It looks like I'm back. Let's start by diving into some trash journalism from infamous Victorian 'journalist' @rachelbaxendale. A thread ⬇️#auspol #springst #ThisisNotJournalism

.@rachelbaxendale has written a total of 7 articles on Nancy Yang this year! Yang is merely an electorate officer and a part time one at that. Such an intense focus on a partime staffer is unheard of. This is clearly dog whistling nonsense. #auspol #springst #ThisisNotJournalism
The article presents ZERO and I mean zero evidence that Yang has any links to the Chinese Communist Party. It is mentioned in the first paragraph and never touched on again. Trash journalism. #auspol #springst #ThisisNotJournalism
Then why are you writing this? #WhatstheissueRachel Dog whistling is clear here. #NewsCorpse wants you to know that
1) She is Chinese
2) Works for @DanielAndrewsMP
The HeraldScum then expects their racist base to be outraged by this. #auspol #springst #ThisisNotJournalism
I don't care what stakes Yang has. I'm more concerned with the financial interests of our elected officials. There is so much corruption in The Liberal Party right now. What does Murdoch focus on? A part timer with zero political influence. #auspol #springst #ThisisNotJournalism
I know nothing of Yang's background. Perhaps she comes from a rich family. Maybe she inherited money and invested wisely? I don't know and I don't care. Why does this matter? Yang is being criticised for being successful and Chinese; which is only ok if your linked to the Libs.
Yang works as an electorate officer. She is not Chief of Staff or a Policy Adviser to @DanielAndrewsMP. SHE HAS NO POLICY INFLUENCE. Her job is to support Dan Andrews, not provide policy advice. Therefore, what is the relevance of anything in this article? There is none. #auspol
LOL. So what? Seriously, #whatstheissueRachel.
HOW DARE SHE BE INVOLVED OF THE OWNERSHIP OF MASSAGE CHAINS. 😅😅😅 #auspol #ThisisNotJournalism #springst
All this does is tell me that Nancy Yang is a highly intelligent and competent individual. Good for her!
#auspol #springst #ThisisNotJournalism
This is one of the other articles that I mentioned. It contains NO EVIDENCE, SCREENSHOTS OR ANYTHING AT ALL to prove the claims made. Even if the claims are true, Yang has no policy influence. #auspol #springst #ThisisNotJournalism

https://t.co/RsLRyzP4vX
This references another article that makes claims that Yang supported violent protests on Chinese State Media. The article provides no evidence. How do you even watch Chinese state media? How can anyone even attempt to verify or debunk the claims?

https://t.co/MzeIAX8R0d
The same article mentioned above 🔼also claims that Yang helped 500 students bus from Vic to Canberra to join the protests. I personally know nothing of these protests but according to this article they were violent. Either way, Yang has done nothing illegal. #auspol #springst
Also, it would seem that #Newscorpse is only against violence at a protest when it suits their political and media objectives. #Hypocrisy #MurdochRoyalCommission #auspol #springst
Back to the original article. What's the point of this? It doesn't tell me anything or challenge my views unless you are a racist and hate Chinese people. The point of this article is to anger racists readers against @DanielAndrewsMP for having a Chinese staffer. #auspol
Overall, the purpose of this article is to ignite the xenophobia within readers. This is an attempt to dent @DanielAndrewsMP's popularity as he employees a staffer from China. @rachelbaxendale you are a disgrace. #MurdochRoyalCommission #auspol #springst

Moving onto this article from June again by @rachelbaxendale. So I guess this is a thread within a thread. ⬇️ #auspol #MurdochRoyalCommission #springst #ThisIsNotJournalism #whatstheissuerachel

https://t.co/Gy6sfZEm9r
There is nothing wrong with a political staffer or any citizen organizing students to campaign for a political party. This is literally how democracy works @rachelbaxendale, you're just cranky that the Liberals lost (big time). #auspol #ThisIsNotJournalism #springst
This 'United Front-linked' youth group mentioned above 🔼 is the Melbourne Chinese Youth United Association. I think they are under a different name now but take a look at this Prezi from Yang in 2013. It looks pretty innocent and awesome too me.

https://t.co/vrDPJe15rK
I can't actually find a group online called 'Melbourne Chinese Youth United Association'. I think they renamed and are now the Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne. https://t.co/tpFmV5kT2j

