Iraqis dancing in the streets following news that Soleimani is no more.

One year ago today, the U.S. military took out #Iran’s IRGC Quds Force chief Qassem Soleimani, the world’s No. 1 terrorist.
Don't listen to MSM. He was a ruthless killer loathed by people in Iran & across the Mid-East.
Please watch to the
A family in #Iran danced in their home after hearing about the “terrorist Soleimani's” death while chanting “Death to the Dictator,” in reference to @Khamenei_ir.
Persian notes from inside Iran:
"We had a really joyous day after a very long time"
"Thank you, dear Trump"
"Long live Trump"
"Hats off to you, President Trump - From the people of Iran"

Locals in northern #Syria marking the anniversary of Soleimani being killed by the U.S. military.
Soleimani led #Iran-backed militias in murdering, wounding and/or displacing millions of people. They also killed hundreds of U.S. soldiers.
Arguably the most horrific crime committed by #Iran’s regime & Qassem Soleimani outside of Iran was witnessed in #Syria. Soleimani led militias into massacring the Syrian people.
#Iran's embassy in Turkey was forced to cut short an online event in memory of Qassem #Soleimani when participants began shouting: “Iran The Murderer!”
Hatred of the mullahs' regime & Soliemani knows no borders.
And we all remember how #Iran’s dictator Khamenei wept at a ceremony for Soleimani, knowing his regime had suffered a strategic setback.
And you know who else was devastated?
"Mr. Trump killed my brother Qassem Soleimani."
Soleimani's #Iran-backed militias killed, wounded and/or displaced millions of people across the region.
They also killed hundreds of U.S. soldiers.

We’ve been getting calls and outreach from Queens residents all day about this.
The community’s response? Outrage.
Amazon is a billion-dollar company. The idea that it will receive hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks at a time when our subway is crumbling and our communities need MORE investment, not less, is extremely concerning to residents here.
When we talk about bringing jobs to the community, we need to dig deep:
- Has the company promised to hire in the existing community?
- What’s the quality of jobs + how many are promised? Are these jobs low-wage or high wage? Are there benefits? Can people collectively bargain?
Displacement is not community development. Investing in luxury condos is not the same thing as investing in people and families.
Shuffling working class people out of a community does not improve their quality of life.
We need to focus on good healthcare, living wages, affordable rent. Corporations that offer none of those things should be met w/ skepticism.
It’s possible to establish economic partnerships w/ real opportunities for working families, instead of a race-to-the-bottom competition.

Amazon will divide its second headquarters evenly between New York's Long Island City and Arlington County's Crystal City neighborhoods. Other cities may also receive major sites. https://t.co/c1lKmeQinX

1/Politics thread time.
To me, the most important aspect of the 2018 midterms wasn't even about partisan control, but about democracy and voting rights. That's the real battle.
2/The good news: It's now an issue that everyone's talking about, and that everyone cares about.
3/More good news: Florida's proposition to give felons voting rights won. But it didn't just win - it won with substantial support from Republican voters.
That suggests there is still SOME grassroots support for democracy that transcends

Bad ballot design led to a lot of undervotes for Bill Nelson in Broward Co., possibly even enough to cost him his Senate seat. They do appear to be real undervotes, though, instead of tabulation errors. He doesn't really seem to have a path to victory. https://t.co/utUhY2KTaR
