WHY IS RUDRAKSH SO IMPORTANT IN OUR SANATAN DHARMA?

Rudraksh is the seed of medicinal plant known as Elaeocarpus Ganitrus in scientific terms. It has a great religious significance,used as ayurvedic medicine &taken as a remedy for multiple health concerns.

Rudraksh is a Sanskrit word consisting of the name Rudra (A form of Shiva) and Aksh ( teardrops from eyes), which translates as, 'Teardrops from Lord Shiva's eye's.

The Legend says that Lord Shiva was so hurt and sad due to the unrighteous behaviour of Demon Tarkasur's sons that tears shed from his eyes, taking the shape of a Rudraksh tree.

These fruits are also known as Amritphal ( Fruits of Nectar). The Rudraksh fruit is blue in color and resembles a lot like blueberries, only it turns black on getting dried. The hard seed in the center can have 1 to 21 faces.

There are 38 varieties of Rudraksh that are found primarily in Nepal, India, Indonesia & Sri Lanka. Rudraksh tree is a large evergreen tree, which grows up to 50 to 200 feet and it bears fruit in 3 to 7 years.

WHY DO WE HAVE BELLS IN TEMPLES?

Everything that is used during a Hindu Puja Ritual plays a vital role in healing the body, mind and soul. Today I will tell you about the significance of the temple bells. Did you ever wonder why do we have bells in temples and why are they rung?

Hindu Scripture of Agama Shastra states;
"आगमारथम्तु देवानाम
गमनार्थम्तु राक्षसाम
कुर्वे घन्टारवम तत्रा
देवत: वाहना लक्षणम "
Which translates to,'I ring this bell invoking the Gods &Goddesses,so that noble&virtuous forces enter my house&the evil forces that lay within depart'.

The body of the bell illustrates infinity meaning 'Ananth' in Sanskrit, while the tongue of the Ghanti represents Goddess Saraswati. The bell's handle represents Hanuman, Garuda,Nandi or Chakra and is considered to be the essential life force known as 'Prana Shakti'.

Bell(Ghanta) is indispensable for the Hindu Poojas. A well designed 'Ghanta' that is made as per the procedures mentioned in Agama Shastra when rung produces the Divine sound'OM'which produces positive frequencies and vibrations around the place.

The Temple bell's soothing sound effect is such that the Divine enters u &all demonic forces within ur soul departs. Bells r rung before commencing the Puja, during Aarti,during chanting mantras&verses from the holy scriptures,while waving oil lamps &offering ablation to Deities.

🌺Bhagwan Vishwakarma: The Architect of the Gods.🌺

Vishwakarma or Vishvakarman (Sanskrit: विश्वकर्मा, means 'all maker').He is a craftsman deity and the divine architect of the gods. In the early texts, the craftsman deity was known as 'Tvastar'.

The word 'Vishwakarma' was originally used as an epithet for any powerful deity.
However, in many later traditions, Vishwakarma became the name of the craftsman god.
He is also the presiding god of all engineers, architects, builders, carpenters, and craftsmen.

He is often stated to be the son of Brahma, but it differs in many other texts. In the Nirukta and Brahmanas he is stated to be the son of Bhuvana. In the Mahabharata and Harivansha, he is the son of Vasu Prabhasa and Yoga-siddha. In the Puranas, he is the son of Vastu.

Vishwakarma is the father of three daughters named Barhishmati, Samjna and Chitrangada. In other texts Vishvakarma is presented as the husband of Gritachi. When identified with Tvastar, Vishvakarma is also described to be the father of a son named Vishvarupa.

The term Visvakarman was originally used as an epithet for any supreme god and as an attribute of Indra and the Sun. The name Visvakarman occurs five times in the tenth book of the Rigveda.

THE LEGEND OF THE QUEEN DIDDA OF KASHMIR

Born in 924CE to King Simharaja of Lohara which lies in Pir Panjal range of NorthWest frontier in Kashmir,Didda was physically disabled by birth having a deformed leg.Being a limp,she wasn't loved by the King&was brought up by the maids.

Still she learned sword fighting and horse riding to the best of her ability. Political and Military strategies came to her naturally.
Most knowledge pertaining to her is obtained from the 'Rajatarangini',a literary and historical piece of work written by Kalhana in 12th century.

