Yes! And the more I learn about the medical system the less I want to interact with it!

Lame disclaimers:
1) not medical advice (I am a guy on the internet lol)
2) "don't go to the doctor" doesn't literally mean to never ever see a doctor under any circumstance. There are good ones and sometimes you need them. But as you'll see, you should be quite careful about it

I'm gonna break this down into roughly four sections:
1) General effectiveness (and risks) of medical intervention
2) Declining standards in medical education
3) Physician Conflict of Interest
4) What you should do

Part I: Effectiveness and Risks

In this section we're going to ask two questions:

1) When a doctor does something for their patients, is it usually helpful?
2) Do doctors harm their patients?

The answer to 1 is "sometimes", and the answer to 2 is "often"

The most important concept to understand in this section is that of "medical reversal". Medical reversal is when a treatment (a drug, surgery, anything) gets widely rolled out into medical practice, only to be shown to be either ineffective or harmful later.

According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension.

You need IQ to solve maths, memorize things, and recall lessons.

A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma.

Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm:

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.

If you want to win an argument, don't make these mistakes:

First things first: The best way to win an argument is to not enter one in the first place.

However, we don't always have that luxury and can sometimes find ourselves needing to defend a point of view.

If this happens, here are 15 logical fallacies to avoid:

Anecdotal (vs. Empirical Evidence)

Using a personal experience or an isolated example to try and prove a point instead of empirical or more compelling evidence.

Humans tend to believe and relate to stories, but don't fall into this trap.

What's true for you isn't always true.

Likely or Plausible Fallacy

Likely: Incorrectly assuming that just because something is possible means that it is likely.

Plausible: Incorrectly assuming that just because something is plausible means that it is true.

Begging The Question

Involves presenting a circular argument where the conclusion is included in the premise.

Examples:

1/ "Of course smoking causes cancer. The smoke from cigarettes is a carcinogen."

2/ "Circular reasoning is bad mostly because it's not very good."

Grocery stores are loaded with products that brag about their seemingly beneficial qualities.

Most people WANT to eat healthy, but aren’t informed to see past deceptive marketing.

In this thread, I’ll go through what these titles mean, and how to determine what is worth buying

The first, and maybe most common product label is “all natural”.

The FDA says that natural means no added colors, artificial flavors or synthetic substances.

However, there is ZERO formal regulation from them. That means it’s up to to take the food manufacturers’ word for it.

Items can still contain high fructose corn syrup, seed oils, antibiotics, GMO’s, etc and still be labeled natural.

Therefore, the term is pretty much meaningless.

The next label that most people take into consideration is “organic”.

In order to be considered organic, food do adhere to pretty strict regulations. However, that doesn’t necessarily make it healthy.

The Ayurveda clock shows each active dosha at its respective time and what activities we should do to best serve our mind, body & soul so we can adapt to our natural rhythm, offering us energy, vitality, rest and rejuvenation at appropriate times.

The Ayurveda clock is divided into six 4 hr cycles, three of which occur during the day and three during the night.

6 am- 10am- KAPHA time:

This is the best time for exercise as physical strength is great during these hours. Kapha is the most stable and grounding dosha.

If we do our exercise routine during the morning Kapha hours, we have the best chance of developing an enduring habit. If you feel lazy and difficult to get out of bed, then Kapha dosha is the culprit here. So, try getting up before 6am to avoid feeling sluggish.

10am - 2pm- PITTA time:

Pitta dosha governs digestion and appetite. Our Agni is strongest during these hours. So, eat your largest meal of the day during this time. The Pitta energy aids our ability to concentrate. We are most focused and alert during the Pitta times of the day.

Vedic Yajnas Srauta yajnas or sacred ones.

Paka Yajnas — ordinary rituals done easily as a basic duty

Havir Yajnas — occasional rituals done with some effort for attaining various things

Soma Yajnas — rare rituals with high levels of complexity done for world happiness

Each of these 3 classes have 7 types of Yajnas.

Paka Yajnas — offering of food made through the year at home. Agrahayani and Sravani are the key models on which others are based on.

Pitru Sraddam — done to honour ancestors every year

Parvana Sradda — performed for

the ancestors every month

Ashtaka — performed on the 8th day after full moon during the winter months for fathers
Sravani — every night from the fullmoon of Sravana month to the Margasirisa month there is a sarpabali (offering to the snakes) done to ward off harm from snakes

Agrahayani — offering of kheer/payasam during the full moon of Margasirisa month

Chaitri — it is an offering made to Shiva where 4 roads meet during the fullmoon of Chaitra

Ashvayujih — simple food offering made to Shiva during the month of Ashvini

The lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) is an ancient and polyvalent symbol in Asian culture. Hindus revere it with God Vishnu, Brahma and to a lesser degree Kubera, and the Goddesses Lakshmi and Saraswati.

Often used as an example of divine beauty and purity. Vishnu is often described as the "Lotus-Eyed One". It is believed that a lotus sprang from the navel of Vishnu while he was in Yoga Nidra. The lotus then bloomed uncovering the creator God Brahma in a lotus position.

Its unfolding petals signify the expansion of the soul. The growth of its pure beauty from the mud of its origin holds a benign spiritual promise. Particularly Brahma and Lakshmi, the divinities of potency and wealth, have the lotus symbol associated with them.

The lotus flower is one of the Ashtamangala of Buddhism, symbolic of creation and cosmic renewal and "primordial purity" and shares in the chakra and mandala symbolism of the Dharma chakra, is also cited extensively within the Puranas and Vedas, for example:
