The UK misreporting data. A thread for Scots:

I remember working on a particular project. I'm a Business Analyst.

We were to produce reporting data to the executive on various statistics relating to the Banks contact centre.

1/14

UK Gov COVID Stats 👇
https://t.co/1pXGapctNH

How does this relate to the COVID stats you ask. Stick with it.

The bank call abandon rate was around 40%. So 40% of customer calls did not get answered on the customers first attempt to make contact.

So the bank employed agency staff to handle inbound calls.

2/14
The result was that call abandonment dropped to around 5%.

Fabulous said everyone until I pointed out the obvious.

The agency staff, with little experience of that bank and its products, were simply taking customer details and putting them in a call back queue.

3/14
A call bank queue that the banks' full-time staff would have to outbound call.

This meant that 35% of customers who called still did not have their enquiry dealt with and 5% who still didn't have their call answered at all.

So 'technically' STILL a 40% abandon rate.

4/14
Now the UK Gov have a COVID 19 vaccination strategy that claims to have vaccinated 3.2 million people of the 65 million people in the UK.

In fact, a two-step process means that these people will not be 'fully vaccinated' until they have a second injection.

5/14
45% of over 80s and 40% of care home residents have received their 'FIRST' 'jab' apparently.

They have not been 'fully vaccinated'.

So what is the point of this thread?

Well it illustrates two very important points for the people of Scotland (and elsewhere of course)

6/14
1. Data Manipulation:

Data can be manipulated to show you whatever you want if you want to present it in a particular way.

Here the UK Government would have you believe that 3.2 million people have been vaccinated when in fact they are only halfway through the process.

7/14
As with the bank, (where the exec thought the abandon rate dropped to 5%)

...THE REPORTING IS A DISTORTION OF THE ACTUAL EVENTS.

In other words, the UK governments reporting is not true. It is a cover-up of the real progress being made.

Now to very important point 2!

8/14
2. Scottish Independence:

There are many statistics espoused by the UK government and their supporters.

Many that would see Scotland in a position where it would 'LOOK AS IF' we would be unable to support ourselves as an independent nation.

9/14
Think for a minute.

If the UK Government blatantly lie at such a level where we can easily analyse and highlight the distortion with vaccination stats

...what do you think they will do to any figures in terms of providing proper analysis of Scotland or her resources?

10/14
I think we can agree that statistics coming from Westminster will be, miscalculated (GERS), have missing resources (ship to ship oil transfer) or be underestimated (exports).

So when Westminster says you are too poor ...remember something about the British state ...

11/14
UK Gov used the same propaganda tools and techniques when making the case against the independence, of ALL other nations in the 'Empire', that decided self-determination was best for them.

None have asked to return because they failed.

That's because none of them failed.

12/14
Distorting Scotlands position in the world, financial or otherwise has been, and will continue to be their strategy.

That they would use a global pandemic and the vaccination process as a marketing tool to make themselves look good tells you all you need to know.

13/14
So don't be surprised when they use distortion, lies and misinformation when trying to convince you (wrongly) that Scotland couldn't be an independent nation.

Of course we can.
We only need to vote for it.

Then we need to build the nation we want.

More from Government

How does a government put a legislation on 'hold'? Is there any constitutional mechanism for the executive to 'pause' a validly passed legislation? Genuine Koshan.

So a committee of 'wise men/women' selected by the SC will stand in judgement over the law passed by

Here is the thing - a law can be stayed based on usual methods, it can be held unconstitutional based on violation of the Constitution. There is no shortcut to this based on the say so of even a large number of people, merely because they are loud.

Tomorrow can all the income tax payers also gather up at whichever maidan and ask for repealing the income tax law? It hurts us and we can protest quite loudly.

How can a law be stayed or over-turned based on the nuisance value of the protestors? It is anarchy to allow that.

Once upon a time there was a Raja named Uttānapāda born of Svayambhuva Manu,1st man on earth. He had 2 beautiful wives - Suniti & Suruchi & two sons were born of them Dhruva & Uttama respectively.

Now Suniti was the daughter of a tribal chief while Suruchi was the daughter of a rich king. Hence Suruchi was always favored the most by Raja while Suniti was ignored. But while Suniti was gentle & kind hearted by nature Suruchi was venomous inside.

The story is of a time when ideally the eldest son of the king becomes the heir to the throne. Hence the sinhasan of the Raja belonged to Dhruva. This is why Suruchi who was the 2nd wife nourished poison in her heart for Dhruva as she knew her son will never get the throne.

One day when Dhruva was just 5 years old he went on to sit on his father's lap. Suruchi, the jealous queen, got enraged and shoved him away from Raja as she never wanted Raja to shower Dhruva with his fatherly affection.

Dhruva protested questioning his step mother "why can't i sit on my own father's lap?" A furious Suruchi berated him saying "only God can allow him that privilege. Go ask him"