She is often referred to as Charanhina(footless) in Rajatrangini. Although she could walk but there was a woman named Valga who used to carry her almost everywhere. It is for this woman she later built Valgamath.
She was still unmarried at the age of 26.

In those days,Kashmir was ruled by a king named Kshema Gupta. Known for his addictions of women and gambling,he was looking for political legitimacy of his rule and therefore in 950CE, he offered to marry a not so young and disabled queen, who was the granddaughter of the Shahis.

Princess Didda was the granddaughter of the Hindu Shahi of Kabul named Bhimadev Shahi. Since the princess was very beautiful, Kshema Gupta soon got bewitched by her beauty. He was so mesmerised that he even engraved her name in front of his name on the coins as 'Di-Kshem'.

WHAT THE VYMANIKA SHASTRA TELLS US ABOUT ANCIENT VIMANAS OF INDIA?

On 28 June 1951, the then Maharaja of #Mysuru inaugurated the International #sanskrit Research Centre in Mysuru. CM of Mysuru state CK Reddy was present and GR Josyer was the Director of that research centre.

The guests were shown all the rare collections of #Sanskrit scriptures and literature gathered from various sources. It was an impressive collection but there was one small handwritten notebook which surprised them the most. That book was "Vymanika Shastra of Mahrishi Bhardwaj".

It was a strange title for the guests &nobody heard about it before.The book contained 6000 lines &1000s of Shlokas in Sanskrit.This knowledge was verbatim transferred by Mahrishi Bhardwaj to Subbaraya Shastri through psychic channeling that was what was told to amused audience.

GR Josyer subsequently translated this book in Sanskrit to English.
"Vymanika Shastra" was part of "Yantra Sarvasva". All these works were verbatim recited and dictated by Subbaraya Shastri after he came out of forest and started living in Anekal near #Bengaluru.

Wen his book Vymanika Shastra was raising many eyebrows, Britishers jailed him under pretext of being freedom fighter.Within few mnths of imprisonment he died of long illness.Fortunately some people saved his works safely. When GR Josyer got to know about it he got it translated.

Did Dwarka really exist?

Dr. SR Rao after his careful research made the following statement,"The findings in Dwarika & archaeological evidence found are compatible with the Mahabharat tradition & remove any lingering doubt about the historicity of Mahabharat.We would say that Krishna definitely existed".

The discovery of the legendary city of Dvaraka which is said to have been founded by Sri Krishna, is an important landmark in the validation of historical relevance of Mahabharata.

It has set at rest the doubts expressed by historians about the historicity of Mahabharata and the very existence of Dvaraka city. It has greatly narrowed the gap of Indian history by establishing the continuity of the Indian civilization from the Vedic age to the present day.

For a very long time we had heard that Mahmud Ghazni attacked India from 1001 AD- 1027 AD but DO YOU KNOW ?

It was Maharaja Jayapala of Hindu Shahi Dynasty who decided to invade Ghazni twice.

During the period of 870 CE the Hindu Shahi lost Kabul and were forced to retreat. This temporary loss of the great Hindu Shahi kingdom was the beginning of another chapter in the medieval history of the Indian Sub-continent.

The introduction of the Turk warlords completely changed the mentality and the conduct of war. The establishment of this new Muslim Turk authority in Ghazni completely changed the policy of the Muslims.

Under the Turks,the raids on the Hindu Shahi’s and later on northern India became even more aggressive and lethal. The first Hindu king who faced this wave of the Turks was Jayapala, who fought till his last breath in order to protect his kingdom of people.

The Hindu Shahi after 870 CE transferred their capital to Udabhandapura as they had suffered heavy losses from the war against the Arabs and also from the defeat they suffered from a Turkish leader Yaqub ibn Layth.

RANI ABBAKKA-THE QUEEN IMMORATALIZED AS 'THE GREAT FEARLESS WARRIOR QUEEN' & STILL FORGOTTEN.

The renowned Indian Coast Guard launched ICGS Rani Abbakka in 2009 at Indian Naval Port of Vizag. It commemorated the valour of a brave Queen named Rani Abbakka, who is not much known.

Queen Abbakka carved a niche for herself as 'The Warrior Queen of Ullal'.Rani Abbakka Chowta was the first Tuluva Queen of Ullal(present day Mangalore) and was crowned by her Uncle Tirumala Raya in 1525 as the Chowta's followed a Matrilineal system of Inheritance.

While inheritance was from female line,the ruler was always a male. Since Tirumal Raya didn't have any children,he chose his niece as a legal Heir.She was married to King Lakshmapa Bangaraja in a Political wedlock,due to which they both remained estranged throughout their lives.

Rani Abbakka Chowta was trained to be a good ruler and administrator right from a very young age. Sword fighting, horse riding, archery, military strategies and political diplomacy were the subjects she was very keen in learning and she learned them with perfection.

Most Portugues sources tell us that Rani Abbakka was a great administrator.She was a Jain herself but she never stopped patronising Hindu temples,arts &literature.Her administration consisted of Muslims&Hindus alike. Diversity of her administration&her army was worth appreciation

हनुमानजी के बारे में कई बातें हैं जो बहुत कम लोग जानते हैं।

1.हनुमानजी का जन्मस्थान

कर्नाटक के कोपल जिले में स्थित हम्पी के निकट बसे हुए ग्राम अनेगुंदी को रामायणकालीन किष्किंधा मानते हैं।

किष्किन्धा हनुमान मन्दिर

तुंगभद्रा नदी को पार करने पर अनेगुंदी जाते समय मार्ग में पंपा सरोवर आता है। यहां स्थित एक पर्वत में शबरी गुफा है जिसके निकट शबरी के गुरु मातंग ऋषि के नाम पर प्रसिद्ध 'मातंगवन' था। हम्पी में ऋष्यमूक के राम मंदिर के पास स्थित पहाड़ी आज भी मातंग पर्वत के नाम से जानी जाती है।

मातंग ऋषी के आश्रम में ही हनुमानजी का जन्म हुआ था। श्रीराम के जन्म के पूर्व हनुमानजी का जन्म हुआ था। प्रभु श्रीराम का जन्म 5114 ईसा पूर्व अयोध्या में हुआ था। हनुमान का जन्म चैत्र मास की शुक्ल पूर्णिमा के दिन हुआ था।

2. कल्प के अंत तक सशरीर रहेंगे हनुमानजी :
इंद्र से उन्हें इच्छामृत्यु का वरदान मिला। श्रीराम के वरदान अनुसार कल्पांत होने पर उन्हें सायुज्य की प्राप्ति होगी।सीता माता के वरदान अनुसार वे चिरंजीवी रहेंगे। इसी वरदान के चलते द्वापर युग में हनुमानजी भीम व अर्जुन की परीक्षा लेते हैं।

कलियुग में वे तुलसीदासजी को दर्शन देते हैं। ये वचन हनुमानजी ने ही तुलसीदासजी से कहे थे -

'चित्रकूट के घाट पै, भई संतन के भीर ।
तुलसीदास चंदन घिसै, तिलक देत रघुबीर ।।'
श्रीमद् भागवत अनुसार हनुमानजी
कलियुग में गंधमादन पर्वत पर निवास करते हैं।

THE LEGEND OF NAAK KAATI RANI:QUEEN KARNAVATI OF #GARHWAL
The story of Queen #Karnavati is another gem burried deep in the history which couldn't find its place in the modern #History textbooks.

(Geeta 4:13)
This Geeta verse is very important, not only from spiritual perspective but also..

The verse also has its own social significance.

Let's comprehend. The word Varna is made of root word 'Var' which has many meanings-to choose, to demand, to desire etc. It is evident from this that the word Varna means,"to choose the desired work or thing". To assimilate Varna with caste is utterly irrational &sheer ignorance.

Above shloka translates to,
'Segregating the deeds based on properties, I composed four varna, ie 4 types of karma, with a freedom to choose are composed by me.' It's very important to note here that the division of Karma is based on qualities &there is a freedom to choose yours.

Hence, the word varna cannot be associated with caste as it's not based on birth rather its based on the Karma and there is also the option to choose your karma. Brahmin, kshatriyas,vaishya & shudras, these all words are qualitative nouns.

