Richard Nixon was President in 1969, having won the election of 1968 over Hubert Humphrey by only a half million votes out of 73 million cast. He won by .7%. But since Humphrey was part of the democratic party platform in support of the Vietnam war, neither party was against it.

This is why there were riots against both parties' conventions in 1968. As now, the entire country was against the war, but both parties were nonetheless for it. The press, being run by the CIA, was of course for the war, so what the people thought didn't really matter.

The press wasn't there to follow opinion, but to create it. Nixon and Humphrey had seen what had happened to [Republican contender] George Romney—Mitt Romney's dad—when he came out against the war. The press had crucified him.

After that, all of the candidates kept quiet about the war, although it was topic number one in 1968, or should have been.

Nixon took office in January of 1969. Hoover was head of the FBI then, as he had been since its founding in
1935. Both Nixon and Hoover hated the hippies with a passion and wished to destroy them. This is now part of
the public record, and we know it from declassified documents.

Why would Intelligence be interested in faking a serial killer? Simple: to create instability and fear. This was one of the prime goals of Intelligence at the time, and of course it still is.

In the 1960's, the FBI had COINTELPRO and the CIA had CHAOS, and both programs have been partially declassified now, enough so that we know the one of the directives of each program was destabilization.

And this was not just destabilization of the “enemy.” This was a general destabilization of the whole society. Since the entire society was seen to be moving left in the 1960's, the FBI and the CIA felt that general destabilization was necessary to maintain control.

Of course they had been creating fear since the end of WW2, but that was mainly to keep military expenditures high. They needed to justify continued military spending, as well as spending to expand Intelligence, and the best way to do that was to manufacture conflict and fear.

The Cold War was manufactured by both sides, since it allowed for massive “defense” budgets both here and in Russia. The Red Scare in the 1950's was part of that creation of general fear.

Wikipedia is all but admitting what our historians do gymnastics to avoid admitting: Sea Peoples = Phoenicians. We can ignore “Illyrians” and “Tyrrhenians,” which are just poorly devised synonyms for Phoenicians.

Wiki tells us Tyrrhenian is what the Greeks called a non-Greek person, but then states that Lydia was “the original home of the Tyrrhenians,” which belies the fact that they were known as people from a specific place, not just any old non-Greek

Wiki then cleverly tells us “Spard” or “Sard” was a name “closely connected” to the name Tyrrhenian, since the Tyrrhenian city of Lydia was called Sardis by the Greeks. (By the way, coins were first invented in Lydia – so they were some of the earliest banksters).

But that itself is misleading, since the Lydians also called themselves Śfard. Nowhere is the obvious suggested – that Spard/Śfard looks a lot like Sephardi, as in
Sephardi Jews.

These refer to Jews from the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal), the word coming from Sepharad, a place mentioned in the book of Obadiah whose location is lost to history.

Back in the 1880s conservatives were those people who wished to conserve the status quo. Hence the name. They were quite satisfed with the way things were set up, and why should they not be? They were rich and connected and had it made.

Liberals were those who were not satisfed by the way things were, and so they were pushing for reforms. In general, they wished to see more fairness in government policies.

They wanted those not “of the manor born” to be given a fair shot at good employment, good wages, court access, and all the various fruits of society.

The founding fathers have even been sold as liberal in this sense, since although they were rich guys, fully connected, we are supposed to believe they believed in democracy, republicanism, and fairness in general.

That is why they go on and on about that in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Those are liberal documents, in that they deny not only the divine rights of kings, they deny any other sort of favoritism based on name or birth.

At Wikipedia, we are told MLK and the other founders of the SCLC were inspired by Billy Graham. Right. Why would these guys be inspired by Billy Graham? Please ask yourself if that makes any sense.

A brief thread on the life, religion, and language of Omar ibn Sa’id, author of the only known Arabic-language autobiography of an enslaved person in the United States.

Omar ibn Sa’id was a Fula man from what is now Senegal. He studied Islamic sciences and mathematics under prominent scholars before his enslavement in 1807 at age 37.

In his autobiography, he writes that he was taken “to a place called Charleston in the Christian language.”

He escaped from his first enslaver, but was recaptured and jailed. He wrote in Arabic on the walls of his cell, attracting the attention of the Governor of North Carolina and his brother, who took Omar to their home, where he remained until his death in 1864.

He continued to write short Arabic theological and philosophical texts through his life - his autobiography in 1831, letters, annotations in his Bible, and passages from the Qur’an.

He converted to Christianity in 1820, but his relationship to Christianity was always ambiguous

He writes more about Jesus after his conversion, but the language he uses is consistent with Islamic views of Jesus - المسيح (Messiah) and سيدنا (our master), but not ربنا, our Lord