Check out their website they do lots of fun stuff it seems.
The article claims that this Chinese youth group is linked to United Front, which is a network of groups controlled by the CCP. The article again presents NO EVIDENCE FOR THIS. All I could find online was a bunch of awesome and supportive groups for Chinese Aussies. #auspol
.@rachelbaxendale and #NewsCorpse would have you believe that any Chinese youth group is automatically linked to the CCP. This is quite clearly a bunch of B/S. #auspol #ThisIsNotJournalism #springst
Australia has many residents from China or Chinese families, many of whom are born here or have lived, studied and worked here for a long time. They are valued contributors to our multicultural society that we are so lucky to have here in Melbourne. #auspol #springst
Anyway, back to the actual article. Yes, @rachelbaxendale I would expect students that are campaigning to appear in photos on social media with the politicians. That is how campaigns work. This is not new or scandalous, you are just a hack. #ThisIsNotJournalism #auspol
Also, Adem Somyurek's branch stacking has nothing to do with this article. But Labor = bad and Liberal = good, so I guess you had to take this pot shot. A shame you don't report on the wrongdoing of Liberal MPs @rachelbaxendale #ThisIsNotJournalism #auspol #springst
Oh no! How to vote cards were handed out during the election? OMG CALL THE POLICE 🚨🚨🚨

Seriously, @rachelbaxendale you are just an embarrassment. For those who have never voted (for some reason), every party hands out how to vote cards. #ThisIsNotJournalism #auspol #springst
So, is networking now a scandal @rachelbaxendale? During elections, events are pretty common, usually people attend these events. Were you not aware of this? #auspol #ThisIsNotJournalism #springst
OMG how dare @DanielAndrewsMP take photos with students who helped him campaign! 🙄🙄🙄
This entire article is based upon China = bad and therefore Labor = bad for having Chinese students campaign for them. Racist and pathetic. #auspol #ThisIsNotJournalism #springst
Even if these students were linked to the CCP (they aren't), the students have no policy influence. They campaigned for Labor because they obviously value progressive politics. If these students campaigned for Vic Libs, these 7 articles on Nancy Yang WOULD NOT EXIST. #auspol
.@rachelbaxendale's 7 articles on Nancy Yang can be summarized by the below gif. Thanks for reading. #WhatstheissueRachel #MurdochRoyalCommission #ThisIsNotJournalism #auspol #springst #NewsCorpse #Racist (Any chance for a Star Wars gif)

The entire discussion around Facebook’s disclosures of what happened in 2016 is very frustrating. No exec stopped any investigations, but there were a lot of heated discussions about what to publish and when.

In the spring and summer of 2016, as reported by the Times, activity we traced to GRU was reported to the FBI. This was the standard model of interaction companies used for nation-state attacks against likely US targeted.

In the Spring of 2017, after a deep dive into the Fake News phenomena, the security team wanted to publish an update that covered what we had learned. At this point, we didn’t have any advertising content or the big IRA cluster, but we did know about the GRU model.

This report when through dozens of edits as different equities were represented. I did not have any meetings with Sheryl on the paper, but I can’t speak to whether she was in the loop with my higher-ups.

In the end, the difficult question of attribution was settled by us pointing to the DNI report instead of saying Russia or GRU directly. In my pre-briefs with members of Congress, I made it clear that we believed this action was GRU.
A THREAD ON @SarangSood

Decoded his way of analysis/logics for everyone to easily understand.

Have covered:
1. Analysis of volatility, how to foresee/signs.
2. Workbook
3. When to sell options
4. Diff category of days
5. How movement of option prices tell us what will happen

1. Keeps following volatility super closely.

Makes 7-8 different strategies to give him a sense of what's going on.

Whichever gives highest profit he trades in.

2. Theta falls when market moves.
Falls where market is headed towards not on our original position.

3. If you're an options seller then sell only when volatility is dropping, there is a high probability of you making the right trade and getting profit as a result

He believes in a market operator, if market mover sells volatility Sarang Sir joins him.

4. Theta decay vs Fall in vega

Sell when Vega is falling rather than for theta decay. You won't be trapped and higher probability of making profit.
So the cryptocurrency industry has basically two products, one which is relatively benign and doesn't have product market fit, and one which is malignant and does. The industry has a weird superposition of understanding this fact and (strategically?) not understanding it.

The benign product is sovereign programmable money, which is historically a niche interest of folks with a relatively clustered set of beliefs about the state, the literary merit of Snow Crash, and the utility of gold to the modern economy.

This product has narrow appeal and, accordingly, is worth about as much as everything else on a 486 sitting in someone's basement is worth.

The other product is investment scams, which have approximately the best product market fit of anything produced by humans. In no age, in no country, in no city, at no level of sophistication do people consistently say "Actually I would prefer not to get money for nothing."

This product needs the exchanges like they need oxygen, because the value of it is directly tied to having payment rails to move real currency into the ecosystem and some jurisdictional and regulatory legerdemain to stay one step ahead of the banhammer.
