#Nifty near its weekly 108ema {15300) last time that was tested was back in Sept 2020 which then led to a very strong rally. For now, lets see if it holds and gives a bounce (reversal can be reviewed later)

Monthly 34ema is at 14600, if the weekly support fails to hold then this becomes the next major and super one to start aggressive buying near it

The immediate resistance is at daily 13ema currently at 16000 (will dip down). Only if Nifty breaks and sustains above it will I consider a bottom done, else will treat it just like a bounce in case it turns before testing the Monthly 34ema

There are key price levels like

- previous day/week/month highs or lows
- round number levels

where you can have 1:5 or more worth RR of trades if you place yourself right.

The key is to hit the crest of the wave, just at the right moment.

If it doesn't work out, you have to get out.

Doing this, you can make several hundred points, risking 1/3rd to 1/5th of what you make.

3/ The secret to getting efficient at trading:

Cut down the number of trades you make.

11 Excel Formulas To Increase Your Productivity:

1. XLOOKUP

Use the XLOOKUP function to find things in a table or range by row.

This is an upgrade compare to VLOOKUP.

I'm looking for revenue of a given product for multiple years. Unlike VLOOKUP, adding a column won't break the formula.

The formula: =XLOOKUP(A11,A2:A8,B2:H8)

2.LAMBDA

Use a LAMBDA function to create custom, reusable functions and call them by a friendly name.

This is a powerful function to create your own calculations.

In our case, we wanted to calculate the income after deducting tax.

The formula: = LAMBDA(x,y,x*(1-y))

3. CONCATENATE

Use this function to join two or more text strings into one string.

I'm trying to combine the first name and last name in one cell.

Don't forget the “ ” and the space in the middle if it to separate the two texts.

The formula: =CONCATENATE (A2,“ ”,B2)

4. COUNTIF

Use COUNTIF to count the number of cells that meet a criterion.

I'm counting the numbers of times these companies have been the best companies in different years.

The formula:=COUNTIF(A2:B22,A25)

Has been mimicking closely the Nifty chart, so we can say that #Bajajfinserv can indicate what direction market can take from here.

RSI going in same direction as price but MFI showing positive divergence.

1/ There are 3 stages of a bear market.

We just entered stage 2 🧵

2/ Stage 1: The Unwind

The excitement (and greed) from the bull market still exists.

Mini-narratives pop up for weeks at a time. Assets still have floors. Valuations are cut but companies don't make the tough decisions (kill products, layoffs).

Things seem alright.

3/ Stage 1 doesn't *feel* like a bear market.

It feels like prices have pulled back to "realistic" valuations.

Investors continue allocating, builders keep building...

In general, life is good. Only the weak hands sell.

4/ Stage 2: Forced Capitulation

This is where it gets ugly.

Narratives die. Prices fall 90%... then another 90%. Layoffs across the board.

Mainstream media and cynics rise up in Stage 2. They laugh and shout "I told you!"

5/ Luna sent us into Stage 2.

In Stage 2, diamond hands become forced sellers. They sell not because they want to, but because they have to.

HOW TO DO SHORT STRANGLES TO MAKE 1% WEEKLY INCOME CONSISTENTLY?

I've made majority of my money by short strangles and I'll explain one very easy short strangle strategy which you guys can follow.

1: What days it should be done?

It has to be done on Monday to thursday.

You can skip Fridays as there's negligible decay and big delta moves.

2: Preferred Instrument:

Banknifty will be the preferred instrument, since it's high risk and high reward.

Moreover it has good premiums.

3: Criteria:

It has to be done when Banknifty is inside a range on the 15 min chart.

As we can see here, it was June 6th Monday and Banknifty was in a perfect range, which makes it ideal for short strangles.

4: Positon sizing:

Although we'll hedge our positions but you strictly don't have to use the margin benefit which you will receive.

Ideal qty which be 6 lots on each side on a 10L rs capital and 3 lots on 5L capital

Back-testing of some candlestick patterns 🧵

I hv back-tested patterns shown below on 500 stocks (Nifty 500 stock group as on today) since inception on daily timeframe charts.

Below is some interesting information.

I was doing to design multi-chart setups. But the information in the thread can be useful for people practicing candlestick chart patterns. There are many patterns & we keep coming across more. The data can give you a rough idea about the past performance of patterns.

Patterns are defined based on the popular rules of identifying them. I have also tested bearish patterns for bullish trades and vice versa (Contra approach).

Criteria: Hit ratio & returns of pattern giving 1:1 risk-reward if the entry is at the closing price of the pattern.

Some top bullish patterns have below hit ratio:

Inverted Hammer or Shooting Star – 74.72%
Multi-Harami breakout - 65.23%
Bullish Harami cross – 64.6%
Bullish Kicker – 63.53% (Got better returns)
Bullish separating line – 61.69% (It has got better returns)

Doji breakout hit ratio is decent (63.71%) but occurrences are v high so need more confirmation.

Engulfing and Harami patterns have got better returns when traded at next candle of confirmation.

A structure break is simply when price breaks a pivot high/low

But there are a few rules that help determine if that break is a real BOS

Because the opposite of a BOS is a stop hunt

Let's first go over what a stop hunt is.

A stop hunt is when price takes out a pivot and immediately reverses.

Here's an example on $NQ

Stop hunts are typically wicks and result in a strong move in the opposite direction

A break of structure is simply the opposite

And can be comprised of 2 different rules:

1. Continuation

After price breaks a pivot, look for continuation in that direction

You'll also want to see price stay above the pivot line
