ARE WE FAMILIAR WITH THE MEANING & POWER OF MANTRAS WE CHANT?

Whenever we chant a Mantra in Sanskrit, it starts with 'Om' and mostly ends with 'Swaha' or 'Namaha'. This specific alignment of words has a specific meaning to it which is explained in Dharma Shastra.

 Mantra is a Sanskrit word meaning sacred syllable or sacred word. But Mantras r not just words put together,they r also vibrations.The whole Universe is a cosmic energy in different states of vibration &this energy in different states of vibration forms the objects of Universe.
According to Scriptures,Om is considered to be ekaakshar Brahman,which means Om is the ruler of 3 properties of creator,preserver&destroyer which make the https://t.co/lyhkWeCdtv is also seen as a symbol of Lord Ganesha, as when starting the prayer,it's him who is worshipped 1st.
'Om' is the sound of the Universe. It's the first original vibration of the nothingness through which manifested the whole Cosmos. It represents the birth, death and rebirth process. Chanting 'Om' brings us into harmonic resonance with the Universe. It is a scientific fact.
Therefore, Mantras are described as vibrational words that are recited, spoken or sung and are invoked towards attaining some very specific results. They make very specific sounds at a frequency that conveys a directive into our subconcious.
Some Mantras are just prayers of the Gods & Goddesses while others are some powerful commands yielding some specific results. Many Mantras has one of two endings of either Namah or Swaha. 'Namah' means,
'I offer'and it can be used to worship Gods and Goddesses alike.
Namah is the Mantra of reverence &surrender.Mantras ending with Namah directs energy throughout our being. Hence,its very helpful to manifest abundant energy &is also beneficial for healing.
Swaha ,on other hand is used when oblations r being offered to Deities in the Yajna fire.
'Swaha' is also used after those Mantras in which, one wants to project more energy into. Its used as a demanding Mantra from the Deities.

मननात त्रायते इति मंत्र:

Meaning,'That which when thought of repeatedly protects oneself and also that which protects one from the mind'.
'Mantrayoga' also means that state in which contemplation stops during chanting, there is dissolution of the mind ie the one chanting the mantra ,the act of chanting and the seeker attains the state of dissolution (Layavastha).
मन्त्राणां पल्लवो वासो। मन्त्राणां प्रणव: शिर:। शिर: पल्लव संयुक्तो। काम्धुक भवेत।।
Meaning,'The letters or words in a mantra constitute its body and the Om at its beginning,is the head. If both the head and body are present then with that mantra one's aspirations are fulfilled'.
COMPOSITION OF MANTRAS

Usually,Mantra consists of the name of Deity to be worshipped, the favour to be asked &a decorative part at the end of Mantra called 'Pallav'

The meaning of some words that appear at the end of a Mantra:

'Namah'-Appeasing the Deity by surrendering to him
'Swaha' -Destruction of harmful energy, e.g. curing disease &doing good to others,appeasing the Deity with oblations.

'Svadha' -Self-contentment, strengthening oneself.

'Phat' -A spiritual emotion of destroying the enemy,driving it away.

'Hum' -Anger &courage to destroy enemy.
Vedic Mantras r superior to all other Mantras.Since,Vedic Mantras r directly the word of God,they r very efficacious when recited&sung properly in right circumstances.

SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLE OF MANTRA CHANTING is dat Mantras create these vibrations in air when chanted.
During chanting process, everybody involved gets immersed in this vibration &gets the benefit. Its a specific sound vibration dat helps our mind to vibrate at a certain frequency.And when dat frequency is aligned with the frequency of object,the essence of dat object is revealed.
That object can be anything, even the universe and that's how the cosmos is revealed to you.
Modern scientists has just started discovering these theories of sound vibrations and their impact which our ancient sages understood 10000 years ago.
Our Vedic Rishis also invented Yoga that can enrich the humans to live in harmony with the cosmos.
Recent Scientific experiments show that the chanting of Mantras with all their originality(Sanskrit) increased brain cells in cognitive areas of brain.
Well the impact of Mantras is far bigger than that but atleast the modern scientists have started to look that way. So,next time when you chant Mantras, chant with full faith & proper pronunciation & it will manifest into your life.

Each of our temples tells the story of our rich history and cultural heritage. Was Nehru that ashamed of his own nation's heritage that he had to cover them up or there was some other reason? The answer would be best known to him only.

PM Nehru invited the then Saudi King Saud bin Abdul Aziz to India who accepted the invitation and planned a 17 day long official visit to India in 1955. Saudi King had brought a large delegation with him and he had to visit various Indian cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Agra,


Aligarh, Shimla, Mysore and Varanasi. However, when Saudi King reached Varanasi, Nehru ordered to cover all the temples and Idols with curtains that came in the way of the Royal Convoy. During his stay in Varanasi, Govt buildings were painted with the words "Kalma Tayyiba".


'Kalma Tayyiba' means 'There is not God but only Allah and Mohammed is his messenger'. In addition to it, Pooja and Aartis were also stopped at temples. I can call it the appeasement politics of the highest order and Nehru was indeed the greatest appeaser of all times.

