No, a 30 minute convo with your buddy won't teach you more.
-Nike convinced the world that everyone is an athlete
-Apple convinced the world that everyone is a creator
-Shopify is convincing the world that everyone is an entrepreneur
Champion customers and they will reward you
People are passionate about things they are good at. Get really good at something, and you will become passionate at it.
Then you will make enough money to follow your original passion in your free time.
There is also no industry harder to get to a 10 figure valuation than digital media.
Understand your industry and plan accordingly.
- Work hard
- Befriend likeminded people
- Learn faster than others
If you do that, you will get lucky at some point.
Their entire job should be to tell the story of the founding team.
No one cares about a SaaS business in the early days, but people love passionate entrepreneurs.
If you get people to love you, they will love your business.
People do get fatigued with average content
There is more amazing content available than ever before and it can reach people easier than ever
If you think subscription fatigue is why people aren't reading your content, think again
Answer 2 questions:
1. What are my business goals?
2. What am I optimizing for personally?
Only once you know the answer to those 2 questions can you decide what funding source is right for you.

Every single time I set foot in every store/restaurant/place of business in Latin America. Only if they are not completely ignoring me from jump. Or following me bc obviously I came to carry out my plans to rob a store that is approximately 2 sq ft. big.
The part that’s also relevant is I’m oftentimes viewed as respectable-negro adjacent in the dominant culture imaginary. So what of those who are never identified as such? I always think about that. I get surveyed & harassed bad...yet and still there’s levels to the profiling.
When I have to do errands in Panama City, I make sure to apply makeup, perfume, an outfit with cleavage, or booty emphasis, heels and an “expensive” purse. There are STARK differences in the service and treatment I get when I do this vs. when I don’t. STARK. Pero, *STARK.*
LatinAmerica is psychotic in identifying who has money and who doesn’t based on how they are dressed, and how they imagine, carrying themselves. An “elegantly dressed” Black person will face less violence on an errand-run versus one who isn’t. This isn’t absolute so sit down plis
And then the times when I am dressed super-revealing. All of the help and care in the world from male workers. The same white mestizo men who would ordinarily follow me to “prevent theft” are happily helping me find things. Again, race, color, gender, class and more.