🌺आचमन क्या है और इसे तीन बार ही क्यों किया जाता है ?🌺

पूजा, यज्ञ आदि आरंभ करने से पूर्व शुद्धि के लिए मंत्र पढ़ते हुए जल पीना ही आचमन कहलाता है। इससे मन और हृदय की शुद्धि होती है।

धर्मग्रंथों में तीन बार आचमन करने के संबंध में कहा गया है।

प्रथमं यत् पिवति तेन ऋग्वेद प्रीणाति। यद् द्वितीयं तेन यजुर्वेदं प्रीणाति यद् तृतीयं तेन सामवेदं प्रीणाति॥

अर्थात् तीन बार आचमन करने से तीनों वेद यानी-ऋग्वेद,यजुर्वेद,सामवेद प्रसन्न होकर सभी मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण करते हैं।
मनु महाराज के मतानुसार
त्रिराचामेदपः पूर्वम्।
-मनुस्मृति2/60

अर्थात् सबसे पहले तीन बार आचमन करना चाहिए। इससे कंठशोषण दूर होकर, कफ़ निवृत्ति के कारण श्वसन क्रिया में व मंत्रोच्चारण में शुद्धता आती है। इसीलिए प्रत्येक धार्मिक कृत्य के शुरू में और संध्योपासन के मध्य बीच-बीच में अनेक बार तीन की संख्या में आचमन का विधान बनाया गया है।

इसके अलावा यह भी माना जाता है कि इससे कायिक, मानसिक और वाचिक तीनों प्रकार के पापों की निवृत्ति होकर न दिखने वाले फल की प्राप्ति होती है।

अंगूठे के मूल में ब्रह्मतीर्थ, कनिष्ठा के मूल प्रजापत्यतीर्थ, अंगुलियों के अग्रभाग में देवतीर्थ, तर्जनी और अंगूठे के बीच पितृतीर्थ और

हाथ के मध्य भाग में सौम्यतीर्थ होता है, जो देवकर्म में प्रशस्त माना गया है। आचमन हमेशा ब्रह्मतीर्थ से करना चाहिए। आचमन करने से पहले अंगुलियां मिलाकर एकाग्रचित्त यानी एकसाथ करके पवित्र जल से बिना शब्द किए 3 बार आचमन करने से महान फल मिलता है। आचमन हमेशा 3 बार करना चाहिए।

MAHATMA GANDHI IS NOT THE FATHER OF MY NATION

I agree that a Mahatma got us our freedom, but his name was Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, not Mohandas Gandhi.
Very early in the childhood of each child of Bharat, it is taught that there is no better Mahatma than Gandhi.

Kids are brainwashed with an image of Gandhi that is far from reality.

An old weak saint walking with a stick,who drove the mighty British away,with his so called weapon of Ahimsa.I mean, really ??

In the centre of Pic is the first Prime Minister of India that we never had.

If that's the case then the freedom fighters like Subhash Bose, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azaad, Lala Lajpat Rai, Sukhdev and many more died for nothing.
There deaths were all just a waste. Anyone who believes this today is a fool of highest order.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa leans at 4 degrees, which is less in comparison to the 9 degree tilt of the Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple. Yet, this Leaning Temple of Varanasi has been lost in anonymity and not known in the world as widely as Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Forget the world, it's not even known in India. This is called the Peak of Hypocrisy.

Ratneshwar temple near Manikarnika Ghat, is also called Kashi Karvat. It means a temple in Kashi, which leans ( karvat) to one side.

The story behind its tilted nature is quite interesting.

There is a legend surrounding the origin of this temple, which states that it was built by a certain servant of Raja Man Singh for his mother, named Ratna Bai. Once the temple was built, the man proudly declared that he had paid the debt to his mother.

Much to his shock, as soon as these words escaped his lips, the temple started tilting backwards (north-west) to show that the debt to one’s mother can never be paid. The sanctum sanctorum of this shrine remains under Ganga water for most of the year.

Reportedly,Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple has a higher tilt than Italy’s famous Leaning Tower of Pisa built in1173. As the story behind the tilted nature of this Italian monument goes,the ground to its one side had started sinking under the weight of the stones after its construction.

Nagulapahad Village in Nalgonda distt of Telangana region is famous for many ancient temples. The village is surrounded by Suryapet and Chivvemla Manda in North,Nereducherla Mandal in South and Munagala Mandal in East.

Two famous temples located in Nagulapahad are Trilingeshwara Aalayam and Veerbhadreshwara Aalayam. These temples were built during the reign of Kakatiya Kings. Kakatiya Kings used their signature style of using black stone to carve beautiful statues in the temple.

