Tetanus is caused by a bacteria called Clostridium tetani.
The bacteria is everywhere in environment and usually found in soil, dust and manure and its spores enters the body through breaks in the skin usually cuts or wounds caused by unclean objects.

●Symptoms of Tetanus
•The most common symptoms is the contraction of Jaw also called Jawlock
•Suddenly musscle cramping in stomach.
•Problem in Swallowing
•Painfull Muscle stiffness over the body.
• Fever or Sweating
•Sudden change in Blood pressure.
●Complications of Tetanus
• Your Vocal cord will get tighten
•With a severe tetanus your bones can get fractured automatically.
•Blockage of the main artery of the lung or one of its branches.
•Breathing Difficulties
●Opisthotonus in Tetanus Patient.
Opisthotonus is a type of abnormal posture where the back becomes extremely arched due to muscle contractions. This is a severe condition of Tetanus.
It can be a feature of severe acute hydrocephalus, poisoning, and drowning.
●Cure of Tetanus
You can easily prevent Tetanus by being vaccinated.
Tetanus is vaccine preventable disease. It doesn't spread from person to person.
The tetanus vaccine usually is given to child as part of the diphtheria, tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine.
At the the age of 2 month, 4 month, 6 month, 15-18 month, 4-6 year, 11 year.
It's recommended that adolescents get a dose of Tdap, preferably between the ages of 11 and 12, and a Td booster every 10 years thereafter.
