Thread on Hooghly District, it's 18 Vidhan Sabha seats & BJP's chance in 2021 WB Elections.

• Uttarpara (185) - This seat is a tossup seat. This seat is held by Prabir Ghoshal of TMC. It has a very significant non Bengali population. Local TMC unit faction ridden.

 • Serampore (186) - This seat is going to BJP. The current MLA is Dr Sudipto Roy from TMC. This seat too has a a significant non Bengali population who will desert TMC en masse due to their rhetoric against Hindi speaking folks. High anti incumbency due to many issues.
• Champdani (187) - This seat is tossup. This seat is held by Abdul Mannan of INC. This seat has a significant Muslim population & also a significant SC population who I've seen are strongly leaning towards BJP. If Hindus vote en masse then BJP is winning this seat for sure.
• Singur (188) - This seat is strongly BJP. Singur gave BJP the biggest lead in Lok Sabha 2019 & TMC leaders are fearful of entering the area. Sitting MLA Rabindranath is looking to shift to BJP otherwise he knows he will lose.
• Chandannagore (189) - This seat is strongly BJP. The sitting MLA is Indranil Sen of TMC, a musician, carpetbagger who never came to the constituency since his win (rigged) in 2016. A Hindutva territory today, BJP is safely winning here.
• Chinsurah (190) - A TMC bastion since 2011, BJP will win here big this time. Hindu strongmen play a big role in Chinsurah & they have all shifted to BJP since 2019. Bangladeshi Hindu refugees also live here in large numbers whose support BJP for CAA is massive.
• Balagarh (191) - This is a SC seat which is strongly leans BJP. The sitting MLA is Asim Majhi of TMC who is massively disliked. SCs here have united against TMC as they've been denied various government schemes and because of instances of Jihadis causing rampage.
• Pandua (192) - This seat has a significant Muslim population and the MLA is Amzad Hossain of CPIM. The Hindus of Pandua Constituency have solidly galvanized behind BJP. This seat is from overall ground experience looks like is tossup between TMC & BJP.
• Saptagram (193) - This seat is held my TMC Minister Tapan Dasgupta. TMC is massively faction ridden here & Tapan is massively hated post Amphan. This seat leans BJP.
• Chanditala (194) - This seat is held by TMC MLA Swati Khan. This seat has almost 50% Muslim population. The Hindus in the area are this time absolutely united behind BJP because of anti Hindu violence in the last few years. Hindu Bahubalis shifting to BJP. Tossup.
• Jangipara (195) - This seat is held by Snehasis Chakraborty of TMC. BJP is strong here. It controls various Panchayats. Also TMC strongmen have left the local TMC organization en masse. This seat is strongly leans BJP.
• Haripal (196) - This seat is held by Becharam Manna of TMC. Huge anti incumbency here and TMC is looking at losing this seat here. Organization weakened very much. Strong men left for BJP. Leans BJP.
• Dhaniakhali (197) - This is a SC seat held by Asima Patra of TMC. BJP dominated here during Lok Sabha and will snatch this seat from TMC this time. CAA and pro Hindutva policies of BJP have galvanized SCs here behind BJP. High anti incumbency against present MLA.
• Tarakeshwar (198) - This seat is held by Rachhpal Singh of TMC. This seat has high non Bengali population. Hindus here have united against TMC. TMC faction ridden between Hindu leader group & Muslim leader group. MLA might jump ship to BJP. This seat is trending BJP strongly.
• Pursurah (199) - This seat is held by M Nuruzzaman of TMC. A Muslim majority seat, there will be fight this time and winning margin will be less but TMC will retain this seat.
• Arambagh (200) - This is a SC seat and current MLA is Manas Mazumder. BJP has gained big ground here. This seat leans BJP.
• Goghat (201) - This is a SC seat which has seen some major communal riots & political murders since 2019. BJP will win this seat this time because of Hindutva plank & anti incumbency against local MLA. Hindu Bahubalis have shifted to BJP en masse here.
• Khanakul (202) - This is a Muslim majority seat held by Iqbal Ahmed of TMC. This seat is safe TMC.

Hari Ram Gupta an eminent historian describes Gujars as 'a tribe of thieves'.
When Babur first came to India he saw Gujjars coming from the mountains and stealing away the cattle and buffaloes. They looted Indians and foreigners alike.


Historian HR Gupta while talking about Gujars says:
"they oppressed poor grass cutters and extorted money from them, those who did not pay it were beaten by them".


Basically Gujars who now claim every dynasty to be their own, were always a nomadic pastoral tribe and even now in JK. However, they took to stealing as their main profession. Proverb was 'dog, rangar, cat and gujjar, without these 4 everybody could sleep with doors open'.

This day was inevitable. Indian Muslims always lived in La La Land. They bad mouthed real well wishers & slept with the enemy who never considered them as part of them. In Gulf, Indian Muslims were busy with Javed Akhtar & Sonu Nigam. Never interacted with South Asian diaspora

Indian Muslims never spoke for Kashmiri Muslims. Distancing from separatist was understandable but we never even bothered to highlight their human rights violation & rapes carried out by forces. We could have sent them humanitarian help we didn’t. Our silence made us complicit.

When Sania Mirza married Shoaib Malik it was something legal. A Muslim married another Muslim. Entire Hindutva media went after her. They launched a witch-hunt for months. No Indian Muslim stood by her. All were silent. Now days come when Muslims are arrested for marrying a Hindu

Indian Muslims particularly the elite downplayed communalism in India by saying it will pass or Hindu majority is good. Fringe are bad. They misguiding others. Muslims were always others. Indians were happy to see Muslims sing & dance & eat their food but never considered as own

Our Constitution was handwritten by Shri. Prem Behari Raizada who took 6 months and used 254 various nibs to write the Constitution. (Image Source - Prem Foundation)


Our original constitution copy was then sent to Survey of India office where these handwritten copies were copied and distributed to its members. Even now, very few copies are freely available in the market.

Constitution of India is not only a beautiful document but a beautifully presented document too. Illustrations include Mohenjodaro period to Vedic and Epic periods to that of Maurya and Gupta Empire.

100 lives and my last operational flight

Indian Parliament was attacked by gunmen in December 2001 .. The pak sponsored terror angle was deeply being investigated and the government of the day warned the armed forces to be ready for any eventuality . 1/n


This was the period when my release from service had come through and I was getting ready for civilian life , with no idea where to go and what to do . I was in Sena bhavan trying to register with DGR for jobs having done a course in industrial security . 2/n

I was within 2 kms of parliament when it was attacked and still remember the news being played out on the radio of the shop where I stopped to grab a sandwich after all the running around , which many ex servicemen will easily relate to 3/n

In a few months , I would be an ex serviceman . The thought would often cross my mind but the decision was made and I was on my way out ! The heart therefore was heavy while I was busy conducting my last few heading a two helicopter dett . In Srinagar 4/n

Flights in my favorite bird the Mi-171vs was heavy I was trying to soak as much of Kashmir where I spent 6 long years navigating the mountains would soon fade into a memory. I would be out in the rough and tumble of the civilian world of which I had no idea at that point 5/n

This is for a single time payment product. For a subscription probably it should be less because people hate subscription.
