Theresa May will make a statement to the House of Commons on Brexit negotiations after 3.30pm today.

Theresa May's spokesman: "The EU continues to insist on the possibility of a customs border down the Irish Sea. This is something the House of Commons has already rejected and is unacceptable to the prime minister."

Asked if Theresa May is still confident of securing a Brexit deal this week, her spokesman replies she is "confident of securing a deal this autumn."
