In this slokam, Swami Desikan talks about the ऐकमत्य of the Divya Dampathi, i.e. unison of thought and actions. Bhagavan has taken a vow to protect those in distress, आपन्नार्तिप्रशमनविधौ बद्धदीक्ष(
सकृर्देव प्रपन्नाय थवास्मॆति च याचते ।अभयं सर्वभूतेब्यो ढढाभ्येतत् व्रतं मम।।)2/n
Didn't You also vow to protect the Rakshasis even without their seeking your protection? Swami Desikan calls Sri Devi as प्रियसहचरी, beloved companion. 3/n
You accompany Your Bhagavan in all His avatarams with an appropriate form and assist Him to perform His duties of protection (धर्म संरक्षणम्). 4/n
Just like the waves of क्षीर सागर travel a long distance to reach the shores and still retain all their sweetness, You and Your Bhagavan leave Sri Vaikuntam and descend on this earth in Your avatarams with the sweetness of all Your Kalyana Gunas intact. 5/n
Bhagavad Ramanuja has beautifully explained this in his Sharangathi Gadyam
You are the abode of all auspiciousness, the destroyer of the ills of samsara and sorrows, the granter of all boons, the refuge of erring chethanas and You share these qualities with Your Bhagavan and hence You are united in thought and actions with Him. 7/n
O Sri Devi, You are the only refuge for chethanas suffering in this samsara. Through Your कटाक्षम् You quench the sorrows and heat of samsaric sufferings(आपन्नार्तिप्रशमन). 8/8

1st Live example of managing a strangle by Mitesh Sir. @Mitesh_Engr

• Sold Strangles 20% cap used
• Added 20% cap more when in profit
• Booked profitable leg and rolled up
• Kept rolling up profitable leg
• Booked loss in calls
• Sold only

2nd example by @Mitesh_Engr Sir on converting a directional trade into strangles. Option Sellers can use this for consistent profit.

• Identified a reversal and sold puts

• Puts decayed a lot

How can we use language supervision to learn better visual representations for robotics?

Introducing Voltron: Language-Driven Representation Learning for Robotics!

Paper: https://t.co/gIsRPtSjKz

🧵👇(1 / 12)

Videos of humans performing everyday tasks (Something-Something-v2, Ego4D) offer a rich and diverse resource for learning representations for robotic manipulation.

Yet, an underused part of these datasets are the rich, natural language annotations accompanying each video. (2/12)

The Voltron framework offers a simple way to use language supervision to shape representation learning, building off of prior work in representations for robotics like MVP (
https://t.co/Pb0mk9hb4i) and R3M (https://t.co/o2Fkc3fP0e).

The secret is *balance* (3/12)

Starting with a masked autoencoder over frames from these video clips, make a choice:

1) Condition on language and improve our ability to reconstruct the scene.

2) Generate language given the visual representation and improve our ability to describe what's happening. (4/12)

By trading off *conditioning* and *generation* we show that we can learn 1) better representations than prior methods, and 2) explicitly shape the balance of low and high-level features captured.

Why is the ability to shape this balance important? (5/12)
