Das Problem ist auch, dass diese Männer so einen vielfach und sofort widerlegbaren frauenfeindlichen Müll ohne die geringste Anstrengung publizieren dürfen. Sie müssen dafür nichts wissen. Es reicht, eine Aufzählung von gefühlten Wahrheiten abzugeben. Dafür gibt es dann Cash.

Es ist hingegen quasi unmöglich, einen mit Daten und Fakten und Analysen und Zitaten und Beobachtungen aus der eigenen Lebensrealität aufbereiteten feministischen Kommentar in einer solchen Zeitung unterzubringen. Wir müssen alles genau belegen können.

Das ist nicht schlimm. Es ist immer wieder spannend. Es gibt hier nur eine extreme Diskrepanz zwischen dem, was Frauen liefern müssen und dem, was Männer liefern müssen. Alles und nichts. Nur so als Denkanstoß.

here's the thing: rejection is the worst but *self-rejection* is the kiss of death in publishing. it is a beast only you can slay and banish and it’ll keep creeping up on you and tempting you to give up when things seem hopeless, and it is *on you* to tell it to shut the hell up.

realistic mitigating financial/systemic/personal setbacks aside, you are probably not where you are in your publishing journey in large part because self-rejection is an obstacle you haven’t quite learned to overcome yet, and it is imperative that, well, you figure out how to.

find a way to shut out those thoughts that maybe this is it, maybe you should give up. we all have these thoughts, trust me, i do, too. anyone who says they don’t ever feel this way, at any level of the game, is being laughably disingenuous.

do what you need to do to recalibrate: review and celebrate your progress thus far, call that friend who will give you *the talk* asap, refocus on your goals and adjust them for changing circumstance if need be, but *don’t let yourself get in your own way.*

it's so hard, i get it. but it won’t happen without a strong support system and a certain pigheadedness about your own talent, or how right your instincts are about deserving to be published, or how fantastic and worthy the books you’re pushing out on behalf of others are.

After one full year, I'm officially free of credit card debt! 💳

So last year I realized I was in a horrible financial situation 😞

I had to sat down and made a REAL budget 💪

One year 👉 Paid off total of $24,705!! 😱

How I did it 👇

2/ First off, I want to talk about embarrassment. Nobody talks about their financials, unless of course, they are great! So I NEVER hear about other ppl in credit card debt.

This has made me feel like I'm a failure or that I can't even manage basic financials...

3/ So I hope this helps others out there feeling the same way.

Maybe it's how I was raised (my parents aren't great either with it) but I consider myself pretty savvy.

4/ How I got in this situation?

Living in places like SF and NY and never saving, living basically paycheck to paycheck. Then I did a coding boot camp and funded most of it off credit cards. Then I moved to NY.

Spending on my CC and thinking I'll figure it out later.

5/ Going on expensive trips with friends and funding it off my CC. Having friends that don't have to focus too much on budgeting (parents help them) and keeping up with their lifestyle.

1/ The #Tesla Model 3 is one of the most efficient #EV on a range/kWh basis, followed closely by the Bolt. Meanwhile the “Tesla Killers” lag significantly.

2/ “But they’re different types of cars so they aren’t comparable!” That’s why we put them into our physics based model that simulates EPA range to separate out form factor from battery/drivetrain efficiency.

3/ Even accounting for the fact that the Jaguar iPace is an SUV, it’s far less efficient than the Model 3.

4/ Which means Tesla should be able produce a car of a given range (or at least the drivetrain) for cheaper than its competitors. (This doesn't even take into account that Tesla is likely making batteries for less than its competitors).

5/ Why is the Bolt so efficient? Perhaps it sacrifices performance to achieve it. Either way the “Tesla Killers” look like they’re throwing everything out the window to try & match Tesla performance.

Too often startups focus on product alone and forget about the importance of a well planned and executed GTM. Products are easy to build and deploy, which means anything that’s working will ultimately get copied.

Low-end competitors will cherry pick key features and launch light-weight versions of your product. In this case, you cannot compete on price or feature set alone.

B2B products ultimately compete with suites. File storage is a great example of this. Suites still win the CIO vote for company-wide usage. In this case, you're fighting to "land" within an organization and "expand" for more seats and additional departments.

Consumer platforms can easily copy, and ultimately kill, good consumer products. While the majority of these copycats are experimental in nature, the launch of Instagram Stories proves platforms have a massive distribution advantage.

\3 Shortly after his purchase, Bob experienced the brutal bear market of 1973-74 where stocks declined by 50%. Bob didn’t sell his stocks, but he decided to wait before investing any more of his savings going forward.

\4 After nearly a decade and a half of saving money, Bob felt comfortable again to buy stocks. So, in August 1987, he invested $46,000 (his additional savings since 1972) in the market.


However, in October 1987 the market crashed, down ~30% from its high.
