I actually once outed a well known professor for being a fraud. All this started with his British professor colleague joking in class how he loved America b/c most Americans thought he was so brilliant just b/c he had a British accent. He told the class how back home-

he was nothing, but he was given some advice by another British friend that in America he could thrive because they would find him exotic & different. So he left Britain & came to America climbing all the way to the top of the Ivy League. While overseas, I actually ran n2 a Brit-

that knew him & said, "Oh yes, we regarded him as pretty mediocre for our tastes. Many failed British scholars go to America where they can be stars. We send all our mediocrity there." He said that shit very nonchalantly, but with dead seriousness. He said this wasn't just true--

-in academia but in many other fields as well. He called this "the lure of immigrant exotics." He said that human beings have a natural tendency to be attracted to the exotic. He felt many of Britain's failed scholars had cracked the code of parlaying their accent &

-foreign exoticism into a pretty lucrative lifestyle overseas. He went on to explain to me that "immigrant exotics" do well in America b/c Americans don't know shit about their lives before reaching American soil. "We know them. U don't." Damn. What is even more maddening about-

this is that in many of the institutions I attended, more immigrants had full scholarships than American students. This is insane. At my alma mater Yale, there were more Africans on full scholarship than descendants of American slaves despite Yale being founded with slave money.

Shit, there way way more Africans admitted than "Us." Hear me. No American should be able to go to another nation & have a better life than the natives who built the country. Likewise, no immigrant should be able to come here & have a better life than "Us."

This is NOT xenophobia. This is patriotism. I demand America put Americans first. This is also not a pandering to Trump's "America 1st" but the reason why this played so well among poor whites is b/c this country has been devaluing the citizenship of its own citizens for yrs by-

enriching corporate titans thru the cheap labor of offshoring American jobs, giving full scholarships 2 foreign students over Americans who take out student loans & work multiple jobs to attend American universities, rampant unemployment b/c jobs are leaving America,-

decreased wages & a ton of other economic policies that keep many Americans, black & white, stuck at the bottom of society. Put simply, America is increasingly spending more money exporting democracy abroad than protecting & enriching it's democracy back at home.

I consider this behavior, regardless of the-political party of the person peddling it, to be treasonous. Cicely Tyson sees it too, which is why she recently sounded the alarm in her New York Times interview, "they are hiring blacks, but they are hiring black actors from Africa &

the question has been whats the difference? He's Black. Ah, but he's Black African as opposed 2 Black American. They're taking away our jobs." The interviewer disagreed, which I find peculiar, but some1 do me a favor & see if U can find out any background info on the interviewer.

And I'm not just talking about where he worked. Good luck. Let me know what U find. He's hiding something. Remember what I said from the outset of this post. I'm deeply suspicious of people who rise to certain heights &

you can't find out anything them, especially the early formative years of their life. An interviewer's background is as important a topic as the person they are interviewing as it frames the context of the questions they choose to ask & the questions they choose not to ask.

Here, the interviewer specifically asked Ms. Tyson about the abuse of black men like Bill Cosby & Miles Davis. Ms. Tyson has worked w/a ton of black men in Hollywood & on Broadway. Out of all the black men he could have asked about, what made him focus on THESE two black men?

Ms. Tyson, of course, was astute enough to NOT take-the bait. There is a concerted effort in this country by many in media to constantly pit black women against black men. Many times its done very subtly & at other times, its more overt. Whether its the constant portrayal of-

-black women "saving America" as opposed to black men not doing shit but going to jail, not having a job & getting shot by the police or black men as being cast a sexually & violently abusive while white people give black women safe harbor from it all. It can be maddening when a-

black person starts seeing the racial forest for the trees. Meanwhile, Ms. Tyson's warning about black people being replaced or black people "Uncle Tomming" is real. Most black people are like the Miles Davis Ms. Tyson described, "bruised by the hurts this life metes out."

Thus, dealing with "Us" can sometimes be a very painful ordeal. Regardless, black people were broken long ago & any abuse we give each other is a direct reflection of the people who originally broke "Us." It is often very difficult to remember this fact when you're deep in-

the midst of trying to help our people. I'm not convinced that black people can ever be totally put back together. Trauma too bad. Scars too deep. Not even White Jesus can even fix dis shit. Reparations can't either. Reparations ain't even fair. White folks can't afford fair.

Fair would be letting black folks enslave white folks for 250 yrs, lynch them for another hundred & then beat them w/black police for another hundred after that. Then sprinkle on a few heaping dashes of housing & employment discrimination w/a side of constant racial profiling,-

a liberal immigration policy that allows Europeans, Australians & Russians 2 come 2 the US & hv a better life than American whites & the total blackwashing/superimposing of blackness over every square inch of this society & then we just might be taking the 1st step towards "fair"

But make no mistake about it, even if we did all that, the debt would still not be paid as compensatory damages fail in comparison to the punitive damages of what white people have done 2 black people in this country. That debt is incalculable, unpayable & would bankrupt America.

Thus all reparations could ever B 4 white people is a down payment 2 black people 4 the mortgaging of their souls w/o their consent. To be clear, Reparations Ain't Fair (R.A.F). Reparations is beneath fair.
