Wangxian post canon where one night, Lwj is late home. Wwx knows Lwj has been teaching today, so he goes to find his husband instead. When he reaches lwj’s classroom and slides open the door he sees Lwj, and in his arms is a gently snoozing baby disciple

Lwj blinks slowly in a gesture to tell Wwx to move quietly, but Wwx is already barely breathing in fear of waking the sleeping little one.

The little body rises and falls with each slow breath, and lwjs hand is a cradle on the back of the child’s head
‘How long have they been sleeping?’ Wwx mouths at lwj, who replies ‘since the end of class’

The child’s breath catches and they both freeze, then let out a silent sigh when no further reaction happens.

Wwx treads carefully over to the pair
As he kneels, he catches sight of a chubby cheek, smushed against the shoulder of his husbands white robes. His heart clenches. “Hello little one,” he reaches forwards and with one finger gently strokes back the hair from the child’s face. Big eyes blink open sleepily
“Morning,” Wwx smiles, and the child stretches out two chubby arms towards him, a silent demand to be carried. Wwx accepts, of course he does. He lifts the Lan disciple into his arms, shifting to lean against lwjs side
“What is their name?”

“A-Li,” Lwj places one palm on the little girls head, and Wwx feels a lump form in his throat.

“A-Li,” he sways gently, “well A-Li, it’s very nice to meet you”
A-Li lets out a low sound of contentment, and Wwx does not know how he feels but he knows he is happy. So much so. Lwj’s arms come up around them both, and the man begins to hum.
Wwx recognises it as their song and he joins in, humming in tune with Lwj, their combined voices a lullaby promising safety and happiness for the sleeping child.
At some point he must fall asleep, for when he wakes the weight in his arms is gone and he is tucked into their bed in the jingshi.

Lwj tells him that the little girl is an orphan, and has trouble sleeping at night which is why she fell asleep in class
“Lan Zhan... do you want to -“

“Yes.”

Wwx laughs “you don’t even know what I was going to say!”

“I do,” Lwj cradles his hands, pressing a kiss to the back of them, “Wei Ying would like a family”
“A-Yuan would make a great older brother,”

“He would.”

“We’ll have to remind him that he’s still our baby boy though, our little radish.”

“Mn, our son.”

“When can we adopt her?”

“Tomorrow.”
And when tomorrow came around, they did.
And that’s it! Wangxian married and have a son, and also now a daughter ❤️ and do they adopt more children? Probably 🥰🥰 here’s a link back to the top if anyone wanted it 🥰 https://t.co/gQj3iaegHB

The common understanding of propaganda is that it is intended to brainwash the masses. Supposedly, people get exposed to the same message repeatedly and over time come to believe in whatever nonsense authoritarians want them to believe /1

And yet authoritarians often broadcast silly, unpersuasive propaganda.

Political scientist Haifeng Huang writes that the purpose of propaganda is not to brainwash people, but to instill fear in them /2

When people are bombarded with propaganda everywhere they look, they are reminded of the strength of the regime.

The vast amount of resources authoritarians spend to display their message in every corner of the public square is a costly demonstration of their power /3

In fact, the overt silliness of authoritarian propaganda is part of the point. Propaganda is designed to be silly so that people can instantly recognize it when they see it

Propaganda is intended to instill fear in people, not brainwash them.

The message is: You might not believe in pro-regime values or attitudes. But we will make sure you are too frightened to do anything about it.
Humans inherently like the act of solidarity. We are social beings. We like to huddle up and be together.
They used this against us.
They convinced us that it was an act of solidarity to flatten the curve, to wear a mask for others, to take the vaccines for others,

and to reach #covidzero for others. They convinced us that this was for the greater good of society.
In reality, this couldn't be further away from the truth. They have divided us and broken the core structure of our society. They have dehumanized us with their masks.

They set us against each other into clans on opposite sides of a spectrum. They have turned us into aggressive beings fighting for our survival. Some of us fear harm from the virus, others fear harm from the vaccine, and yet others fear harm from the attack on our civilization.

We are all on a flight or fight mode. We are all operating under the influence of fear. We must collect ourselves and reflect on what has happened over the last year.
How is this for the greater good of society?

They used a tactical warfare strategy against us.
'Divide and conquer'.
We fell for it.
Now we must become aware of it and fight back.
We must reunite. We must find true solidarity to save our world. To free ourselves. To regain our autonomy.

SFFN claims that it has been “a project of the Center For Countering Digital Hate” since 4 May 2020. The relationship between the two organisations, however, appears to date back far longer. And crucially, CCDH is linked to a number of figures on the Labour right. #LabourLeaks

Center for Countering Digital Hate registered at Companies House on 19 Oct 2018, the organisation’s only director was Morgan McSweeney – Labour leader Keir Starmer’s chief of staff. McSweeney was also the campaign manager for Liz Kendall’s leadership bid. #LabourLeaks #StarmerOut

Sir Keir - along with his chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney - held his first meeting with the Jewish Labour Movement (JLM). Deliberately used the “anti-Semitism” crisis as a pretext to vilify and then expel a leading pro-Corbyn activist in Brighton and Hove
