Fluorine is made out of raw material which is known as Fluorspar. China contributes to 60% of mining of Fluorspar. Due to environmental concerns, China has cut back on fluorspar mining and processing. Fluorine is replacing toxic chemicals.

Navin is a business which is a backward integrated and for Fluorspar they have a tie up with Gujarat fluorochemicals and and GMDC and they source all their floors from Africa.
@ishmohit1 @ias_summit @MashraniVivek @cautkarshpandey Navin is backwards integrated into hydrochloric acid from there it makes all types of intermediates that are possible it goes into 6 or 7 or 8 steps of reactions and from there they make all the intermediates.
@ishmohit1 @ias_summit @MashraniVivek @cautkarshpandey Navin will be renaming its Specialty Chemicals business as Custom Synthesis Business (which PI Industries does). In Speciality chemicals they are doing CRAMS for Agro Chemicals which PI does.

Navin does contract manufacturing of intermediates for Pharma innovators. Currently there are 2 molecules under the commercial production. Navin is also planning to do forward integration into the API

• Optionality from EV and Other opportunities. Navin is working on 2 Lithium Based molecules on Hexafluoride chemistry. One of the molecule is in collaboration with a French Company. The molecule is manufactured through Organic route and is touted to replace Lithium.

I have traded 1 lot continuously twice in my life. The first in 2003 after I blew up on my INFY trade. I traded 1 lot ACC fut consistently and made 50k in a month

The 2nd time in 2013. When I suffered continuous losses for 5-6 months due to a variety of psychological issues. Then I traded 1 lot Nifty options consistently for 3 months. After that 2 lots for next 1 month and slowly increased

I have shared these two incidents on my various interveiws and regularly share this in detail with my handholding students when I talk about trading psychology.

This logic of trading 1 lot to iron out trading issues I learnt from the interview of Anthony Saliba, who traded 1 lot in options for 6 months. BTW, Saliba was the only options trader to have been profiled on the original Market Wizards ( I read his interview and used his logic)

Lot of regulatory crackdown in China. Top rated companies are available for huge discounts. $BABA for example now has a market cap of less than 600 Billion and is bigger than Amazon in every regard.

I have been aggressively investing more in Chinese equities than Indian ones.

Logarithmic v/s Linear scale chart.

Tried to capture the most important (but most ignored) concept in simplest language.

For many people, this is going to be an eye opener.

U may share this thread so that it can reach to maximum people of our traders community.

Story :

Assume that you have been recruited as an Engineer in 1990 in XYZ company with salary of 4 k.

Next year (i.e. 1991) you got 20% salary hike and now your salary is 4k + 20% % rise = 4.8K.

You got extremely happy due to salary increment of 800 INR.

Now after 30 years in 2021, Your salary is 1.2 lac and today your boss has approved salary hike of whooping 800 INR.

But wait, the strange thing is, You are not happy today.

Bt Why??

The reason is simple.

Hike of 800 INR in 1991 was 20% of salary and the same amount now is less than 1% of current salary.

I hope you got my point.

This is where the "Log" chart comes into the picture.

Log chart depicts the price (Y axis of chart) with unit spaced in percentage terms.

Means the distance between 1-100 is bigger than 1100-1200.

While in normal chart the distance between numbers/unit is uniform.

linear chart treats 800 INR in same way irrespective of year.

After that awful start, he swerves to making accusations that the Epoch Times is connected to the 'cult' Falon Gong.

Brown insinuates with no real evidence whatsoever that the Epoch Times is 'Falon Gong-linked'.

The 'evidence' he supplies in his article to 'prove' @EpochTimes is 'Falon Gong-linked is this:

1) the Epoch Times' extensive *news coverage* of China's attempts to wipe out Falon Gong with intense persecution directed at the group since 1999.

2) a reporter *shouting a question in 2006* at then-President George W. Bush about China's persecution of Falon Gong members.

The story is of a time when ideally the eldest son of the king becomes the heir to the throne. Hence the sinhasan of the Raja belonged to Dhruva.This is why Suruchi who was the 2nd wife nourished poison in her heart for Dhruva as she knew her son will never get the throne.


One day when Dhruva was just 5 years old he went on to sit on his father's lap. Suruchi, the jealous queen, got enraged and shoved him away from Raja as she never wanted Raja to shower Dhruva with his fatherly affection.


Dhruva protested questioning his step mother "why can't i sit on my own father's lap?" A furious Suruchi berated him saying "only God can allow him that privilege. Go ask him"

So there's a class of puzzles called "river crossing puzzles" which involve having to cross a river on a boat/bridge containing some set of individuals/items with restrictions on which ones can be on the boat/left on each shore, right?

and the most common subclass of these problems is the one where you have 3 items/animals to cross with.
This is alternatively called the "fox, goose, and bag of beans" or "wolf, goat, and cabbage" puzzle.

the idea is that your boat can only carry one item at a time, but if you leave the wolf/fox unattended with the goat/goose, the wolf/fox will eat the goat/goose.
and similarly, the goose/goat will eat the beans/cabbage if left alone

so you have to set up a set of actions that never leaves either side of the river in one of the lose-states.

the solution to this variant being:
1. take the goat/goose over
2. return empty
3. take the wolf/fox over
4. return with the goat/goose
5. take the cabbage/beans over
6. return empty
7. take the goat/goose over

A thread on HN about bad code in legacy projects both makes me think how little we've learned as a discipline over the years and, honestly, how little credit we give ourselves for some pretty major

Fun going down this list and thinking: "Hmm, plausible at a well-run modern software shop", "Hmm, possible, but requires implausible tradeoffs", "Literally disallowed by languages", and "If you were to attempt doing that our test suite wouldn't let you merge."

I think we as an industry celebrate (not quite the right word) failure too much and don't celebrate success nearly enough. There is no DailyWTF for competent execution, word of which generally stays pretty local to the source while incompetence passes into legend.

Alrighty let me try to thread the needle on being the change I want to see in the world while not giving away anything that will get me in trouble:

Ruby has wonderful developer ergonomics. Typed languages are easier for machines to guarantee the correctness of. We built a type checker for Ruby (and I believe it is slated for OSS release sometime).
