What does State Sponsored Genocide on ethnic #Amharas and #Agaws in Metekel Zone in BSG look like?
Representatives of ethnic #Amhara residents in Metekel have travelled to #BahirDar to raise the ff grievances:

Ato Ayal Engide

“In April 2011,Ethiopian Calendar(1/)

[two years ago], right after Ethiopian Easter, they(ethnic Amharas and Agaws) were forcibly chased out of the rural parts, before they could even finish their Easter celebrations. When we knew we were next, then those of us who were in the urban areas, ended up moving to (2/)
Amhara Region. In May, there was a reconciliation between Mandura Woreda in BSG and Guanga Woreda in Amhara RS. All of us that were displaced believed that this was a true reconciliation and moved back to BSG. But those from the rural parts were still not allowed to go back. (3)
“Targetted killings of ethnic #Amharas and #Agaws has been happening for a while now. But recently, it has been out of control. For example, three brothers who were my neighbors were killed in 2011. Their names were Habte, Ayalew and Yeshewas and are all buried together. (4/)
After the reconciliation, the BSG administration started bothering us again. 12 families were killed in Banjimago. We can tell you by name who are doing these killings and it’s the Zonal administration. (5/)
"Mothers are being slaughtered…and fathers and mothers are being forced to watch their kids get thrown up and come back down to land on concrete and die. After they killed a man, they chopped off his arm when they were not able to simply take off the gold ring he was wearing."
There was a gumuz girl that was found hanging by a church. No one knows how she died. But they said it’s because you built your church here that our girl died. They came into our neighborhood and started chasing our farmers and mothers.
"...They killed a mother of 10 that was holding her newborn. She tried to run but she wasn't able to. They killed the mother and her baby using a hammer and a knife. This was the beginning to everything. We could not even enjoy our Easter celebration....."(8/)
"In June, Worku Aregaw, who worked as a teacher for 40 years, taught many Gumuz students. If there was any competition, he would give his gumuz students a priority. He taught many of today’s regional gumuz leaders. As the gumuz were attacking two farmers, "(9/)
he got in the middle to stop the attacks. As the two farmers got away, they(attackers) chased him and killed him as he was pleading with them. He is well known in the community…I lost four of my neighbors. Everyone left at the time.Everyone except the pets left."(10/)
“In Albasat in Bulen Woreda, they killed 80 innocent people. 7 to 8 people from one family were killed. The killings were so brutal and horrific. This is something we can never forget. It is etched not only in our memories but also our newborns.“(11/)

Once upon a time there was a Raja named Uttānapāda born of Svayambhuva Manu,1st man on earth. He had 2 beautiful wives - Suniti & Suruchi & two sons were born of them Dhruva & Uttama respectively.

Now Suniti was the daughter of a tribal chief while Suruchi was the daughter of a rich king. Hence Suruchi was always favored the most by Raja while Suniti was ignored. But while Suniti was gentle & kind hearted by nature Suruchi was venomous inside.

The story is of a time when ideally the eldest son of the king becomes the heir to the throne. Hence the sinhasan of the Raja belonged to Dhruva. This is why Suruchi who was the 2nd wife nourished poison in her heart for Dhruva as she knew her son will never get the throne.

One day when Dhruva was just 5 years old he went on to sit on his father's lap. Suruchi, the jealous queen, got enraged and shoved him away from Raja as she never wanted Raja to shower Dhruva with his fatherly affection.

Dhruva protested questioning his step mother "why can't i sit on my own father's lap?" A furious Suruchi berated him saying "only God can allow him that privilege. Go ask him"
So the cryptocurrency industry has basically two products, one which is relatively benign and doesn't have product market fit, and one which is malignant and does. The industry has a weird superposition of understanding this fact and (strategically?) not understanding it.

The benign product is sovereign programmable money, which is historically a niche interest of folks with a relatively clustered set of beliefs about the state, the literary merit of Snow Crash, and the utility of gold to the modern economy.

This product has narrow appeal and, accordingly, is worth about as much as everything else on a 486 sitting in someone's basement is worth.

The other product is investment scams, which have approximately the best product market fit of anything produced by humans. In no age, in no country, in no city, at no level of sophistication do people consistently say "Actually I would prefer not to get money for nothing."

This product needs the exchanges like they need oxygen, because the value of it is directly tied to having payment rails to move real currency into the ecosystem and some jurisdictional and regulatory legerdemain to stay one step ahead of the banhammer.