Trilingeshwara Alayam and Veerbhadreshwara Alayam resemble strongly in architectural style with the Pillalamarri Temple in Suryapet and Thousand Pillars Temple of Hanamkonda in Warangal distt, as all these temples were built during Kakatiya Period.

Thousand Pillars Temple stands out to be an architectural masterpiece built by the Kakatiyas.Temple was designed by the sculptors from Kakatiyan dynasty and it depicts Chalukyan style architecture. Temple resembles the shape of a star&the pillars have intricate carvings on them.

Built in the 12th century , the temple has 3 shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva,Vishnu and Surya.
Pillamarri Temple of Suryapet in Telangana has a history of 1000 years and is one of the oldest temples if Nalgonda Distt of Telangana State.

SRI YANTRA & ITS SIGNIFICANCE
According to ancient Hindu Scriptures,the Sri Yantra is the symbol of Hindu Tantra,which is based on Hindu philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism.Sri Yantra is the object of devotion in Sri Vidya.
Few of the important Yantras r Ganesh,Meru,Saraswati Yantra.

A Yantra in the Hindu tradition is, literally a device for spiritual advancement.The Sri Yantra is, in fact, the central object of worship in at least one important Hindu cult, but beyond its specific context,the Sri Yantra embodies profound philosophical understandings.

That makes it a powerful source of inspiration.Each design element of the Sri Yantra has special philosophical significance.The dot in the very center is representative of the Source of the universe; this dot,or bindu,is the "singularity" from which all manifest reality emerges.

From one point of view, the design is representative of the evolution of the universe itself from its mysterious beginnings, charting its many levels.
The Sri Yantra in its central portion contains nine triangles.

Four of them point upward &represent unmanifest power of the universe;all that is beyond our sense perceptions.They r thought of as being masculine &represent masculine aspect of divinity. Five downward-pointing triangles represent divine feminine &manifest aspects of the world.

In the Hindu way of life, this prayer is adopted while sitting on the bed at the time of waking up in the morning:

कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मिः करमध्ये सरस्वति।
करमूले तु गोविन्दः प्रभाते करदर्शनम् ॥

And how many Hindus really follow this ?

The meaning is very simple: knowledge, power and wealth depend on the work with your hand.

कराग्रे = in the front of the hand i.e. fingers; वसते = lives;

लक्ष्मी = the divinity of prosperity (material and spiritual) [from the word lakShya = goal];

कर-मध्ये सरस्वती = in the middle of the palm; lives the divinity of learning, knowledge;

कर-मूले तू गोविंद: = in the wrist lives the universal guide of righteousness - Krishna.

प्रभाते कर दर्शनम = Every morning ones should looked at all these divine personalities...

...so that with them in your hand thus; you will enlightened day ahead.

For making us sit for some more time the second part of the prayer is added:

समुद्र वसने देवी पर्वत: स्थाना मंडले,
विष्णु पत्नी: नमस्तुभ्यम,
पादा स्पर्शम क्षमास्वमे।।🌺

The meaning is very simple: Oh ! Mother earth, where the mountains are part of your body and you are the wife of Prabhu Mahavishnu, May I perform my pranam to you?

Bhaskaracharya's daughter Lilavati was one of the first eminent women mathematicians of India.

Bhaskaracharya was one of the best mathematicians on the face of earth. He had profound knowledge in the field of mathematics and astrology.

He lived with his wife on the banks of a beautiful lotus pond somewhere in South India, in a region which is believed to be to the South of Bombay (now Mumbai). Bhaskara's wife delivered a baby girl who came to be known as Lilavati. Lilavati was a very beautiful child.

She was both intelligent and good looking which was a rare combination.
Bhaskara was apprehensive about his daughter's inquisitiveness and curiosity. The little girl asked her father many questions and gained a lot of knowledge this way.

As she grew up, Bhaskara decided to get Lilavati married. In the process, Bhaskara perused Lilavati's horoscope. He was shocked when he found out that Lilavati would not have a happy married life if she did not get married at a particular auspicious time.

He did not tell Lilavati about this, as he despised hurting his daughter. He made all arrangements to make sure that Lilavati would get married at the auspicious time.