🌺श्री गरुड़ पुराण - संक्षिप्त वर्णन🌺

हिन्दु धर्म के 18 पुराणों में से एक गरुड़ पुराण का हिन्दु धर्म में बड़ा महत्व है। गरुड़ पुराण में मृत्यु के बाद सद्गती की व्याख्या मिलती है। इस पुराण के अधिष्ठातृ देव भगवान विष्णु हैं, इसलिए ये वैष्णव पुराण है।


गरुड़ पुराण के अनुसार हमारे कर्मों का फल हमें हमारे जीवन-काल में तो मिलता ही है परंतु मृत्यु के बाद भी अच्छे बुरे कार्यों का उनके अनुसार फल मिलता है। इस कारण इस पुराण में निहित ज्ञान को प्राप्त करने के लिए घर के किसी सदस्य की मृत्यु के बाद का समय निर्धारित किया गया है...

..ताकि उस समय हम जीवन-मरण से जुड़े सभी सत्य जान सकें और मृत्यु के कारण बिछडने वाले सदस्य का दुख कम हो सके।
गरुड़ पुराण में विष्णु की भक्ति व अवतारों का विस्तार से उसी प्रकार वर्णन मिलता है जिस प्रकार भगवत पुराण में।आरम्भ में मनु से सृष्टि की उत्पत्ति,ध्रुव चरित्र की कथा मिलती है।


तदुपरांत सुर्य व चंद्र ग्रहों के मंत्र, शिव-पार्वती मंत्र,इन्द्र सम्बंधित मंत्र,सरस्वती मंत्र और नौ शक्तियों के बारे में विस्तार से बताया गया है।
इस पुराण में उन्नीस हज़ार श्लोक बताए जाते हैं और इसे दो भागों में कहा जाता है।
प्रथम भाग में विष्णुभक्ति और पूजा विधियों का उल्लेख है।

मृत्यु के उपरांत गरुड़ पुराण के श्रवण का प्रावधान है ।
पुराण के द्वितीय भाग में 'प्रेतकल्प' का विस्तार से वर्णन और नरकों में जीव के पड़ने का वृत्तांत मिलता है। मरने के बाद मनुष्य की क्या गति होती है, उसका किस प्रकार की योनियों में जन्म होता है, प्रेत योनि से मुक्ति के उपाय...

दधीचि ऋषि को मनाही थी कि वह अश्विनी कुमारों को किसी भी अवस्था में ब्रह्मविद्या का उपदेश नहीं दें। ये आदेश देवराज इन्द्र का था।वह नहीं चाहते थे कि उनके सिंहासन को प्रत्यक्ष या परोक्ष रुप से कोई भी खतरा हो।मगर जब अश्विनी कुमारों ने सहृदय प्रार्थना की तो महर्षि सहर्ष मान गए।


और उन्होनें ब्रह्मविद्या का ज्ञान अश्विनि कुमारों को दे दिया। गुप्तचरों के माध्यम से जब खबर इन्द्रदेव तक पहुंची तो वे क्रोध में खड़ग ले कर गए और महर्षि दधीचि का सर धड़ से अलग कर दिया।मगर अश्विनी कुमार भी कहां चुप बैठने वाले थे।उन्होने तुरंत एक अश्व का सिर महर्षि के धड़ पे...


...प्रत्यारोपित कर उन्हें जीवित रख लिया।उस दिन के पश्चात महर्षि दधीचि अश्वशिरा भी कहलाए जाने लगे।अब आगे सुनिये की किस प्रकार महर्षि दधीचि का सर काटने वाले इन्द्र कैसे अपनी रक्षा हेतु उनके आगे गिड़गिड़ाए ।

एक बार देवराज इन्द्र अपनी सभा में बैठे थे, तो उन्हे खुद पर अभिमान हो आया।


वे सोचने लगे कि हम तीनों लोकों के स्वामी हैं। ब्राह्मण हमें यज्ञ में आहुति देते हैं और हमारी उपासना करते हैं। फिर हम सामान्य ब्राह्मण बृहस्पति से क्यों डरते हैं ?उनके आने पर क्यों खड़े हो जाते हैं?वे तो हमारी जीविका से पलते हैं। देवर्षि बृहस्पति देवताओं के गुरु थे।

अभिमान के कारण ऋषि बृहस्पति के पधारने पर न तो इन्द्र ही खड़े हुए और न ही अन्य देवों को खड़े होने दिया।देवगुरु बृहस्पति इन्द्र का ये कठोर दुर्व्यवहार देख कर चुप चाप वहां से लौट गए।कुछ देर पश्चात जब देवराज का मद उतरा तो उन्हे अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ।

He was born on the 2nd of August 1861 at Jessore, Bengal. He supported freedom fighters, making arrangements for their stay and food in his factories in Bengal. A staunch patriot, he was against British rule and oppression.

He helped freedom fighters in the manufacturing of expl0sives for use against the British.

‘Science can wait, Swaraj cannot’ - Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray. He is called the father of chemical science in India.

