchirai Nayanar met Thiru gnana Sambandar at Thirumaraikkadu & requested him to visit Madurai.

WEAPONS OF MAHADEV

Sarvaripati Shiva is one of the most fearsome manifestations of Mahadev. Assigned with destroying all of the universes at the end of time, Shiva is one of the most fearsome warriors. He is the Mrityunjaya.

TRISHULA: the 3 pointed blades denote creation, maintenance, and destruction or the 3 Kalas – Past, Present and Future. They also represent 3 Gunas – Sattva, Rajas and Tamas).
