It’s really hard to gauge what’s happening on the ground, with no internet service aka other people’s perspectives. You only have your own. Here’s my firsthand account of what happened at the Capitol building last night.
First of all, I’m realizing now my perspective re: Antifa’s involvement was incomplete bc by the time I got to the Capitol, it had already been stormed.
I was farther back in the “storming”. The people around me were angry patriots. Antifa infiltrators must’ve been ahead bc when I got up there the windows were already broken. I stayed behind bc I heard about the woman who was shot and the people who had “adopted” me as part of
their group bc I was alone didn’t want to be near the tear gas (we got separated and I was tear gassed anyway at least 3 times).
Last night and this morning I had been really upset that “our” patriotic actions were being described as “rioting” and other patriots were distancing themselves from it, calling us Antifa.