He was the founder of India's first pharmaceutical company, Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals. He had written 107 research papers in all branches of Chemistry, authored ‘A History of Hindu Chemistry’,

‘A History of Hindu Chemistry from the Earliest Times to the Middle of the Sixteenth Century’, and more books. For his research in inorganic and organic nitrites, he was addressed as ‘Master of Nitrites’.

🌺Significance of Maha Mrityunjaya Homam and Mantra🌺

In Vedic Shastras it is explained that performing a "Mrityunjaya Homa" is indeed the panacea for any type of disease. The feeding and worship of brahmins as an supportive to all homas is also recommended.


Mrityunjaya mantra gives relief to intermittent and all baneful influences of evil spirits and it even conquers death.

(Mrityunjaya literally means 'victory over death' and maha mrityunjaya mantra is also called maha - moksha mantra, as it gives the ultimate enlightenment)

Severe illness, dangerous abhicharas, madness, fainting and fits and other diseases can all be got rid off by performing mrityunjaya japa for certain numbers as per the need.

Whenever the homa is performed a number of brahmins equal to the number suggested for the homa must be fed and worshipped.

Creating Kerala was doing Tapasya here. But he was disturbed as the land faced turbulence. Parashurama sought Narada’s help, who advised him to pray to Vishnu. Parashurama started praying Maha Vishnu. Finally Maha Vishnu appeared and told to do Prathishta of his Varaha Avatar.


As Earth is saved in Varaha Avatar, this temple is famous to solve land related issues.

Many people conduct Bhoomi puja here, which is very special here. They bring sand from around the temple which is used for pooja and then has to be returned to the same spot 👇

It is also believed that Perumthachan, the legedary craftsman has abandoned his tools here.

STORY OF PURANAS AND SUB PURANA (उप पुराण).

We have already gone through the series on importance & characteristics of all the eighteen Purans. We also know that originally there were hundred crore shlokas but were divided by Vyas in each Kalp and was compiled as eighteen Purans


for the common people to understand it properly and now their total is about four lakhs.

In Brahm Puran, Brahma preached this to Marichi. So this Puran of ten thousand shlokas is called Brahm Puran.

In Padma Puran, the base of the story is the appearance of Brahma on a lotus(Padm) from Vishnu' s navel.This has fifty five thousand shlokas.

Vishnu Puran is primarily based in Varah kalp. This book is on Vishnu and this book has twenty three thousand shlokas.

Vaayu Puran is written in Shwet Kalp and has twenty four thousand shlokas. Here Vayudev preaches about Dharma.

In Bhagwat Puran, which is written with the base of Gayatri mantra describes Dharma extensively. It has 18000 shlokas. It also mentions the story of Vritrasur.

In Narad Puran, which has twenty five thousand shlokas, is a sermon on Dharma by Narad based in Brihad Kalp.

Markandeya Puran has nine thousand shlokas and here it is through the birds that Dharma is described.

Ma Kanakadurgeswari is the supreme Goddess of Andhra Pradesh, seated atop the Indrakilaparvatha at Vijayawada.
This area is called Bezawada as Shiva made a bejjam (hole) in the rocks so that Krishna river could flow freely.


Once, a Rishi Indra Keela prayed to Devi and asked her to reside on his head forever. Devi told him to wait in the form of a mountain in the holy plains of River Krishna.
Later, when Devi killed all demons, she settled on Keeladri as Mahishasura Mardini and fulfilled his wish.


In this place, Arjuna performed penance and fought with Shiva, who had appeared in the guise of Kiratha to win Pasupathastra, the most powerful weapon. So this place is also called phalguna theertha and Vijaywada on account of Arjun’s victory.


Adi Sankaracharya visited this shrine and worshipped the Devi. He installed SRICHAKRAM at the feet of Sri Kanaka Durga.

Adjacent to the Kanakadurga shrine is the shrine of the divine consort-Sri Malleswara Swamy on the Indrakeeladri.

RISHI BHRINGI AND ARDHA-NAREESHWAR SHIVA

Rishi Bhringi was a devoted bhakt of Mahadev. However, in his devotion to Shiva, he ignored Mata Parvati.

Once, he visited Kailasha along with other Rishis. All the Rishis did parikrama of Shiva and Parvati both except Rishi Bhringi.


The same situation continued whenever Rishi Bhringi visited Kailasha. Mata Parvati decided to teach him that Shiva and Parvati are one and inseparable.
So on one such visit, Mata Parvati sat on the left lap of Mahadev when Rishi Bhringi came.


Seeing this, Rishi Bhringi took the form of a bee(some say bird) and did pradakshina/ parikrama only around Shiva’s head and ignored Ma Parvati.
Angered Mata took away the Shakti from his body. Rishi lost his blood and flesh and was left with a bare skeletal form.


Seeing him in such a situation where he was unable to support himself, Shiva granted a third leg to him.
Shiva then fused one half of his body with that of Ma Parvati and appeared as Ardha Nareeshwar.
Rishi Bhringi finally realised that Shiv and Shakti are one and the same.
