Alright, here's some content you didn't sign up for.

Here's are the top 20 EDM tracks of 2020. (as judged by me, an old white dude who drives a minivan)

#20 - Chameleon - Mako, Lliam Taylor, Latroit

Smooth and seductive vocals with some impressive surprises. Head nodding beats. This track is at home in the club or at the beach.

Davido’s A Better Time is good but not a Quality album.

A SHORT THREAD.

Man didn’t need to drop an album this year, A Good time was still doing good numbers and records! IMO, he should have just skipped this year. But he most likely felt pressured by his contemporaries and went all in.

The album is big, 219m streams in one month is crazy! No Artiste that dropped and Album this year was able to do that.

But is it great? No.

Is this Davido’s best? No.

The production? Sounds rushed.

The A&R(on features)was good, but not spectacular. They could have

taken more time in selecting the artistes to be featured on the album.

For example you have a huge song with Chris brown already, a song that peaked #3 on Billboard World digital Songs, why does he have to be on the album again?
(Nicki minaj was a great choice btw)

Still on A&R

the album is filled up with common artistes. We’ve listened to these guys many times, we know what they can do on a track already, give us something new! It’s a body of work, not a single, scout!!
And why is Mayorkun on 2 songs?

That’s why I like the fact that

Interesting little known fact: many Christmas songs were composed by Jews.

(I’m dreaming of a) White Christmas was written by Isidore Beilin (Irving Berlin) which broke all records in 1942 as the first great Christmas hit.

In fact Jews wrote or co-wrote many such hits.
1/11

Jews don’t do the Christian Christmas thing. We do our own, Jewish thing - even if we are not religious. Chanukah time of year.
But we love a party. This phenomenon represents the desire to join in the fun w/out compromising, most of these songs don’t mention religious stuff.2/11

Sammy Cahn (Samuel Cohen) and Jule Steyn (Julius Stein) both child immigrants to the USA wrote Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow! in 1945, during a Californian heatwave. Covered by many artists including Sinatra, Carly Simon and Rod

Johnny Marks is perhaps the most prolific Jewish composer of Christmas songs, including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Rocking Around the Christmas tree.
It was prompted by a children’s story written by his (Jewish) bro in law Robert May!

Mel Tormé (Torma) & Robert Wells wrote The Christmas Song (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire), also in 1945 during the same heatwave, but in Chicago, initially w Wells trying to keep cool.
Recorded first by renowned African American Nat King

Remember last year when the #CancelCulture was offended by "Baby It's Cold Outside"?

What you might not know.

First, you are completely ignoring the fact that the song is 74 years old--when women were ladies and men were gentlemen.

Her "protest" was typical of a way a lady would speak to a man instead of just downing some drinks and hopping into bed with him.

No one seems offended by that, but you hear that shit on the radio ALL YEAR LONG!

Men actually had to court women back in those days, a subtle dance that for both men and women no longer exists. Sad but true.

Secondly, "what's in this drink?" does not imply that she was roofied, or at least it didn't in 1944. Get a grip.

She's obviously deflecting her indecision toward her drink, which again, came with the times. She was not being drugged.
(Should we stop watching The Wizard of Oz because when they fall asleep in the poppy fields that means Dorothy is on heroin?)

Moreover, what are you worried is going to happen?? That people will hear this song, completely misinterpret the lyrics (as you obviously have) and then decide to go date rape someone?

Or maybe you're worried about your children and what they will think when they hear it?
