In 2021, $BABA increased their cloud infrastructure market share to ~38%, stealing market share from $TCEHY & Huawei who have ~17% share each.

"Alibaba CEO Daniel Zhang said in a call with investors this week that ongoing technological improvements and upgrades have enabled the company to expand its portfolio of sophisticated services, offering them for free or at lower costs than before to merchants and partners."

Through these decisions, $BABA is leveraging its scale to bring efficiency and lower costs for merchants and sellers, which in return will bring more sellers/merchants and buyers. Also, Alibaba is giving up profits today for longer period of profits in the future.

1. Problem
China have MANY medical problems. These include: poor structure of the Chinese medical system, inadequate/unequal resources, long waiting time, expensive medical services, sub-par medical quality and insufficient or unskilled medical staff.

2. Long waiting time
It is very inconvenient to visit a doctor in China unless you go to expensive private ones. There is not a clear distinction between a GP and a specialist, causing many elderlies, to crowd the hospital even when they only have a small medical issue.

2.1 A typical hospital visit in China may take up to 2-3 hours, half a day, or even a full day. You can basically image a Chinese hospital is like your favorite next door grocery stores constantly at 120%-200% capacity.

3. Medical Expenditure
Although the Chinese medical system has been improving, it is still unorganised and inefficient, causing medical services/medicine to be ‘expensive’, especially to low-income earners in China. Medical service is more expensive in China than the US % wise.

On the 19th Sept. 2014 $BABA opened at 92.70$ at the NYSE. Today it has 35.8x the revenue and 35.6x the net income.

The stock was lower yesterday at 90.82$

*Run-rate core P/E probably about 40x post SBC with further significant declines possible.
*Regulatory risks/headwinds.
*Still over-owned.

I've been arguing for a while now people have been using inappropriately low forward P/E multiples for BABA, often arguing it's on <20x 2021, excluding substantial SBC and failing to account the earnings risks & reasons why the stock has been going down in the first place.
